Do any of you wear the LeMysterie (sp?) bra that Ophra loves? I bought two agt $72 bucks a piece and I hate them. I must have been out of my mind! The straps are too short for me and my boobs start right under my collar bones. I hate that!

A friend of mine has started using it and her skin looks really good. She's not involved in the pyramid, she's just a customer, but she has really been raving about this product to me. Before I spend $400 on facial care, I figured I'd see if I could find any other customers/non-customers. I do believe you get what you pay for, but it'd be nice to know about more than just one satisifed (or dissatisfied) customer.

  5. I had one today. I went for my annual mamogram. On the paper work they ask if you have gained or lost more then 10 pounds in the last year. So naturally I put yes. When I was finally led in to the torture chamber, the technician was going over my paperwork and ask if I had lost or gained. I told her I had lost 23 pounds. She ask me how. I figured she would see my scars anyway, so I told her I had lapband surgery. She said really! She then told me she had her stomach stapled like 20 years ago, and how awful the experience was and showed me her hidious scar. She also told me a coworker died from the stomach stapling. She didn't know anything about lapband, so I…

Well it's sad but true. BCBS of TN has denied me for the lap band. I'm definitely not giving up but I'm very discouraged right now.:cry There's not much left for me to do now...I've jumped through all the insurance hoops. I'm tired of jumping now...I've done my part and am still doin' my part. The denial letter was so uniform, cold and....:speechles . I tell myself that I just have to believe that God is gonna see me through all this. Please pray for me.:help:

  8. Hi All! This is the official sign up thread. Easter is April 16th, which is a Sunday, of course. I will close the sign up time on March 15th, so that will give everyone plenty of time to decide if you want to participate or not. You should plan to ship your "Spring has Sprung" gift by April 1 (easy to remember, April Fool's Day!) to ensure timely delivery. OK. Go. Kimberly-lilly is IN.

  12. Oh man! What a night! My Mom came & spent the night with me last night. She was started on Ambien CR 2 weeks ago. Despite saying that she was sleeping great, she was still complaining of being tired & also complaining of having a unexplained weight gain. When my Dad dropped her off last night he chuckled & told me that Mom had gotten up yesterday morning & chewed him out for eating her piece of cake (she likes the middle pieces). He proceeded to tell me that he watched her get up at 1am & eat a huge piece of chocolate cake. She is sleep walking & eating in her sleep!!!!! How scarey is that? :der: It doesn't end there. Today was the end of DeLarla's 3 month weight loss challenge, and JoLynn worked her buns off and got rid of 54 pounds of fat! Rockin Robin & Big Paul were tough competition, but JoLynn won the huge list of prizes. Please stop by that thread and congratulate all the "losers" because even though JoLynn lost the most weight, lots of people dropped extra pounds throughout the challenge. Hi all, I had to post this. I have been actively trying to stop this hunt for 2 years now. What is even more shocking is how badly global warming has melted and effected the ice for seals, polar bears, etc. I don't think people realize how bad the warming is. If they did, I think they would stop buying the SUV's. The senseless slaughter of 230,000 seal pups began this week off the coast of Newfoundland. This second phase of Canada's annual commercial seal hunt takes place off the remote Front of Newfoundland and Labrador, its cruelty usually safely out of sight from the rest of the world. A competitive, reckless environment known to be extremely difficult to regulat…

I am so furious. I think someone dumped two dogs- a boxer and a really overweight golden retreiver/lab in my yard on Wednesday. I saw them when I got home from work on Wednesday but they ran away and I thought they were just farm dogs on a stroll. Last night when I got home one of them was peaking out from behind the shed. I followed him and found the other one laying in the weeds covered in snow. I thought she was dead because it was only 11 degrees yesterday. Last night it was -5 with a windchill of -30. If I hadn't found them last night they probably would have frozen to death. People can be so cruel. So now I have two more mouths to feed if no one claims…

Big footed women! I just replied to a post about shoe size that reminded me -- I'd been wanting to post about shoe stores. I'm a big footed (and big everything else, except boobs ) woman. I need more shoes! Where can you find large sizes and wide widths at, and still have them look decent? Doesn't need to be cheap, just cute & good quality. I know Payless carries larger sizes but I'm not a Payless fan. I've bought some pairs through Cloudwalkers at Avenue but a lot of it isn't really that great -- they'll have really cute shoes with super ugly soles, or cute shoes that only come in fuschia and lime, or cute shoes that are all... bedazzled. Not for me. …

Many of the people in the land of my exile seem to be easily offended. One young lady was terribly offended when I said the word “damn!” She had just told me that she never needed to come to math class or study, and she was still getting an “A” in the class. I believe what I actually told her was “Damn! I hate you! Please be my tutor!” Her husband is in my program, and the next day he told me how offended and hurt she was that I swore at her. One of my all time favorite shows, Farscape, used the word “Frell” and Battlestar Galactica uses “frack” to use in place of “the f-word.” (and no, I don’t mean food….) Last semester in my ceramics class, I broke a pot that had…

  27. This was a fun conversation at work today, it actually stemmed from two questions. 1) What did you want to be when you grew up? 2) What really weird thing did you think/do as a child? I wanted to be a geologist. I had this weird obsession with rocks, and you know -- when you're a kid, that's all a geologist works with. I'd go to the canyon behind our house and find "pretty rocks" and collect them. My parents bought me a rock tumbler when I was a kid so I could tumble my rocks and make things from them. Whenever we'd go to Sea World or Disneyland I didn't want the Shamu shirt or the mouse ears, I wanted the piece of cardboard with different rocks glued to it, or the…

I got my band first, so she got to pick my brains about the surgery, and then I watched her wheel into and out of surgery. Neither of us have children, nor are we "kid people". We lead icebreakers all the time, but mostly for corporate teambuilding, problem-solving, etc. Our repetoire does not include activities for kids. I've gotten some ideas from google, but I know LOTS of you out there have children and surely you've had to entertain them, right? Any ideas on a few good icebraks for kids? I'm going to guess we'll have about 30 - 45 kids, a huge room, and maybe about $1000 budget.
