Well, the news is in, and I guess it's not earth-shattering. In its infinite wisdom the organization has decided to go with someone else. I have no idea who, or what her qualifications are, but I'm told it was the usual "difficult decision." Sigh. Thanks again for your counsel and support through this. I'm deeply disappointed, but very motivated now to find out what I'm really supposed to be doing. Insurance sure isn't it.

Just got a call from my gyno saying they found endometrial cells in my pap. He said the cells were normal, but that they should not be in the pap. I have to go into more tests because it's either nothing or Uterine cancer. :-( AT my last visit, he was very, very supporive of my getting the band, because he said, the weight will increase my risks of cancers like Uterine cancer. I got the band to avoid all that...:think

I would create a law that made it so that anyone caught throwing a cigarette butt out of their window had to go back, search until they found it, and eat it.

So I had Xrays taken by a chiropractor, and he let me take a picture of them, because I thought that it was cool to see my band ("What IS that?!" he says). So I ws looking for stationry bike or a treadmill, and they mostly have a maximum wieght limit of 250-300 pounds. I looked at Walmart, Kmart, LOL You know the affordable places!!!! Does anyone know of of a compny or any equipment that supports up to 500 pounds??? Would appreciate some info.

okay, there is a freakin lizard in our house...a flat geko i think...how the hell it got up on the the 4th floor of our building and then climbed into our apartment I don't know but it scuttled in a week ago, and the cats chased it behind the tv furniture. We hadn't seen it since then and tonight it turned up in our bedroom! eeecccccckkkkkkkk!! I tried to catch it in a tupperware bowl, but it run under the skin in the bathroom....now what???? Wondering if anyone here uses this google adsense thing and if so do you have any tips on Ad placement how to draw people to your site etc. I've been running it for almost 2 months now, I hear people CAN make alot using it on their sites but I'm not doing as well as I hear others are doing. I've made about 25.00 a month and I'm not complaining just looking for more ideas on how to better use it.

I had a great time in NJ visiting my friend Jody but am truly disappointed that I didn't get to meet NJChick while I was there. When I had my psyche eval, my doctor told me that I was not crazy but that I think every one else is. :love: But I can't be the only one, right? Wow, I had one of the most thought-provoking experiences of my life this past week. I'm still absorbing it all. I just thought I'd come on here and share a bit with you because I'm really not sure what do do with this experience. After a long illness, my Uncle Harry (82) died last week. It wasn't a sad death, it'd been coming for awhile. Uncle Harry was quite a character. He was president of his class in High School and was set to go to Stanford, derailed by WWII, ended up owning a bar and going thru 3 wives--raising 5 children (some his, some not). Ok - I went swimming in our complex pool - (about 10minutes in the Water and 20 drying off) and was wearing board shorts...got to cover those legs - ha. Anyway as we were leaving I noticed my thigh was kinda burning and as I walked home my immediate thought was 'thighs rubbing together' - something I am quite familiar with. But when I got home and pulled off the trunks I had a huge red burning rash about 6 inches long and 4 inches wide in my inner thigh. One side is a straight red line like you'd get with a sunburn, maybe where your clothes stopped and bare skin begins but the other side is misshapen. Very strange. I just read this article (posted below)tonight and thought it is really interesting how a perception of something generally thought to be negative can change based on circumstances. I used to work for a lady that was very large (400#ish), who got what she thought to be a boil on the back of her thigh. It got bigger over the next week and she finally was taken in to the Dr who immediately admitted her to surgery. Turned out she had contracted that flesh eating staph bacteria. The Dr's later said that her fat saved her leg and probably her life! The bacteria was not able to eat as far and invade. A smaller person after a week would have at the very least lost their leg. My friend confided something with me today that was pretty scary & I am no quite sure what to do with this info. She told me that her husband & 12 yr. old daughter got into an argument a few days before & the husband ended up pushing his daughter into a wall & then kicking her. The daughter went to school limping. Some of her friends at school asked her what was wrong & she told them the truth. I am a high school teacher. I NEED things for my classes next year. I teach technology on PII, Windows 98, 128mb, old Dell computers. I have one video camera and one scanner. Also teach ART I, II, and III with a $400.00 budget. YIKES!!! I am considering running an ad in the local newspaper asking for donations in exchange for tax receipts from the school. Don't think my district would approve (because they would be put on the spot), but they won't fund my classes either. Well, my youngest is growing up. I am sad and happy all at the same time. This is just one more right of passage. PROM NIGHT!! He and a gang of his friends all decided to go together as a group. Myself and some of the parents rented a Stretch Limo for them all. Gives us a piece of mind. So all 9 of them met at our house and took some pics then jumped in the Limo for their ride to the Prom. I am a little choked up about this. I am surprised that this is affecting me as much as it is. But man do I have a handsome son. Well you be the judge.

I have a hard time controlling my temper when people over explain things that could be sumed up in a few short sentences. You know, like when people just keep rambling on about something thinking they need to get down to all the technicalities of why they would chain a dog up a certain way. Update, in case anyone is interested: I had the interview yesterday, and it seemed to go well. There were three people there, including the person I'd be replacing. We talked about my prior experience with the organization, what I learned, what they've changed in the interim, how I'd get back up to speed, how I might handle specific situations, my personal situation and how it's changed, the challenges ahead in the short term for the organization, what I do now and how it relates... It frustrates me. Take Australian Big Brother at the moment. There was a mother daughter pair went in there, both had had recent boob jobs as a mother/daughter thing Big fat bouncy plastic huuuuuuuge boobs on the pair of them, stick thin as they were. Ok about this same time last year I went to Maryland to attend a close friends wedding. I wore this cute blue outfit. (SEE PIC) I was stalled in my weight loss and had stabilized at 245 lbs. I was not happy with where I was at and wanted to lose more. Instead just 6 short months later I lost my band instead. So today, I attend a wedding here in Pasadena. Beautiful bride and groom exhuding love for each other. Makes me puke. LOL!! No really it was very touching and sweet. They are so cute together and so meant for each other as well. I've always had a cast Iron gut, but I went in to have a "Phototherapeautic Keratectomy" done on my left eye on Thursday - a procedure I've put off twice through fear.
