The Bunnies are 6 days old--new pix

They still have eyes sealed shut, but now have a bit of fur, and the sweetest whiskers! They spend 99% of their time huddled in the nest, sleeping. I watched momma nurse them once--those babies are very uncoordinated!

Here are some new pix!

Those baby pics make me cry. It's not fair that YOU have baby bunnies and I don't.

Shelly, that's a big ol' bunny but that thang is way over 22 lbs. My cat was 23 pounds and about 1/4 the size of that bunny. Maybe 122 pounds?

Many years ago, when my oldest daughter was in 2nd grade she and some friends caught a rabbit. It had been a pet that a teenage neighbor had apparently tired of (beast of a girl). My Dad built her a hutch, she named the rabbit "Lucy" and all was fine. A few months later she wanted me to bring the rabbit to school for show -n- tell, so we put it in a cat carrier and off Lucy and I went to school. During her little show -n- tell talk one of the kids ask her why she named her Lucy. I listened, wondering myself how she at her age had known it was a female. Her answer was very simple.... because it was loose when I caught it. Loosey? OMG!!! When we later took her to the vet I had to laugh when they wrote her name as Lucy...I did correct it! Gotta love the way kids think! Your little babies are so sweet...enjoy them!

Kat

oh those are just so precious!! their fur is at that velvet stage where you just want to rub them against your cheek and under your chin all day long.
