  3. Sometimes, you gotta just eat what you want. Not a lot of it, or often, but sometimes.... If you don't give in occasionally to your demons, they'll force feed you later.
  4. And here's yet another fine example of why someone who used to read/post on this board every day now manages to force herself to come back once or twice a month. /sigh. Yea, that's me. Someone call me when y'all finish snarking at each other. Til then, I'll go play EverQuest

  7. Thanks for the responses. Roughage wasn't my problem; actually, I'd had some pretty serious dental work done that morning and hadn't eaten anything but mashed taters and my meds lol. It's nice to know it's not just me tho
  8. For those of you who had your gall bladders out - with, or before banding - and had serious gall stone attacks... Do you get phantom ones? I had my gall bladder out 15 years ago - well before surgery. about every 3-4 years, I get a phantom attack - feels exactly the same as passing a gall stone - the pain is enormous :/ I'm curious if this is everyone, or just me.
  9. The pattern for mine with my TOM is this: 3-4 days before, I'm starving - all day. The day my TOM begins, it tightens down like a ratchet on overdrive. Stays that way nearly until the end of my TOM. (which is horrible for me, as my TOM is actually a T-O-Three Weeks (every 21 days)) It all evens out in the end, and I typically end up a few days after it's over having lost a couple pounds. Get a fill. My weightloss didn't fully kick in until I'd had my second one five months after surgery.
  10. This week: 210 (-2 in 2 weeks) It's taken me two months to lose 10 pounds, but I'm still plugging away :Banane27:
  11. This stuff is so interesting. Fish is one of the few things I can eat without any worries of problems. Chicken on the other hand - forget it - I won't even try it again.
  12. I haven't updated this in....well, you'll see Old Jill S - H 320/ S 289/ J 246.6/ G 155/ C 234.8 (-85.2 lbs total) New Jill S - H 320/ S 292/ J 246.6/ G 170/ C 212 (-108 lbs total)
  13. My reflux was a temporary thing; only lasted 2 nights, and hasn't reappeared since.
  14. Or you could just be like me -- Chicken is evil and must be destroyed or at least not eaten. I haven't been able to eat chicken since my second fill, no matter how it was cooked. I just can't do it.
  15. End results for me: 2 nights of the acid reflux, coughing - then it stopped. Was still very tight, pretty much only tolerating liquids until noon yesterday - when my period finally started Now, I'm still tight from the fill, but no longer uncomfortable and sleeping like a baby~ Patience is the key. Patience, and babying the band!
  16. *waves* Hi, y'all. Long time no see Let me share my current experience with this. On Tuesday, I got a fill - from 1.75 to 2.5. I felt immediate restriction - all good - happy happy. Tuesday night I had Soup for dinner, slept like a baby. Wednesday, I had my Protein bar for Breakfast (not my brightest moment), yogurt for lunch and instant potatoes for dinner. I was still a little hungry after dinner, so I had a graham cracker, and my Water. I was up off and on Wednesday night with horrible reflux. Thursday, I had a Protein shake for breakfast, yogurt for lunch and really really runny instant potatoes for dinner. Had my water. Had a snackwell's chocolate cookie (ugh). Up most of the night with reflux. Still have it this morning. Now, I came to the board to read a bit because I'm thinking - this is too tight, not good. Then I realized...my period is due tomorrow. And when I have good restriction, I am always tighter a few days before and a few days into my cycle. And it's not just my stomach, I can feel it all over in my midsection, which says to me - you're bloated, Jill, get over it~ So I'm not panicing (thank you), but I am back on straight liquids, and I'll go get some Prilosec before I go home tonight. If this hasn't cleared up by mid week, I'll go get a partial unfill. Til then, I'm babying the band.
