I been back & fourth... I have one life to live & before I'm 40 and got knows how I will look & recovery time after surgery I must tell you all that I have to be selfish & think of my self & only my self, but with out neglecting my kids, but you get the point. It's official that I will get plastic surgery next year in August. This is a everything done at once process. Boobs, butt, thigh, arms, tummy. In the same year hair extensions, permanent make up lip liner, and most likely upper eye liner. Following a spider vein removable or two I'm not sure how many I have. I'm having a facial done. I want to get rid of this acne even if I have to get special treat…

...starting with 80% of our stomachs. But it doesn't stop there, does it? We give up solid foods for a while. We give up things we used to love, like coffee, cigarettes, alcohol--either completely, or at least temporarily. Here's a list I found online called "Fifteen things You Should Give Up to be Happy". Not give up to be skinny, just to be happy. (The sleeve will take care of the scale, but the headspace work is up to us, after all!) And being happier is probably something we're all in favor of, pre-op or post-op, right? I know there are many things on this list that I could definitely identify with. So, I thought I'd share. Enjoy! Credit: World Observer …

I think I have a hernia. About a week ago I noticed a tenderness along the right side of my navel, it feels like I have an internal bruise-ball there. I haven't been doing anything strenuous or lifting incorrectly or anything. I can't afford this!

Hey all the cool kids, B) What' up and what's going on this Father's day weekend? What are we making dad grill? In celebration of Father's day, I am having the hubster old grill up some bacon wrapped Omaha filet mignons. With some steamed broccoli. I will eat about an oz and a half of it and be a happy camper. Going to open a good bottle of Cab and spend the afternoon floating in the pool! :) Oh, and thanks for all the smiles and laughs this week, it's been a fun one on the VST!!

I should had went earlier but I was wasting time, but parking was a bitch. Oh well I got my nails done, and I wanted to do my toes, but guess what? It was almost 3pm and kids start coming from the bus at 3:15pm and even if I wanted to do my toes. I didn't realized I only had $7 left lmbo... I'm going to have to wait till Thursday that's when I get money to then go Friday, and get my toes done. I'm not driving to the nail salon to get my toes done. Waste gas and quarters on the meter. Now for nails I drive it's $15.00 with design, and all. Around my block it's $25.00 with design, and oh yeah I must have a design. So that's $10.00 I can pocket.

I’ve been “lurking” here on VST for about 10 months (I’m 9 months post-op). I’m pretty good at using the ‘search’ option and ‘Google’ so I didn’t see the need to actually join the site…until now. I have learned so much from so many of you and appreciate all the knowledge and opinions that are shared on this site…and let’s not forget the endless entertainment provided by a special few (you know who you are)…seriously, thank you! Here’s my issue… I’ve been working out with a personal trainer since I was 6 weeks post-op. I met my trainer through my NUT so he is aware of my WLS and has helped me modify my diet as our work outs progressed. I work out with my PT 4 days a w…

Hey everyone- just for fun (and to post about something different once in a while) I started a Pet Owner's group. I love seeing people's pet photos so thought it would be fun to have a group to share pet photos, stories, etc. Come and join the group if you are interested I think the easiest way is to click on the group title under my name and photo. look forward to seeing you there!

Stolen from MFP, but it makes a ton of sense and something to keep in mind when going grocery shopping or eating in general. ============================================================================================================================ Oh, how happy all of us "dieters" were the day Skinny Cow candy bars became available! We can have chocolate! Peanut butter! Caramel! Gooey caramel and chocolate in one little bag! And not feel guilty! Yum! I have realized I cannot have them in my house. Why? They're a sensible treat, at only 110 calories (give or take depending the delicious flavor you finally decide upon). It is the completely sabotaging comfort of "SKINNY…

I wasn't sure if this should go in the Ladies Gone Wild section, but then I really wanted input from men as well, so I figured I would put it here. I have often wondered if many of us put on weight as a defense mechanism, I think it has been proven time and again -especially with females- that massive weight gain happens after a sexual assault or abuse or something. I'm not saying this means every last fat person was abused, so please, those of you chomping at the bit for someone to flame - no. What I'm trying to say is ... I was invisible for a very long time. During the years when I should have been learning how to interact with men, get my heart broken, get tough…

Hi everyone Didn't know where or if I should introduce myself, so I thought I might as well do it in the lounge. My name is Sigurveig (Veiga), I have decided to do the rny gastric bypass and I have a doctors appointment next monday to applicate for that. I live in Iceland (the country not the shop) hehe and here the goverment pays for the surgery, so financing is no issue for me. I am 33yrs old mother of two children, my spouse and kids are all skinny with out effort. So I stick out like a sore thumb in family photos, and just in general when with them out'n'bout. I am 5ft 1in and 270pounds with a bmi of 51. I don't have any obesity problems like sleep apnea or high …

After going back & fourth with should I or shouldn't I apply for SSI. I decided to apply today. I have back issues, and it was due to an injury I got during the time I was working. As time progresses now I'm noticing I'm getting worst, and not better, and I honestly thought with the weight lost wala my pain, and back issues will go away or at least it will get better. I seem to be in more pain then ever. For those that know about SSI I know if you work for more then 10 years you get SSD but what if you work 10 years, but not in the same job does that count for SSD. Do you get the same amount of money getting SSD as a person that work vs SSI which is most likely for peopl…

Today in an half hour to be exact I will be going to pick up a good friend to take her out for lunch. She is someone I've known for 18 years. She is very morbidly obese. I've always looked up to her because she never let it stop her from doing the things I wish I could of done when I was fat, like swimming in public even when people laugh and point. I have lost weight many times in the eighteen years and it always made things weird between us because she felt if I hated my big weight what must I think of her? I always love her I have told her many times I just don't feel comfortable in MY skin. This last time well I got sleeved.. She did not understand why I would do …

Please everyone pray for these families who have lost their children. 24 third grade children have gone to be with the Lord today. They drowned in the basement at the elementary shool while seeking shelter from the F-5 tornado. Oklahoma needs all the prayers they can get. My ex sister in law and my neice and her daughter live there in Morre, Ok, thank God they are ok. Lost everything but they are alive. So please if you can find a minute or two pray for the people of Oklahoma.

I probably spend more time on here than I should, but as I read some of these posts, there are certain words that just simply shouldn't be used...Try working some of these into a normal conversation and see if you don't get a giggle. broth - ever use that word in a conversation? I laugh every time I read "I had some warm broth." I cook for a living, and not once have I ever made broth. Soup, yep, stock yep, broth...uh..no.. Bougie - Didn't even know what this meant, and still don't. (Don't wanna know either) Word shouldn't be used in mixed company. When people start comparing their bougies, I think those posts should be restricted to the men's room forum. Surge…

Today I answered the siren call of the carbs, and I'm so ashamed - started the day off with a half serving of frosted mini-wheats. Lunch saw me eat a bite EACH of: pizza, pasta shells, yakisoba noodles, roasted potatoes, AND a gyro with yogurt sauce. And, I just had a pop-tart. I .... don't know what got into me. I'm on my way to the gym now to run like mad and lift punishing weights and dinner will be plain tuna.

So, I bought a bunch of Protein shake samples and have been having one a day for Breakfast to see which ones I like. I usually offer/make my dad and hubby taste them just a single sip if they're around. Today, I was offering a sip of the Cherry Synthrax nectar shake to the hubby and he told me it was nice and then he dropped the following bomb: Yeah, I can drink those if you get them for our 2 week liquid pre-op diet. WHAT? "Our" ????? Then he goes on to elaborate that he plans on doing the liquid pre-op diet with me as he figures he helped me get so fat along the way he can help me get skinny too. Too cute! Anyways, I guess I'll have to ask my NUT about h…
