I have had hard calloused feet as long as I can remember. I have tried so many different moisturizers. . If I use pumice or a file, it gets smoothe but comes back within a few days. Also if I get rid of the callouses, my feet get more sore from walking. So I am thinking the callouses are actually a defense against the weight. Have your feet gotten softer as you have dropped weight? I also get blisters from almost any dressy shoes, on the sides of my heels because my ankles are so fat.

So I started out as a 44DDD before I got my surgery. I'm now 65 lbs down and I'm a 40DDD. My boobs aren't shrinking with the rest of me! And now I'm starting to have back and shoulder pain. It's constant and it's getting annoying. Has anyone had a reduction? I want to talk to my doctor about getting it done after I reach my goal weight. I know I can't continue like this.

you know the saying. "fool me once, shame on you. fool me twice, shame on me" this is a "poor me " rant at 4 months post op. And yes, i am in therapy for these issues. I just need some empathy from others who are facing the same challenges to their self-esteem Shame on me for marrying a man who didnt love me just as I was- 100 lbs overweight. Shame on me for thinking the sleeve would miraculously improve my marriage. Shame on me for thinking that losing 50 lbs would make a difference in those feelings of what I can only describe as distain. Shame on me for getting all dressed up and then getting disappointed when I get nothing but negativity in return. Shame…

O.K I think I'm so nervous that I am starting to substitute sex for food! I just attempted to molest my hubby again and this just started! I really don't think about food anymore just sex, sex, sex...it actually calms me down when I get antsy. Am I the only one who has experienced this?

I know this may be tmi but I was sleeved 1/23/13 I've lost 89 pounds but 2 days after I was sleeved my peroid started and I had my peroid all the way till april 12th that was the longest 3 1/2 months of my life. My ob said it was from my hormones and the weightloss. I was even on the depo shot to try and stop it. They finally did a d&c to make it stop. But from what I hear this is normal. That was the worst part of this whole adventure. But I don't regret it. Has anyone else had this problem?

Need to vent and this is not rny related but my best friend and I broke up today. We've known each other for over 20 years. Our kids are best friends and on the same football team. her family is like my own. We go to the pool and church together. I just can't imagine my life without her and know that we are going to run into each other all the time. This is not something that will change, it's permanent.

I had my 4 month follow up with the endocrinologist that works with my surgeon. She was angry that I had only lost 25 pounds since my December surgery. She even went so far as to ask me how much weight I had gained! She had never heard of anyone losing so slowly. Then she asked me how much exercise I am getting every day. When I said very little, she went into a lecture about how many people would have done anything to get the surgery and that maybe it was a wrong decision to authorize the surgery for me at this time. She reminded me that I have to put some effort into losing weight and not to let the surgery do it all for me. When I reminded her that I have a back injury…

Hey Ladies, Yesterday was my 6 months anniversary, I have lost about 80 pounds and have bout 30 more to go. My husband is in the Army and left on a year long tour to Korea when I was about 10 weeks out from surgery. He comes home in middle June for a few weeks vacation, and I am so nervous about it. I have lost a lot of weight since he left, about 50 pounds, however I'm not so nervous about that, it's all my extr skin. In clothes I can hide all this extra flappy skin I have everywhere, I feel good and confident in my clothes, however in the bedroom, undressed there is no hiding it and I am so uncomfortable and nervous by it. I should say that I have an amazing husband …

My boyfriend has been my best friend since early high school (together for 2 years, living together) and we're in our early 20s. Our sex life is good. I'm curious as to how our relationship will change, if at all. He's seen me go from very overweight to morbidly obese. I was overweight long before we met. I know he's not a chubby chaser (his ex was petite) but I'm wondering how dramatic weight loss will change our relationship or attraction. Does it? Sent from my DROID RAZR using VST

I am closing in on 6 weeks postop. I'm on solids. I've learned the hard way about eating too fast and not chewing well. I slimed and puked yesterday. Big time. It sucked. I don't plan on making the mistake again but I know I am a work in progress. It's hard to change a life time of bad behaviors. Here is my question. I track on MFP. If the unfortunate experience of eating and up-chucking happens again, do I track it? All of it? Some of it? None of it?

Hi all, So to make a long story short, I had the implant, Implanon, placed about three years ago, which is the life span for it. I was really happy with it for a while and then last year, I started noticing more and more side affects. And now since my surgery, which has been about 2 months ago, I have been on and off my period every other week. No seriously, on a week then off a week for two months. I'm not sure if it's from the surgery or if it's because my implant is due to be taken out. Anyway, i'm going to make an appointment with my GYN and I was wondering what kind of birth control I should be looking into. I was on the Depo for a long time, about 4 years, but th…

Having periods again! Ugh! I have PCOS and also an IUD, so I've never been regular and I haven't had a period in years. I've probably had less than 50 periods in my life, and that's a very generous estimate. And I tell you what: it. is. GLORIOUS. But if I have this surgery, I might start having ye olde monthly blood rage regularly for the first time ever. ;_;

I am almost a year out from surgery. Down 150 pounds and feel great. I divorced my ex husband 2 months after surgery. I found an amazing new man several months later and we just got married last weekend. I am thankful everyday that I chose to have this surgery. I would have never had the confidence in myself to stand up for me. I have an amazing life now without the negativity and abuse from my ex. My new husband is amazing. Thanks to this surgery, my life has changed so much in a good way.

I'm venting here :-D this is what a co worker told me the other day... Now my scale has been broken but I was just at my moms and after a long stall I had dropped 5lbs in a week. And I know it's correct cus I would weight myself home and her house and the doc and its always been the same. Now this is the only person that ever said a negative thing about me having RNY and since I have her weight has ballooned big time.... But this statement has just stuck with me :-/ I finally ended up asking a friend yesterday... Who I trust would tell me the truth... If I looked like I've gotten bigger. She looked at me like I was crazy :-) I just don't understand people. I've been open …

I guess this comes under the heading of a NSV! I took a bath this morning for the first time in years. Not only did I get into the tub, more importantly, I got OUT of the tub by turning over onto my hands and knees to get up! I was amazed that I could maneuver my body around like that! Also, my pants are way toooo big! Sent from my iPhone using VST

I will speak to my doctor as well, but I am wondering what other ladies are taking in regards to birth control? I need to try and stay away from any that have estrogen hormones (because of my PCOS and increased risk for blood clots) and I'm not sure what my options are. I would prefer a pill, but would consider other options if they would be better. Thanks in advance!

So my birthday was a few days after my surgery so I never got to really celebrate or anything, so I decided to treat myself to a gift. I didn't want to buy clothes just because I know I won't be able to wear it long, so I decided on an awesome pair of shoes. Here they are. I love them.

I was sleeved on 10/25/12 and I've lost over 100lbs at this juncture. Prior to surgery I lost 100lbs on my own. Losing this much weight has left me with plenty of excess skin and it's making dressing and exercising EXTREMELY challenging! Can you kind ladies recommend some QUALITY Shapwear? I'm looking for something that will cover my upper arms as well as my upper and lower abdominal area, as those are my biggest problem areas right now. I wasn't sure where to post this, so I hope it works here. Thanks in advance!

So, I have been banded since the end of May 2011. I did well at first, I have lost about 45 pounds, but I need to lose another 40 and I haven't lost any weight in a year. My band seems to still be tight enough that I get food stuck on a regular basis if I am not really careful, but I am not losing weight and battling to keep it off. I sort of feel scammed a little but then I also have not followed up with my doctor for a while. Getting food stuck occasionally would be fine, if I was still losing weight..but I am not. Has anyone else been through this? What did you do to kick start everything again? I don't want to give up and just say it wasn't as successful for me as it …

So when I was at my heaviest, I had a really bad experience at a salon. Although the hairdresser didn't say anything to me, I am pretty sure I broke the hydraulic pump. When she was foot pumping me up, there was a pop and the chair went back down - then she just cut my hair in the low position. A lady next to me stared at me in disgust for the entire visit, which I tried to ignore. Anyway, I'm sure I exceeded the weight limit at well over 330, though I never weighed myself then so I'm guessing. Now I'm in the 270s and I haven't dared venture to a salon since that experience a few years ago, but now I have a Groupon for a really nice place and I'm ready for a big change.…

I am 3 1/2 months out and have really noticed a change in my monthly cycles. I am 45 years and and done having babies. I even thought I may be menopausal. Then I lost 44 lbs and Aunt Flo has come right on time for the past 2 months. The reason I am sharing this is to encourage those of you who may have been wondering if their fertility will return with some weight loss. I really think so. Good luck

If you are a bibliophile like me, you will love "Skinny" by Donna Cooner. It is about a 300+ pound 15 year-old girl who decides to have gastric bypass surgery. It is amazing how much I related to this character. The journey she goes through is inspirational. I recommend it to everyone who has dealt with weight issues. Disclaimer: I don't work for the author or publisher and I am not being compensated for what is wholly my opinion.

Sorry if its tmi, but I thought I'd ask some advice on my problem. Last summer I had nova sure done and it stopped my intense, heavy and never ending period(s). Last month I began bleeding after sex. I went to the gyn who checked me out, took swabs and sent me for an ultrasound. Gyn came back and told me I have adenomyosis and that my uterine lining is growing back rapidly, it grows through the muscle. So she suggested a hysterectomy. I have birthed 7 kids and no longer need it so no problem there. BUT after going through nearly 3 weeks of pain with my sleeve surgery, I am scared to death to have another abdominal surgery just to be in pain for another 2-3 weeks. has any…

I'm 35 and have been obese for the last 15 years. I remember always being aroused and ready for it in my teens (when I wasn't getting it). But the last 10 years my interest is gone. I don't know if my weight is to blame or my body image or the PCOS. I had a hysterectomy in 2011 due to uterine cancer. But this problem started way before that. I'm on estrogen and not having any symptoms that its too low or high a dose. I just never think about it, never get aroused. I can be convinced, but not as often as he would like. And orgasm is fine (and fun) when we have sex. It is just never what is on my mind. Id rather read or sleep! I think he feels like he has been really pat…

So I went to my doctors yesterday and got on the subject of birth control. I originally started taking birth control because I have PCOS and thought it would control my symptoms and horrible headaches. Turns out it hasnt fixed my headaches and according to my doctor birth control is probably what is making my headaches WORSE. (JOY)..Im debating on after getting my surgery if I should go off of my birth control ( Ive been on it for over 2 years) Maybe it'll be good for my body? Im just worried about possibly gaining weight from the pill after being off of it for 2 months and getting back on ,. Also I never had a regular period until I went on BC cause Im over weight, b…

Lately my husband been drinking heavily. It's no longer a weekend thing it's more like almost daily. We live in a 2 floor apartment(I call it house) top apt bottom basement. He either drinks solo with his brother or his adult son. Now that I cover that area the issues I'm having... He comes at anytime after drinking 1am-3am from the basement drunk fighting arguing with me & throwing things. He talks about me not feeding my kids. I feed them every single day. He mentions how I don't clean the house. Ok I'm not the best housewife & he has been a witness to the kids making a mess after I been cleaning all day. I try the best I can to keep it nice. He has a new…

I'm nervous and hoping someone had this experience....today I had my preop stuff done at the hospital to include blood work, EKG, etc. All results are good. as I left I was provided with preop instructions very similar to what my dr had provided in my last office visit last week except it also stated to stop birth control 2 weeks prior to surgery. My dr never mentioned that but is aware I take them. I was not taking the pill at all last week because it was my time of the month, but I did take them the first four days of this week. I'll stop today but my surgery is this Tuesday...in 5 days. I'll call my dr in the morning to get his thoughts but can't get it off my mind and…

... except when it's not! Okay, this is a pre-sleeve NSV for me. We went to the movie theater tonight. I actually managed to walk right past the concessions stand without stopping for either a popcorn (large, extra butter, please!) or a beverage! This is difficult for me. Recently I've been compromising - small popcorn, and a large unsweetened iced tea (now that our theater actually has decent iced tea!). But I LURVE buttered popcorn. It's something that I really want to eat - it's part of the movie experience, and it is something I have a weakness for. Tonight, I wasn't hungry as we had just had dinner, nor was I thirsty. I also knew I couldn't come back out l…
