My friend from an earlier predicament (WTF, am I wrong? thread) just called to see if I was still mad about the incident. I told her Yes!!! And proceeded to tell her some of the things I was told by other sleevers in my own words. She told me that I say that because I'm married and have someone to warm my bed at night. She said shes over fourty and doesn't have that luxury to be so picky! I said very bluntly well no D*ck is worth my self respect and I'm married because my husband knows my worth! (Just like I know his) I also told her she needs to work on her before she worries about who's going to warm her dam bed at night. She hung up on me. I dont get it shes mad at…

Hi everybody, I am about 4 months out and almost 50 lbs down. I adore my husband and enjoy the sex when it does happen, it's just getting there. Please tell me I'm not alone. I don't know what to do or even if I'm doing something wrong. I've been reading that a lot of women's drives are booming... The thing is that usually they also say it was slow PRE surgery. Mine was pretty average before and now it's gone... My guess is that my hormones are off. I will be making a gyno appt. But I'm hoping some veterans can give me some insight on what they have gone through...

Went for my annual mammogram today. Everything was great. When I was around 39-40 I did have a benign tumor removed, so I go every year. Do you? It was my first one since having the band so of course you tell the technician. She told me her sister had the by pass a few years back, never told anyone. The sister didn't know what to do and how to handle herself. Unfortunately she is larger than before her by pass. That is very sad. This site is the best helper for me. If you use your help, hopefully you will succeed. Have a great WLS day.

I am just wondering how bad everyone gets bloating around TOM and how do you deal with it. I never noticed it before I lost weight...I never weighed myself and a few pounds here and there probably wouldn't have made a difference. But not that I am at goal, the bloat and water retention is brutal! In the last 2 days my weight has went up 6 lbs, and that is not a typo! It is not even humanly possible to gain that much weight in 2 days, and my belly is swollen, even my feet and ankles. It is really depressing, even though I know what it is and I try to remember that it will go away in a few days. Does anyone else have such bad bloating? Have you found a good way to de…

Hi ladies! I'm 22 and 2 months post op (down 40 pounds). I know avoiding alcohol is important, but I'm getting invites to go out for a drink after work with my friends and I was wondering what I should order at the bar. I only will get one drink and just have it to hold on to and not stick out like a sore thumb. My personal preferences are white wine and fruity cocktails but I know they are full of calories and sugar. Any suggestions on what to get? Thanks y'all!

Those of you down to your goal, did your shoe size shrink? If so by how many sizes? I wear a size 11 and can't wait! I never can find cute shoes and the few stores that carry my size carry wide only and I dont have wide feet or ankles. Hoping they will shrink but also dont get the science of it, I dont feel much fat on my foot so how does it shrink?

Okay, so I'm 7 weeks out, and this is super TMI. About three weeks ago, I started my period; it lasted about three days, which was normal for me. About two days after it was over, it started again, heavier. It lasted about three days, again. Two days after that, it started again, and I'm shocked that I have this much blood in my body. Anyone else going through this?

Ok here it goes. I'm obsessed with smell. And I've noticed that since I was in pre op. My lady parts smell to me nasty. And after surgery even worse. I feel like I smell like hospital and hospital meds lol. Nasty nasty. I shower every chance I get. But nothing works. I have every product known to women. My hubby says its all in my head. But what can he say he just cannt keep his hands off.

Now that I am 8 months out and have lost a significant amount of weight I have a new problem. Flippity floppity girl parts. My boobs actually make a flapping sound if I run or jump with out a bra on. I can literally fold them in half! And the hooha has been known to make the flapping sound a few times as well. Everything is so sagging. It'd be sad if it wasn't so funny. anybody else?

Figured the title would draw attention and confuse, haha. Here goes though. I always wear one of those Kimora shapers or spanx and a pair of tummy flattening underwear wherever i go because of all the loose skin. Still have 50 pds to go before the surgeon who did my sleeve will consider removing loose skin. Getting to the point, when my fiance and I get into it at his place I always leave my top and spanx on just in case someone comes in. He is always trying to get to me underneath them. Any suggestions about other garments that I could wear or any kind of suggestions.

Is anyone else or has anyone else experienced this? My entire body is itching like its on fire!! I'm not dehydrated and my husband and I are constantly putting lotion on me. Even calamine lotion in the really itchy places (behind my knees). I don't know what else to do. It's like I'm being attacked by mobs of fleas. No rashes or anything. I figure it was because of losing the weight and skin changes. Anyone have any ideas? I'm desperate!! Thanks, Mandy

Ok so I had to share this with some people who would understand. I haven't had sex in a VERY long time partly because I was just too shy because of how big I was. I had very low self esteem made worse by one a*****e who did a real number on me, told me I was lucky that someone would ever want me sexually and other terrible things... So I was sleeved in November and I have been going out meeting guys. I am now down 102 lbs and I have been noticing guys checking me out which is freakin awesome and I am no longer shy...well I have been seeing this one guy casually, nothing too serious and long story short last night we had sex. First time I didn't feel the need to cover up…

This isn't necessarily a sleever's issue of course, but this is my only online community where I can vent so, here goes ... I am deployed, the male to female ratio is 10-1 and a lot of these guys are young and hard, if they aren't working they are working out. I watch them do pull ups in the weight hangar and my mouth waters. It has now been ... 5 week since I've had any intimacy and I really. really. REALLY. want. IT. They all stare at me, stare holes through me, undress me with their eyes - and take their time about it, but none of them approach me or take the initiative. All those tanned muscles ... twitching biceps and corded forearms that could just lift me…

Sitting in the bathroom crying. I'm not a crying person. Emotional + caring yeah but crying me wow!!! I'm actually hurting. I didn't realized I had feelings. For the 1st time in my life I'm not getting my way. I was a teenager when I got married. I learn everything from working to cooking to cleaning. I thought I was the perfect wife. Omg! I wasted my life. Have 3 kids. Always depended on him to take care of me. Yeah I went to school & had a great job. He promise to take care of me forever. I believe it. I was a teenager. I went into the 20's now I'm in the 30's... I could have done better with my life. The only thing I love are my kids. I have to be the world most…

I only post my feelings & issues here & on Don group on Facebook but I'm detail here not there. I don't have a best friend well I do but we haven't had marriage conversation she is a busy woman & I don't want her concern to the point to say leave him & come here with all the kids! That's how she is. Well hubby was telling me. I feel you are planning on leaving me. I love you & I know I get mad at you a lot but I love you. I don't want a surprise you should be honest enough to tell me if your planning on leaving me. I told him I'm not leaving him since its in my plans but nothing is official. I don’t know if this is the right forum to ask for advice on this and could possibly be TMI, but I could use help on this issue! I went to my OB/GYN doctor back in December, she wanted to take me off the “pill” because I take blood pressure medication-which I have been on since before I was on the pill and my blood pressure has been fine. Well she talked to me about Mirena and whatnot and said to track my cycle for 3 months and then come back and we would talk about what to do next. Now I loved this doctor-well in the meantime she has stopped practicing. She is older and the hospital she had office hours in was not accommodating. They are going to give me to someone …

I just wanted to share my nsvs with everyone, first, drop in blood pressure from 140 range to 105 range, yay! Second, I went bra shopping and have lost 4 inches in band size. The crazy part is, even with almost 30 lbs lost, I've actually gone UP in cup size! From a 42H to a 38I. My husband is incredibly happy, he even did a little dance ( can you tell he is a boob man?) but I am kind of bummed, I was hoping I would lose some of the ladies! No cute bras for me, only thumb thick underwires lol.

One of the joys for me in achieving fitness (ie firming the flesh) and achieving an average size (10/12) was buying pretty panties and bras AND not breaking the bank to do so. Genetics gave me a huge rack, obesity made it even more astronomical and although beautiful lingerie does exist in plus sizes (I was a 44H/ 24panty at my largest), you will pay megabux for them. But just being able to go to Target and riffle amongst the pretty cottons and laces in the 3 for $10 bin is so much fun! And getting to wear different cuts, low rise boy cut, lacy thongs, flutter tap pants ... and being able to actually wear a pretty bra that didn't cost over $100, AND being able to just …

Sooo...as my screen name implies, I work in the museum business. I often do period interpretation in the fall/winter. I am wondering if having a sleeve will prohibit me wearing a corset under my dresses. I dont know any sleeved history interpreters to ask. Do any of you have trouble wearing corsets? I wear mine ad tight as what I can stand for the evening so that the clothing falls properly. Anyone?

I was in a pretty bad car accident memorial night. I have a huge ugly painful bruise across my pelvis area from the seatbelt... I was suppose to start my period around that time...I still haven't started. My question is; do you think the accident could have thrown off my cycle? ? I took a pregnancy test and its negative...obviously I'm going to the doctor about this, just figured I'd ask on here too. Thanks ladies!

Hello my curvaceous ladies! So I have a question and would like to get some feed back! Currently, Im pre op VSG and Im hoping on having it in june/july. I am taking the pill and I have to be off of it a month prior to surgery and a month after surgery so I dont form a blood clot because of surgery. With out the pill I may not even have a period or Ill have 2 in the month, HORRIBLE migranes etc, Its bad! I've been betrayed! Today is Ice Cream Wednesday at work. A tradition I started a couple of years ago. I've abstained for quite awhile but today I decided to partake. I wanted a chocolate malted milkshake. My favorite. Aunt Flo in da house! And our local ice cream parlor has the best. Three sips. Tasted like heaven but good ole Sleeve Perry did not approve. I now feel like I have a brick in my belly and am fighting the urge to gag. ...then fall, Amanda...

Haven't had my period in over 2 years because I was on depo and now on mirena...I get light spotting on mirena but not a full blown period...I'm 6 days post op..does anyone know if this will be a regular thing or not? I chose depo to not get periods and switched because I was told you shouldnt be on it long because of it taking away calcium...my nurse told me if I didn't get it with depo I wouldn't (except spotting) get it with mirena. Is it because I'm losing weight? If its a 1 time occurance that's fine

Is this possible? I had my Mirena inserted on April 2, I had my surgery on January 28. In the month and a half since I had the Mirena inserted, I have not lost an ounce. However, I haven't gained weight either. I thought it a little odd that I have been at a plateau for 6 weeks, but, maybe the Mirena is to blame? Has anyone had this experience?

I was so please to see this women's section as didn't want to freak out the men or women not wanting to help with this question. I'm 5 days out of surgery today and at home once again, yay. However on day 3 I had some bleeding and nurse found unusual and asked about my period. As I explained to her I have the rod in my arm and have not had a period for about 18mths. Day 4 only one occurrence of spotting, mentioned to nurse again and the tested urine with not much found. Now day 5 I have normal (light for most) period (I'm guessing). Anybody else had something like this were they didn't get periods and did soon after surgery? How do I know if I should be concerned? Than…

Hi all! Sorry if I am posting this in the wrong section but I wasn't quite sure where else this question would fit. I am nine weeks post op sleeve and feeling great. There is one exception, I have started to have diarrhea after drinking certain protein shakes and after eating sugar free pudding. It happens about 20-30 minutes after I have started drinking the shakes and it only happens once and then it's done. I start to get these really loud gurgles and then I know what's about to happen. Is this a form of dumping? Is it because of some ingredient in the shakes and pudding? I did discuss it with my surgeon and he was not concerned because it doesn't happen all the time…
