  12. At 11 months out and down to a size 8/10 I still feel like at least an 18/20. Hopefully after reaching goal and staying there for awhile it will catch up. It's very common and I think different for everyone. I can tell you that exercise does help make you more conscious of your new size
  13. By a week the post op gas will be gone. But I'm 11 months out and still get gurgling constantly and gas almost daily. Gas x helps a lot!

  15. I just got a generic bullet and a small food scale. Decent measuring cups are another plus. Don't spend too much bc you won't use it for long! Sent from my iPad using RNYTalk
  16. The further out you go, the more you can tolerate. I am 8 months and can tolerate almost anything besides bread and rice. Sent from my iPad using RNYTalk
  17. Absolutely! It does get better with time but will always be a huge part of your life! Sent from my iPad using RNYTalk

  26. At 8 months (surgery was july10) I have lost 136 lbs and have reached my goal of not being overweight! I think I'm going to go for 15 more lbs but can't explain the satisfaction! During the pre phase the psych told me that to expect to lose 100 lbs in the first year was unreasonable. I would love to go tell him my numbers!!! It's a great feeling to not stand out unless you want to and know that when people look at you they see you, not your plus size!!! I will never regret this decision

  30. I've just said that I had weight loss surgery and started exercising. Some ask more questions. Some don't. But no one has ever been negative or judgmental. Sent from my iPad using RNYTalk
  31. Honestly at 8 months out I still get terrible cravings but now for red meat or veggies and fruit. No more sugar and bread cravings! But trust me I started in July at 286 and am 154 today for 132 lbs lost. The cravings are tough. Stick it out and you will get great results!
  32. I am a vet. I remember basic well. She will end up looking back on this as a great experience and appreciate your support. Hang in there and remember she doesn't want you to cheat your diet!
  33. It's head hunger. It feels just like the real thing. It's hard but try to relax. It will get better just don't cheat!
