  3. losing fat causes a release of estrogen so this is likely to cause acne. with my skin which is sensitive, just using a gentle soap once a day or twice if needed and not wearing makeup to cover it up seems to be the best thing. once i start loading the skin up on drying products it gets worse. also just watch your diet which could cause it and drink an extra few servings of Water which should really help as well. if it continues and appears to be cystic acne, contact your doctor and they may be able to prescribe something for it.
  4. Let us know how everything went! Prayers and fingers crossed that you will be feeling much better soon!
  5. They think I have an ulcer so am having an EGD. I'll let ya know if it is that. Hope you are feeling better.
  6. I never announced it on facebook or posted about it but my friends and family and many coworkers know. Just a funny little warning (well maybe not that funny) but a friend at work didn't tell anyone but me and everyone thought he was anorexic or bullemic because of all the time in the bathroom when food gets stuck/dumping and rapid weight loss!
  7. I tried a bite of a chilli dog no roll and it was great! Also did half of a flat diet Pepsi and two French fries with lots of vinegar - the best! I stayed away from sweets and veggies bc I just can't handle them yet. But that's awesome for those that got a chance to try some of their old favorites. I bet it felt nice to feel more normal. There was one party though that didn't have a single thing I could try and it wasn't too bad but did bother me a little. Mmmm I could kill for some of my georgia family's Sunday dinner right now. I would totally try a bite of smoke ribs, fried chicken, greens and cornbread stuffing this very second if it were in front of me!
  8. Welcome! Everyone here is so nice and there are people from phase (just thinking to several years out!). Try not to beat yourself up too much over the diet. It is very important but don't defeat yourself if you slip a little. Just get on track ASAP! This preop phase seems like its long but it goes so quick. And the best thing about the app? It's always 'open'!
  9. You can try to chew carefully but if something gets stuck you will be sorry. Tuna, egg, chicken and seafood salads are easy to purée and taste the same. They helped me alot. Also pureed crab cakes minus breadcrumbs before they were baked. Did my purees more like a paste than liquid.
  10. I added baby beef to tomatoe soup. It was ok. Really was craving fruit so I did apples and cherries and it was good!
  11. Ahhh they were always reliable when I needed a cute outfit for any occasion. At least soon we can go to many more stores!
  12. A liter of water weighs 2.2 lbs so you are just retaining water most likely. I wouldn't weigh yourself until after your period and just watch your sodium and eat what you normally are allowed right now.
  13. My friends were playing beer pong yesterday and I couldn't play! And I still haven't found any thing to help with my constant thirst. Nothing is refreshing!
  14. Completely right there with ya. Especially this weekend, there were all kinds of yummy meats, fruits, veggies, and sweets that were calling my name at cookouts and I couldn't have any...couldn't have a beer or cocktail, and none of the drinks were sugar free and non carbonated! Got stuck with tap Water And here I am watching food network and now craving Mexican food and fried southern food. Going to the grocery store sucks because it's so full of thinks that make me sick. I can't go out to lunch with my friends during our lunch break because they do Arby's or Subway and I just don't feel like paying $5 for a few bites of something. Today I was complaining of needing to throw up and my daughter said "mom you always say you need to throw up." Well I guess I feel like that most of the day every day. I know this is pessimistic. On the bright side I am saving a ton of money on fast food and am healthier (well maybe b/c I keep forgetting my vitamins). I don't think I will feel better about this until I'm not in plus size clothing and eating 2 bites of low carb per meal. I think it's time to hit up the support group.
  15. Ooh I live near Hershey so I'm gonna have to get tons of them. Love peppermint patties! Would be nice to keep at work too. There is always junk there!
