Problems?

As anyone out there experienced an ulcer in the area where the new stomach pouch is joined by the intestines? If so what where your symptoms? How did they treat it? How long before you felt better? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I had that and I would feel like I had to have a BM and once I did I would feel better. But after a while ot quit helping. I doubled over in so much pain i couldn't stand it. Went to emergency room and they hooked me up to an IV and gave gave me a dose of liquid pain meds. I have to say it felt so strange because the pain was trying to win the battle. I ended up having a sonogram which was inconclusive and then an MRI which was inconclusive also. They k ew something was wrong though cause I had another attack in the MRI machine. I exploratory surgery and that's when it was found. It was a hernia near the mesentary gland. I was in hospital on outpatient basis but off work a couple days with restrictions due to the job I had.

They think I have an ulcer so am having an EGD. I'll let ya know if it is that.

Hope you are feeling better.

Thats sounds just awful I jope u ladies get well soon.
