  2. With my new self and a new year I got the courage to try online dating. I am talking to two guys I really like. They both want to meet in person. Both suggested drinks or dinner. I want to be honest and not hide anything so should I just tell them that dinner probably isn't the best option (because I still can only eat like 1/3 to 1/2 cup) and drinks are basically out of the question! Is it really a big deal or am I making this a big deal? Should I just tell them before the date or not? Thanks

  4. I compiled a list of Protein shake hacks to doctor up Protein powder. Most are for vanilla since that is so versatile. Also are puree recipes and some high protein recipes for puree/soft/regular food phases. I've tried some of these before surgery and can tell you that the fake cheesecake, buffalo dip, and egg salad are wonderful! DLCoggin also has the file to complement his data base of restaurant foods and grocery store items. There has been lots of talk on the boards about puree lately so thought I would go ahead and share. Enjoy! https://docs.google.com/document/d/1B7jc1unYKXmxAUX7amV-ezfP8gu9ptcSH4tZkuD7LCI/edit

    Mentally smaller

At 11 months out and down to a size 8/10 I still feel like at least an 18/20. Hopefully after reaching goal and staying there for awhile it will catch up. It's very common and I think different for everyone. I can tell you that exercise does help make you more conscious of your new size

  9. 6 pounds to goal. 145 lost. Surgiversary in 40 days. I can do this!!!

  10. At 8 months (surgery was july10) I have lost 136 lbs and have reached my goal of not being overweight! I think I'm going to go for 15 more lbs but can't explain the satisfaction! During the pre phase the psych told me that to expect to lose 100 lbs in the first year was unreasonable. I would love to go tell him my numbers!!! It's a great feeling to not stand out unless you want to and know that when people look at you they see you, not your plus size!!! I will never regret this decision

    Lost My Best Friend

Need to vent and this is not rny related but my best friend and I broke up today. We've known each other for over 20 years. Our kids are best friends and on the same football team. her family is like my own. We go to the pool and church together. I just can't imagine my life without her and know that we are going to run into each other all the time. This is not something that will change, it's permanent.
  12. I just got a generic bullet and a small food scale. Decent measuring cups are another plus. Don't spend too much bc you won't use it for long! Sent from my iPad using RNYTalk

Am I ever going to eat again?

The further out you go, the more you can tolerate. I am 8 months and can tolerate almost anything besides bread and rice. Sent from my iPad using RNYTalk

Help with hunger 4 days post op!

Honestly at 8 months out I still get terrible cravings but now for red meat or veggies and fruit. No more sugar and bread cravings! But trust me I started in July at 286 and am 154 today for 132 lbs lost. The cravings are tough. Stick it out and you will get great results!

    drinking schedule

Never seen that but as long as you are getting your 64 oz it doesn't matter how. I tend to get more in the evening.
  22. The elliptical at my gym! Jamming to my favorite songs with no one bugging me and thinking how much more fun life (and certain grown up things) are when you are smaller and in good shape! That endorphin high is great!
