Shrimp
I tried shrimp, crab, fish, and scallops at the month mark. They are still my favorite form of Protein and they are easier on the pouch than anything else! Tilapia is so quick and easy to cook and soooo easy on the belly! Old bay makes steaming bags for fish and shrimp which make them nicely done without being over cooked.

Motivation
Idk if you have kids but we use exercise as a reward now. This weekend my son and I are going hiking a a reward for him getting amazing comments by his teacher and good grades! It helps to make me do it and its good quality time. Sometimes it's a pain to go out if the way but I really like going for a walk at a nearby lake with trails. It make it more enjoyable. Also I got Leslie sansones walking DVDs which are great. Got Jillian michaels power yoga but still to scares to try it.

Guess Who's Back!
Vamp looking good welcome back too!

Soda
I use my regular coffee mate liquid creamer. Hazelnut is my favorite. Just make sure to measure it! Even if it is only 5 grams of sugar it takes me an hour or so to drink it so its not all at once!

Soda
I am three months out and also choosing to avoid these things. Soda is not worth gaining weight or slowing down the loss. Alcohol is not worth a painful ulcer and the extra calories at this time. I did try a sip of flat diet soda a few weeks ago and just the itty bitty bubbles hurt my pouch! I do drink coffee daily and honestly I love it. A tablespoon of my creamer is only 3-5 g sugar so it is my Breakfast. It makes me have a better day and not feel deprived.

Not Trying To Be A Downer But?
I am only 3 months post op but have lost 76 pounds so far. The first two weeks were ok but tough. The first month was ok and be second month kinda sucked because I tried to backslide into old habits and couldn't get away with it. The third month is great. I am used to my new diet changes and have embraced them! My health was ok before and not on any meds but so sluggish. Now I have so much energy. We are on the go every evening after school and work and all weekend. And I still manage to keep the house clean sometimes I realize that I haven't watched tv and relaxed for a week or two and then I realize I'm not exhausted like used to get. All that extra time socializing and LIVING is so good for the soul! It's also nice that I get compliments every day at work!!! What's not nice is buying new scrubs every month!

- Lets Hear Some Bragging!
What a great feeling to say you are in a medium! Can't wait until i can say the same. And I love your new pic!- New Foods ?
I've had mashed, baked, and roasted potatoes and they went down easy. Just try a little at a time to avoid dumping and don't drink for 30 mins bc they will swell! Beans go down well too!- Hot Chocolate
- One Month Post Op Menus
Tilapia does go down so good! I'm 3 months out and have eaten more tilapia in the past three months than three years! String cheeses and poached eggs are easy too. Ground beef and chicken are hit or miss - sometimes they hurt the pouch. Protein bars are the same. Tuna was a standby but now I'm sick of it. Also, I made sure to have 8-12 oz skim milk daily. Due to the sugars in it I just drink 4 oz between meals.- Really Gross Problem..
It's very normal. It's liquid going in so it won't really firm up. I think it lasted about 2 weeks for me.- Relationship Issues
I agree with kiwi and don. He shouldn't be driving your car until he gets his situation taken care of. It's just not good sense. As far as the working/housework, I dealt with this before. It just made me resent him. Why can't he work part time in a field that would make him happy? And if not working, he should do a minimum of dishes, laundry, and some basic straightening up. But that's just me. If he didn't work or help but was amazing with the kids and me it would be easy to look the other way. But if he wasn't a good dad or husband too I'd be gone. It isn't always equal but marriage should be a joint effort.- My New Love!
Sounds yummy! A hot chai sounds great right now. I drink caffeine almost daily. Usually one to two servings max daily. It's ok but you should wait until you are able to be hydrated without difficulty. Also make sure you are able to drink extra to replace the extra fluids lost from the caffeine.- Lets Hear Some Bragging!
Lol not as sexy as you Mami but getting there! Must admit that my butt looks great again- Water
I have never heard that. But you should not have carbonated or sparkling water. Tap or spring water are fine too.- Friday Weigh-In!
Starting weight 286 Current weight 213 Surgery 7/11/12 Best decision I've ever made- Lets Hear Some Bragging!
3 months post op. Started at 286 now at 213. Have lost 73 pounds (soon wonderland!) From pants 26 to 18 (can def tell that having extra skin removed next year will take down a pants size or two already!) and 3-4x to a xl shirt. Even my shoe size went down a little and my rings all fit again. This has not been easy but so very worth it.- Giving Lb The Bad News...
I can't wait to get out of lb and into cheaper stores! It's not my business but a word of advice is to keep your account open with a $0 balance. It will be better for your credit score for many reasons. I can elaborate if you want.- Ready To Ditch The Chewables
Do you know if we can absorb the regular pills enough?- Numb/ Sore Thights Post Opp
I had numbess in my legs -primarily when sitting an especially when sitting on the toilet for weeks after my surgery. It went away in its own. I just figures it was sciatica from laying on the table and hospital bed. Hopefully same to you. I would give it a few days unless it is painful, swollen, tender, or you are afraid you will fall due to the numbness. Are you on blood thinners? Good luck.- Ready To Ditch The Chewables
At 3 months post op I am so sick of nasty chewable Vitamins. I did switch to gummy vitamins but I'm so ready to go back to regular vits and add my hair skin and nail back. Can these get stuck? Has anyone gone back to whole pills? When? And how did it go? Thanks- Greek Yogurt
I use plain Greek yogurt with either onion Soup, ranch mix, or spinach dip powder packs. Good for on almost anything! Mixes great with baked potatoes, pretzel chips, etc- Greek Yogurt
I use the Bariatric Advantage vanilla. nectar is good too depending on which flavor. Fuzzy navel is good! - Lets Hear Some Bragging!
