So im 2 years post op I had my surgery when I was 20! I lost 130 pounds and love it but the real issue lies in the boy problems I cant seem to find the confidence to put myself out there!! A year after my surgery I got in 2 horrible relationships were they cheated on me and in my head it automatically went too o it must be my weight! Any tips ladies? I am wondering how RNY has changed PCOS symptoms. I know fertility may increase, but what about everything else? Any stories would be helpful. Thanks!

Has anyone been on their cycle during surgery?

I am having my first date after surgery today! Although I am extremely excited, I am also petrified. My confidence has risen so much since losing 48lbs since my sugery in October, 95lbs all together. I don't know if its because I like this guy alot or what, but I'm soooo nervous. We are going to a Cajun restaurant and I went online and looked at the menu, think I'm gonna have the shrimp gumbo, lol. I'm still a plus size woman, so if I just get the gumbo, he's going to think I'm trying to look skinny or something. So then this makes me ponder if I should tell him. I was sleeved on Election Day at 322 lbs. Just weighed in at 276. I've rediscovered the wonderful world of S E X after many years of just "going through the motions". My how things have changed! It was brought to my attention that it is preferred by most women to have a 'clean' shaven man. Really? Why? I just don't get it. Unless there's a true purpose behind doing it, I just can't see myself doing that.

I stopped taking my birth control pills a few days before surgery. Figured the first few weeks after were going to be a no-go and I wouldn't feel up to anything anyway. Plus my dr said no pills. When did everyone start taking their birth control pills, or did you ever stop taking them?

So I met a guy about two weeks before my surgery (a week ago), and everything just sort of clicked. I told him about my surgery, and he's been really open-minded and supportive about it. We've even started calling each other boyfriend and girlfriend -- only a few weeks after we've met. Everything seems fine, but I'm already starting to feel guilty about not being able to go out to eat, get drinks after work, do normal "new" relationship stuff. I know a lot of relationships fail (even marriages end in divorce) after surgery. Has anyone on here gone through something like this AND had it work out? There's this guy at my work. He introduced himself to me after I had been working there for around 3 months. He's pretty shy and quiet. After introducing himself, he now goes out of his way to bump (literally bump) into me, pat my shoulder, hold the small of my back while walking around me, and just to see me. I was wondering if its possible to get rid of cellulite on your stomach? Will exercise and dry brushing help? Or will I need to get it removed by plastic surgery?

Ok so I've never been one to take measurements, I'm now regretting not taking preop measurements. I've lost 40 lbs and still wearing the same pants!! I've seem some of you girls saying with 40lbs you dropped quite a few pant sizes, why aren't I? Don't take this the wrong way I'm not upset, or down or anything, I'm not looking for a pity party, or a pick me up, i just want to understand what's going on.

I read a book a long time ago that women's weight loss goes along with their monthly cycle. Actually, even after a full hysterectomy, I still find this to be my case. I really don't know if its true, but I will loose a lot the week after, I would normally have a period, but the weeks around that time my weight just trickles along. Who knows for sure, but it may help someone.

I'm 6 months post op, 15 pounds from my ultimate goal, met a guy last month and we've been seeing each other pretty regularly. He knows I had surgery, knows I only have part of a stomach, and has seen how little I eat- he seems to be ok with it. He doesn't know what kind or surgery I had, or that I had it to lose weight. He doesn't know that I used to 260 pounds. But now I want to be Facebook friends with him. Most of my pics are the old me so as soon as I FB him, he's going to find out. Should I tell him about the surgery, wait to FB him until later, or just go ahead and not say anything?

I am 9 weeks post op. Down 44 lbs. and gone from an 18 to a 14. I already feel so much better with the weight I have lost. My knees especially. I just wanted to share what my husband Steve said to me night before last when he came in from work. He said "you sure are all dolled up". Ok this may be totally unrelated, but... I have had the Mirena IUD since Jan 2011. Up until surgery it has given me nothing but pain, however I had virtually NO period. I started my period 3 days after surgery so that would've been 12/27 that I started. I have had more bleeding now than the past 4-5 months combined. It has been 11 days now and I'm still going. It's also a really nasty brown color. (Sorry if that's TMI) The good news is that the pain I used to have is gone. Just curious if anyone else experienced anything like this?

I posted my newest picture on my Facebook, and while talking with my mom today she mentioned that I've lost too much weight. Apparently, my younger brother thinks I look "sick" and my face looks "gaunt". I have a couple of friends who had RNY, and they looked "sick" and their faces were actually gaunt looking because they weren't following the rules. Hi everyone, I'm 5 months post-op and had sex for the first time Sunday. Embarrassed to say I began to bleed during sex. I didn't notice until we were finished. I was beyond mortified. I have an appt with my doctor. Has this happened to anyone else.

I am a week out post op so I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions for undergarments. What do you wear to smooth out the excess skin? How soon did you need to start wearing them into your wls journey? Jenn

My husband and I rescue mistreated reptiles. These babies were in the worst conditions when we got them. BJ is just a baby that we got yesterday. A handsome little guy. Anastasia we have had for two years. She had severe Calcium deficiency and was paralyzed. With proper vet care and our love she is now completely healed and is moving about freely. Only damage left is one leg that does not fuction all the way. Our love for these babies is ever lasting. If you want an iguana just know they are not simple creatures to keep. Hi, all! So my surgery had been pushed back by a week twice. I finally go in tomorrow morning and of course my period started today. I just got off the phone with my nurse and when I asked her about it she said I could keep a tampon in "no problem". Since this is he powder room, ladies, did anyone else keep their tampons in during surgery? I've heard of people having to go without anything or use the spiderweb panty. How long did it take for you to lose weight in your breasts?

So I started protein shakes yesterday and my stomach is not happy. I am able to drink it no problem but it's going right thru me. Im not sure if this is normal or if I should switch to soy milk... If it goes away great... anyone dealt with that before?

Ok ladies, I'm sure some of you can relate , when our stomachs stuck out as much as our boobs . My stomach still isn't flat , but my boobs stick out past it now, lol. Has anyone missed a period since surgery? Mine is two days late. I'm definitely not pregnant. I feel all the symptoms bloating cramping etc but nothing else I know sometimes periods stop when you lose too much at once. Just want to hear everyone else's experience

Now, I am near goal and not sure this would have worked before but i believe I found a miracle "cure" - well, it is not a cure but certainly a containment. I bought a pair of those stay up thigh high stockings. I stuffed my inner thigh skin into a nice pair of black ones, and my legs look and feel so nice. The rest of my legs ARE nice, but those inner thighs just ruin it for me. Now, I can imagine now what normal thighs would be like. I bought them for wearing with a dress, but right now I am wearing them under my skinny jeans and love the feel. I am only 9 days post op and already on a stale for the last 3 days?!?!? Plus I got my period today WTH this is soooo frustrating. Oh and let's not forget still in clear liquids till who knows when. aaarrrrHhhhhh!!!'nn

What can I take for my cramps? Since surgery my period more and more regular. Which is great. But my cramps are threating to kill me. And it hurts so bad. Help!

What has everyone tried? What seems to work best/worst? I was on the pill and have already stopped it as I'm getting close to approval time. I know I can't go back on the pill. I definitely don't want an IUD, I don't like the idea of something permanently planted inside me. Not sure I'm comfortable with Implanon either. I'm thinking Depo shots, but I still need to talk wit my doctor about it. I can't wait to get back on something. My boyfriend and I both hate condoms. Also, how long do you have to wait to have sex post op?

I have a quick question if anyone could help me out that would be awesome I have natural curly hair, for the most part it has always been on the coarse side and is dry and frizzy, it seems like since surgery it has gotten even dryer. I usually will put in some type of cream or gel in my hair and scrunch it and let it air dry, even when I put products in it after my hair has air dried it is still so dry and brittle looking, it looks like I didn't put anything in it, its driving me crazy! Can anyone recommend any good products that they think would help? I would really appreciate any help, thanks <3

So the glue has come off my incisions now and they are healing well. Now i notice that they are considerably hard 2 out of the 5. Is this normal?? I have had only finger surgery and i dont remember it being this hard! Maybe im just paranoid?

I'm about to my breaking point with this hair loss. I'm about 10 months out and my once very thick gorgeous hair is now incredibly thin and still falling out. Anyone ever use Rogaine? Does it work as intended?

I'm sure you ladies know where I'm coming from when I say it was a big chore to groom down there. I hated doing it but had to bc I prefered it that was and I'm sure my hubby did as well. I'm three weeks out. Used to be on birth control pills but not for a little over a month (my birth control is a little more permanent and non hormonal now BUT I do have birth control AND back up). Should be having a period but it has been the saddest little excuse of a period ever. I've been exercising as much as I can (congenital hip dysplasia gives me fits some days) but there aren't enough minutes to burn off my crazy rage. I know I'm dumping hormones and PMSing. Not sure where to ask...so I'll start here. I've lost my ass!!! It's as flat as a pancake!! In my heavier days I would buy pants w no back pockets so my butt wouldn't look as big. Now i'm looking at pants with pockets and buttons on the backside. I look a bit better with that camouflage. Any other wardrobe tips? Thanks!!! Judy
