As I stated before I got approve for SNAPS. I'm getting a large amount. I haven't used it all yet. I did get everything we needed. My fridge is full & my freezer is loaded with all types of meat. I have nothing else to buy. In October I get more SNAPS. It will add to the amount I have now. The basic stuff like milk juice eggs I get with WIC. So idk what to do with all the extra SNAPS. I have 365 days to use it or lose it. So I was thinking of buying my mom food in December when everyone gets to see the new me. I want to get her a lot of food including meat. Is this a good idea? Food and money are things hard to get. Food shouldn't be wasted so many hungry people …

I guess my hubby is now realizing I'm taking my life style change seriously. Since he is my partner & any body change affects or improve the marriage. I asked him since he will be helping me pay for plastic surgery. If I can do a boob lift & lift my arm. He looked at me & said yes. I guess it's ok. So in 2 years or so I'll be doing a mommy make over. Thanks Charlie

So my husband and I have an 18 month old. He used to work off for two weeks at a time so I pretty much did everything for the baby. Even when he was home I did everything. So now he's working in town so he's home all the time. He hasn't changed a diaper in over two months, he's never fixed a meal for our son, he will occasionally bathe him but won't put on his PJ's. So the baby started antibiotics yesterday. I forgot to give him the probiotic and he got diarrhea. I've changed 5 poopy diapers already-one of which required a bath. I asked husband to change the last one. He did it but he was mad. He says why did you want to have a baby so bad if you don't want to do the m…

Hey Ladies... Just wanted to report that I had my 1st non-drug induced monthly cycle.. Sept 1-6... A little crampy early on.. but nothing severe enough to require meds... Didn't bleed like a slaughtered pig (though the regular tampons didn't quite work too well day 2 and 3) TMI.. sorry... but, I'm excited and hopefully, my gyn will tell me that I can get my IUD.... I was diagnosed w/ PCOS 10 years ago... I usually have to do a 5-10 cycle of Provera to bleed.. Got a Mirena Feb 2011... didn't have any more periods until this one.. Gyn wanted me to do Provera again, didn't want to .. just prayed and I think my body if finally trying to act normally... Kind of stuck at 3…

I know that women can sometimes get cravings around that time of the month but this is my first period since my surgery 2 months ago, and for some reason NO food will satisfy me. I am hungry, and I try different things, but nothing hits the spot. Nothing makes me feel "full" or satisfied. I was doing great, and on track and now what the hell? What is going on? Has anyone else had this going on?

My husband, before we got married, last October did confide that he was a recovering alcoholic. I guess I did not understand exactly what that meant until recently. We got married on 10/31/2011. In January, I thought he was having a stroke, but right as I was about to call 911 he confessed he had just guzzled a bottle of vodka, thus the slurring and stumbling. There have been many more incidents since then like this one. He has even been to some AA meetings to try to appease me. Last Saturday he was drunk before 1030 in the morning. He had went out to buy donuts, and guzzled a bottle of tequilla on the way home. He tried to lie and tell me some melatonin made him do all…

For lack of better terms, I have a constant growl in my stomach with gas pressure and tiny quakes throughout. I fart and burp all of the time! The pressure in my lower stomach isn't painful, just annoying. I am 6 days post op and hope it gets better! Also, I thought I might be lactose intollerant, but the only thing that really upsets me is the protein shakes. I drink one and am instantly in the bathroom. Cottage cheese, yogurt, cream soups, skim milk, and pudding all go down ok. Not sure what's up with the protein supplements.

Again, sorry if this is TMI, but I am so frustrated. I am currently at my heaviest. I am used to the chafing during the summer (thanks goodness for chub rub gel), but now I have a new issue. I am constantly sweaty down there- all the time! My kitty is sweaty (a bit stinky) and the skin under the belly. It i driving me cray. I have gone so far as to start using anti-antiperspirant/deodorant to try and make it better. Now, to top it all off, I seem to be sweating so much, I have clogged sweat glands. These are the most painful things I have ever had, and if they don't go away with siitz baths, I am going to have to have them lanced by a doctor. Aside from the …

I had a hysterectomy 18 years ago. I keep seeing period issues as well as hormone issues. I don't get periods or have those wickedly hormonal moments. What will happen (if anything) when I have surgery? Will I still have hormonal issues? Can I expect to be blissfully happy?

My surgeon has a thing about my boobs. When I saw him at my last appointment when I finalised everything for the op, he asked if I had put on weight (I probably did) as my boobs looked bigger. I just laughed him off and said it was a good bra. Then upon exiting the room, he said that I'll lose them (I'm a DD/E cup) with the weight, to which I replied that I'll just replace them. I saw him the other day for 2 and a bit month post op review and said that my boobs haven't gotten any smaller (which they haven't, as I'm still same band/cup size). Your thoughts?

I stopped having regular menstrual cycles at around the age of 15. Since then I would get my period maybe 3-4 times a year and it would last about a day or so. Over time it slowed down more and more up until I would last years without a period. (I had an IUD put in last year and before that my last period was almost 2 years past) After surgery (now 6 weeks post op) I've been spotting on and off. I wonder if it's because of the hormones and changes in the way my body now balances things or is it just due to the weight loss??

Was sleeved 5 weeks ago. I had a normal period 2 weeks before surgery. I have very regular, somewhat heavy periods that last about 7 days, and am not on birth control. After surgery (1.5 weeks), my period starts. Very light for the first several days, then super heavy. It lasts 11 days. Then 10 days later, my period shows up again...again very light. It's day 6 of this weird light period. Are there some homeopathic herbs or something that can help my body stop freaking out? I really don't want to be on birth control again (DH is snipped). I'm due for my annual exam this month. It was hoping I could find a solution before then. It's so freaking annoying!

I'm watching Yummie Tummie on HSN right now. I remember the days of getting Bali control panties at Macy's. I tried Spanx years ago but maybe didn't get the right style. So for our needs, which I'm not sure are the same as most women- any advice? It's been a long time since I wanted to appear flatter- as I gave up the last few years. Now that I'm back to work soon I'd like some ideas of what's in the market now. I'm thinking moderate control-- don't like the ones that make your arms/shoulders hurt by pulling so much every time you have to go to the bathroom. Thanks!!

Have your 11y/o rotf laughing cause your underwear is now saggy & baggy.....you might a gastric sleeve patient. Your hubby gets excited because every time you bend over, your boobs fall out of your bra that is now too big..you might be a gastric sleeve patient.. Are walking down the hall carrying laundry and your pants hit the floor because they are way too big, you might be a gastric sleeve patient. Take a shower in the morning and look down and think there is a small mammal in there with you and then realize its just where your hair is falling out...you might be a gastric sleeve patient.. Yesterday I made lasagna with shrimp salad on the side. I was worried since I decided after 6 months I will try pasta & rice but occasionally. I was really hungry. I serve my self in a really small plate even though I'm 3 months I can't eat as much. Omg! It was delicious. I kept everything down. The lasagna was so yummy. Chop meat & cheese with sauce stood down & the shrimp salad. Last time I try shrimp I thought I was gonna die. I was so happy. I don't feel like a stranger I can join the table. Yes everyone looking at me like wow! Maybelin is eating pasta wow! So delicious. Will I be eating another piece today nope! I will eat the salad & some boil red po…

HOping I can find strength within. My grandmother is not doing very well and I am her caregiver during the day. She has pretty much given up. Sitting in the hospital is hard. The food there Is NOT healthy which I don't get at all. I can't exercise there and when I get home I have my family to take are of. UGH! I'm hoping I can stay on track and plan things out I'm packing my lunch so I don't have to worry about that. The other day I just sat there and remembered that just 1 floor up was where I had my sugery and that I'm glad I didn't wait that she got to see me healthy with my diabetes under control. She has always been my biggest cheerleader so maybe the strength I need…

I haven't been sleeved yet, going on 11/7 but as I was getting dressed I was thinking I can not wait until I can put my bra on and my rolls do not cover the sides and how I can't wait for my panties not to keep rolling under my last tummy , it seems the only ones that do not do that are my "granny panties" (for a lack of better words). Just thought I would share with others that may understand how I am feeling and I am just giggling away over here at how silly it all would sound to someone that doesn't understand.

Hi ladies! Thursday, I started having these terrible stomach pains. I couldn't figure out what the problem was then I thought perhaps It's diarrhea. So I went to the bathroom and low and behold BAM it all came out like a ton of bricks. However, my stomach continued to have pain so I have in an out of the bathroom all day at work. I then started to worry Bc I knew something wasn't right. I looked up the leak signs and I didn't have any of those besides the stomach pains. So I figured it wasn't that. I continued to sit on the toilet and waste continued to come out. Then I realized. Omg I've felt this feeling before! But I couldn't remember what the feeling was. I j…

I'm 4 weeks post surgery and I still have yet to have a "normal" bowel movement. I am far from constipated. I'm eating soft foods and some regular foods and still have this "issue" with bms. I told my surgeon about it and she said it's because of the foods that I am eating since they were pureed and are soft it's not a problem. I'm not so sure. I also have major issues with the need to go to the bathroom about 1/2 hr after I drink a Protein shake. I won't get into details other than to say when it hits me I need to act fast. Has anyone else had these issues? Will it go away? Do you think my history of IBS has something to do with it? Any advise or thoughts are great…

I guess the timing is right for PMS but OMG...I cannot stop eating. So considering I cant barely eat much food... as opposed to before the sleeve... I guess it's a good thing that I have the sleeve. But my goodness I've had what seems like so much food since about 6 am... 1 mini doughnut ( my daughter left it in the car after dropping her off at school) 2 - 3oz. Danimals yogurt 4 fuyuns (yumm) 1/4 shelled sun flower seeds 8 oz water Has anyone else done this or struggled with pms eating???

I'm 4 weeks out. I am 5 days late. Did anyone else experience this? I am assuming its the whole weight loss and increase in hormones. I know its not pregnancy, because then it would be either considered an immaculate conception, or I might have some serious "splainen" to do to the husband.

I am not quite 2 weeks post op and I feel worse than the short period of baby blues I went through after having my last kiddo. I cried like a spoiled brat when my husband said I couldn't buy a lotion for my dry skin. Then I cried my heart out when I didn't get a pedicure today. That's not the only things that have had the water works working over time! I don't really have anyone to talk to about it and my kids and husband are walking around me like they are on egg shells. I made lunch for my in laws the other day and then asked why I wasn't eating it with them. Uh, really?? They told my husband I was disrespectful! I show them a video of the surgery days before the incide…

Hey Ladies! I have been highlighting my hair since I was about 13 (it would have been so much easier if God had made me a natural blonde). I am in DESPERATE need to dye my hair, but I have been battling the dreaded hair loss. I take Biotin every day and it has definitely helped. I still pull out a relatively large clump of hair when I get out of the shower but I can tell that it's less and less each time. Should I wait to have my hair chemically treated? I don't want it to all fall out but my roots.....oh man they're bad..... What do you guys think? Risk it or wait? Anyone out there ever have their hair colored post-surgery, espcially during the hair loss phase?
