I'm having a lot of trouble keeping my emotions under control, and also my temper is real short ever since VSG (I'm 33 days post op). Im crying at the drop of a hat, having irrational fears, and also getting angry and snapping real quick. I'm always apologizing for my actions lately, especially to my husband. I feel so out of control emotionally lately. Anyone else going through this or has gone through this? Will it ever end? I hate feeling like this.

I hate to say it, but I'm finding myself increasingly irritated by my husband. I'm fighting like hell to get myself healthy and attractive, and he sits right next to me eating corn dogs, pizza, chips, etc., etc. We used to enjoy our cocktails together and of course I can't do that now...hasn't slowed him down a bit. I'm starting to feel like the designated driver at the party...not so fun:(. I know this was MY choice, and it is MY journey, but he has a lot of weight to lose to and I'd think he'd consider taking this opportunity to start working on it...or at least have more respect for me, and how difficult this process is. I know everyone has to find their own jour…

So, how long after surgery did you want to have sex? I haven't been in the mood lately, I think bc I'm stressed out about the surgery and other things. I mean, how long after your sleeve did you feel that you had the energy to do it? Just curious!!

Hi Ladies, I was recently sleeved (6/14) and unfortunately my hair is thinning quite a bit. I'm worried if I dye my hair today it could be a disaster. My roots are showing and I'm going to a party tomorrow, so I'd really like to know what you all think. Thanks!

I have a stomach bug, my second since my WLS (Dec '12). I think I have figured out why throwing up from this is way worse than from eating too much. This is food already past the band trying to come up, and it hurts trying to force its way through! It took me six incredily painful dry heaves to finally get something up. It wasn't even that much, but enough that it hurt like a you-know-what! If anyone has any suggestions for what I should be doing during this time (other than avoiding foods and resting), please, please let me know. I feel HORRIBLE right now!

Hi Ladies: I am the mother of a soon-to-be 2yr old & my husband and I have decided that we dont even want to discuss having another child within the next 5 yrs. So, I NEED some type of birth control. I had NuvaRing & ortho tri cyclen & believe they contributed to my weight gain. With all the recalls, the horrors of regaining the weight looming, and the possible side effects of an IUD, what's a girl to do?? What are some of you doing or using for birth control? Thank you in advance.

So, before surgery, I never even weight myself to see if my weight fluctuated throughout a month due to hormones or not. Now that I am at goal and fairly stable, I am more in tune with my body then I ever was before. And it is driving me CRAZY! I have weight fluctuations throughout my cycle that leave me scratching my head...what is my real weight!? Ovulation = 2-4 lbs weight gain plus bloating for about a week. Then I go back down to normal for less than a week, and then back up 2-4 lbs during PMS until the tail end of my period, then BOOM, back down 2-4 lbs overnight. Then I will stay there for 2 weeks until ovulation starts again. I am a logically person and kn…

So, I've been MIA for the last 10 days or so because I went on a vacation. It was wonderful! I started out by driving to Myrtle Beach, SC to see my son and his girlfriend. We had a terrific time except that my son was totally taken aback by how little I eat. Both told me that I look fantastic, which is always nice to hear! I hit Planet Fitness (my gym) up there 4 times and it was a blast to workout in the "same" gym, even though the layout was a little different than my home facility. For anyone who is interested, it certainly seemed that there were more tourists than "home" members in there every time I went. I left SC to drive to Kentucky, to a cousin's house up…

This has nothing what-so-ever to do with the surgery, but I had to share. I love my kitty trying to play with me under the bathroom door. Everytime I get up to go to the bathroom, she runs like the dickens to get in there. She love to try and get me under the door! This is my first kitty ever and I love her so much!

Something that has been bugging me. I notice a lot of people who go through a major change either worry about their partner being faithful, or have a partner worrying about their faith. I think it shows a strong person who can have people hitting on them, and instead of causing real pain and heartbreak either in a marriage or partnership, remain faithful. It is not fair to go from being overweight and insecure holding your spouse and saying you love them, only to become thin and confident and instead of returning the comfort your spouse once gave you, you cheat. Even if we are changing, and think ourselves capable of having any man we want, we should look the ones we have…

I'm scheduled for surgery around the time I should get my period. I'm on BC, I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to skip the placebo pills and go straight to another pack so I don't have a period. Has anyone had surgery during your menstrual cycle? I heard you can't take levonex, the anti blood clot medicine during your period....I don't know what to do.

My husband and I have complete opposite schedules. He is a complete morning person, and I am a complete night owl. This screws up our sex lives because he loves to wake me up way too early to get it on. I love sex and I'm ready for it most of the time. I tried to get something going this evening, and he was "too tired" so I got a little miffed, and thought "why should he always get his way?" So I told him not to wake me up in the morning. I am wondering ( now it's past 1 am and I don't even feel like heading to bed) if he's really going to be able to not wake me up. I know how long he can go in between I want quality, damn it! I am not going for a little quickie in…

So i am 4 weeks out of surgery. Last weekend i started feeling this horrible pain in my back. Couldnt hardly straighten up and all i could do was sit with the heating pad. Finally after 3 days of the pain i call my surgeon. Nothing to do with my surgery, he told me to call my PD. After urine sample we ruled out kidney issues, gall stones, UTI. I was all clear but the pain kept getting worse and worse all i could do was curl up and cry or soak in the bath. Then yesterday mother nature visited me. 2 weeks early! I guess thats why we ruled out PMS because i wasnt due for weeks. I have never had pains like this before and my PD explained that my whole body and hormones were …

Yesterday my hubby and I were out shopping. We stopped at a store called "Big R", has feed, western clothes, oil just a wide variety of country living items. As I was walking in, hubs says "you need to buy a new pair of jeans"' I said why? I was wearing my size 14 jeans that I had not worn much... He said STOP ....so I stopped mid-step and he took a picture of my backside with his phone and said "this is WHY...you have "saggie assiduous". I took a quick look and said "fine, I will get a pair of pants". Then this morning, he sent me the picture, I opened it on my iPad and saw to the left of my arm where I randomly stopped next to a shelf of pants, was a sign that s…

Had LapBand a year ago. Previous to having it I never had a period because of my weight, even on birth control to help regulate it nothing ever happened. I do not have Pcos either. This past year I have lost 100 pounds and still nothing ( I am still considered severely obese according to bmi). I have noticed though that the past 4months I have had alot of cm. No bleeding just clear slimy liquid. No stds and nope not pregnant. Is this a sign a period is coming? Anyone experienced anything like this?

Hey everyone. I hope all is well. I haven't been feeling good for the past 2 days. I noticed that its correlating to my forecasted period start of tomorrow. For years, I've been able to pinpoint the start of my period by my pre-period symptoms of bloating, chocolate cravings, and excessive road rage. Now, everything is different. I'm nauseous, especially at the sight and smell of food. The only thing Ive really been eating today is a pack of crackers and gatorade. They seem to settle my stomach. I've never experienced this much nausea before. I don't like this. I have a weird fear of throwing up. It hurts too much. Did anyone else notice a change in your cycle sympt…

Here I am scrolling the different topic "rooms" so to speak and in this women's section there are only four posts.... but when I went under the men's section a question was posed by a man for men about impotency and at least 4 women answered the question! Lmao!: )Have we no shame?: )If I were a man I would be reluctant to post my manly questions there because there would be a bunch of hens answering questions about unfamiliar territory. I was reading because I was curious but NEVER would I have commented on anything because its always nice to give a man his dignity... Please excuse my sarcastic wit if anyone is offended: ) Sent from my Nexus S 4G using RNYTalk

Hey girls! I've been having a problem and really needed to see if it's just me or if it has happened to some of y'all. This is a bit tmi so heads up! the passed 3 times I've had sex I've been bleeding a ton afterwards. I've been to the doctor and he's not so worried about it because I have no pain. It's as if I'm having a really heavy period for about 10 minutes, enough to fill up an overnight pad, and then bam! It's done bleeding till the next time we have sex. No new positions no new anything. Doctor told me if it continues to go do an ultrasound but how long does it have to continue till I go do the ultrasound? Ugh

I'm finally to the point I keep my ring and band in their original box during the day. I like to wear them at night (comforting), but I've awoken to find them strewn in the bed. They fall off very easily with about a 2-3mm gap to my finger. But I still have 50+ pounds to lose before I'm where I want to be for long-term. When did you have your rings resized? I'm afraid of waiting until I'm near goal, going too small, then regaining. Let's face it, we're still planning to have a kid or two and I'm betting with age I'll crawl back up the scale here and there (you know, when I'm 80). I'm not interested in the little band things you can put on the back, I tried my grandmot…

So now that I've lost 92lbs I have no solid breast tissue. I have the hardest time buying bras. I bought some beautiful bras from VS that fit great. The problem is after wearing them a few hours my breasts just fall. I would love breast implants but who can afford that lol. Does anyone have any suggestions. I know it's sort of TMI but it's so frustrating.
