Being Faithful

Something that has been bugging me. I notice a lot of people who go through a major change either worry about their partner being faithful, or have a partner worrying about their faith. I think it shows a strong person who can have people hitting on them, and instead of causing real pain and heartbreak either in a marriage or partnership, remain faithful. It is not fair to go from being overweight and insecure holding your spouse and saying you love them, only to become thin and confident and instead of returning the comfort your spouse once gave you, you cheat. Even if we are changing, and think ourselves capable of having any man we want, we should look the ones we have in our lives even if their fears keep them from giving up the support we need at the moment. If my boyfriend woke up one morning and every girl on earth wanted him and he knew it, I might not be so fast to pat him on the back and say "I'm proud of you!" Sure its tempting to test the new look and flirt, but the grass is not always greener. I know I'm going off on a tangent, but sometimes there is a real reason a spouse gets worried about the other cheating. If we give the comfort they need to make them understand we are not going anywhere, then we are doing our part. That does not give them the right to abuse or degrade by any means. But it seems that we have a great challenge ahead of us. It has just been on my mind is all. Thanks for reading.

Kevin seems like a great guy. Im sorry to hear . The poor kids will suffer. It's really sad.

As a divorced mom of one I have to say that the kids are actually better off in a situation where there is less tension and animosity. They suffer more when they around parents who no longer get along. I know it was an adjustment for my son when my ex and I split when he was two however he is now a very well adjusted five year old whose parents love him very much.

You will be ok Summer.. Stay strong and do what's right for you. Happy mom = happy kids :)

Yeah it was just a bad situation he is so insecure with himself he was takin it out on me' date=' as far as to tell me I was messing around with a girl friend of mine and her husband, got pissed off because I went to the movies for a girls night and wore makeup.....yesterday was the breaking point when he pulled his shit cussing at me throwing things around the house and pulling a gun on me!

Thank god the kids were at my friends Staci's house!!

He keeps begging me to come back but I'm not! I'm done and over with him and ready to start a new life with new people.....and I can't thank Kevin (kwal79) enough for being there for me and Staci too she's allowing me to stay with her and her family until I can get on my feet!

You made a good choice leaving honey you and those babies don't need that! Also sounds like you got 2 good friends helping you threw it. I wish you all the luck in the world, keep us updated.

Well it's true to stay faithful to ur marriage u know of coaurse ur going to get more attention than when u were bigger but u know my Hubby doesn't mind because he knows I'm not going to do anything. We've been together since 1997 and we have been through it all but I know one thing is we trust eachother and he's happy whether I am 280 lbs or 185 . One thing that he knows is I'm not going anywhere else and I know he's not going anywhere else cuz I wear nicer clothes now and especially being summer I show more skin an it doesn't bother him it seems like the older we get the wiser we get an like I said we have been through it all ......

I'm all for working things put but if the marriage has more bad then good it's best to separate. When a wife leaves the home is abandonment of the home. You should had moved your furniture & whatever you have in the household. think about everything before getting together with Kevin or anyone else.

I want to thank everyone for supporting summer. I am supporting her to the fullest.

Are you getting a job? Child supports takes a while & some men out of anger leave there job so no child supports.

I know what you mean, back in 2005 me an my husband had split up an he left me for another woman I went with another man after he left , but he found that the grass he thought was greener actually turned brown an dead, it took 8 months for him to realize an child support helped him realize it more as they started to take moeny from his check but anyways we got back together an we actually have a good trust between eachother because wut we both realized is if someone wants to leave the other there's nothing u can do to stop them..... Sometimes the new love works out sometimes it doesn't because if you don't fix the problems with yourself before u get in another relationship it just comes with u in the new relationship....

Your right! I hope every guy starts hitting on me since my hubby never tells me I'm beautiful sexy or dinner was great! It would be great to hear it from someone besides the group.

If I can tell my hubby he has a nice body why can't he tell me the same? Ok I'm fat now but my stomach is smaller. He is only worried about me getting a flat butt. Keeps telling me don't lose your butt.

Thats great that u were able to reconnect and get over the bs. My first marriage was in 99 we split up in December of 99 we tried to work things out for another year but couldn't. He never really trusted me even though our daughter was his. We were both in the navy and i found out i was pregnant three weeks after i left for road island and he left for a 6 month deployment. He always thought i was unfaithful and it always came back and was a fight even though there was nothing to fight about. I

I'm sorry you had to go through that. Men can be such boneheads! I told my ex when our first daughter was born and me being half Mexican she came out dark. She's darker than me! He's German and looks at our black hair red brown skinned daughter and jokingly asked me if she was his. I looked at his ass and said if I had her with another guy , he would have money and I would not worry about lying to you. It sounds like you are better off without a man who would think that. You are stronger for walking away knowing you never once questioned being mom. Men make themselves look like an ass when they do that.
