  7. Love the way you worded that. A good way to look at it!
  8. Well we're nieghbors then! I live in Ceres. And welcome to the group! Everyone here really has been so supportive and helpful to me and I'm still pre-op.
  9. Okay I'll have him file then. His work is really a bunch of d**** so he doesn't even get sick leave but atleast he gets vacation. Yeah it is better to be safe than sorry though so I'll have him do the paper work. On a brighter note his job is about to vote in teamsters union so things should be changing for the better pretty soon!
  10. Yeah that's a tough one because it's like when do you as the govt. step in. I think it is a good try, I don't think it will really solve anything in the big picture though. Seems like businesses will figure out a way to get around it. But who knows. And on another note, what the hell is it about soda that is so damn GOOD! Haha it's funny cause flat soda is hella nasty! I guess it's the carbonation, but why? So weird.
  11. Oh okay I see. So should he still bother with filing for fmla or just plan his vacation for the date of my surgery? Thanks for your help :-)
  12. Did he get paid anything for that week?
  13. As anyone had or know if you can have your spouse take Family Medical Leave from work to help you out during and after surgery? I'm from California in case the laws are different. Thanks

  15. I haven't been to this thread in awhile, but I was thinking of one today so I came and read up on all the latest posts. Anyways I would love not being the one who creaks the wood floors in our house so loud! It's awful! Especially when we have company over and I have to get up and walk around when everyone is quiet! It's like I know what everyone is thinking but atleast no one says anything! Oh and since it's that time of the month I thought it'd be nice not to struggle so hard to put a tampon in! Lol we got a lot to look forward to!!!!
  16. Oh glad to know that I'll still get to have my hot sauce!
  17. Getting told that "adults" aren't supposed to be on the kiddie water slides. I was actually helping my then 2 year old go down but soon realized that other parents wern't told to get off so it was because if my size!
