  1. Yay!!! Just happy and wanted to post my excitement!
  2. I feel for you. If it was as easy as she said about just stop eating and exercise then doesn't she think you would have tried that by now ? Just remember to get your support where you can and forget about trying to get it from those who don't understand. You don't have to convince anyone of anything. You did good though so don't feel down. Life is full of people like her so be prepared for next time. Think how you'd rather handle people like her? Do you want to be in that debate with a person that won't accept your view? Also remember that she probably has your best interest at heart because she was saying how you could die and sounded worried. I don't know what else to say I guess I started rambling a bit lol
  3. I think you will be okay. Don't stress. At my first consultation appt the PA told me that they had a patient that was pregnant at the time of surgery because she(unbeknownst to them) had unprotected sex the night before surgery. They of course did a pregnancy test on her just like they do on all female patients and it came out negitive. Anyways, the baby came out fine and everything. During the pregnancy she had to see a special nutritionist though. Best wishes for your two tiny precious bundles of joy! You can do this! It will all be okay. It always is. You just keep on keeping on. I wish the best of health to you and your babies.
  4. I'm so disappointed for you too. I don't get it! Well at least it not a no forever and since you have to do the six month thing anyways all should be fine. I'm nervous about my psych appt too. Hope they pass me!
  5. So excited for you guys! How lovely it must be to have you days of waiting finally over!!!! Best wishes for an excellent surgery and speedy recovery!!!!!
  6. She probably has a little more invested in him than to just leave him just to not deal with it. Husbands are people too. Don't give up on him, I'm sure he'll come around. She's just frustrated and I get that. Wishing you the best:)
  7. Okay thanks! Im so relieved!
  8. I quit smoking for a while now but then on the fourth of July I was drinking and then got offered a cigarette and smoked two. Now I'm worried that I won't be six months with out smoking. I have to get a letter signed by my PCP that I'm six months with no smoking. Does anyone know if they test your blood or urine somehow, or do they just go by your word and sign the paper. I'm supposed to go to see my PCP in October, so that will be three months since I smoked, so if they do check do you think I'd still pass? Any response is much appreciated! Thank you.
  9. I know how you must feel. I've got judgmental people over here too. It sucks. If we were going to have heart, knee or whatever other type of surgery that's okay, but weight loss surgery is unnatural and whatever else bs they try to guilt us with. What as humans do we do that is natural anyways! I guess no one should go to the dentist to get there cavities filled! Or take medicine either. What a bunch a bs. I feel for you. You should be able to count on your hubby to respect your wishes. I'm sure if it was him going to get a vasectomy he wouldn't want you out there telling everyone! Hope those people he told don't give you a hard time. :-)
  10. I deleted that in case anyone I know would see
  11. GOOD LUCK! And WAY TO GO!!

  13. I know huh the nerves will drive me nuts too when it's my day at the hospital. Just try to relax. A good relaxing breathing technique that I learned somewhere is called 567 breathing. It's where you breath in for 5 seconds, hold your breath for 6 seconds and exhale for 7 seconds. You just kinda count silently in your mind. But anyways, GOOD LUCK!!!!!!! :-)
  14. You should love her body because that's a part of who she is. Love is much deeper than outside appearances. She should find someone new then in that case because you are wanting her to lose weight for you. If she is unhealthy she should lose weight for HER HEALTH. Not for your eyes. But anyways if you really love her for her spirit you will stay with her " thru thick and thin" be ways no hard feelings just sayin. :-)
  15. Yay for you all! I can't wait for my surgery day to be that close! Best wishes to you all. :-)
