It's been 3 months, going into 4... I've had 3 fill ins, still trying to get into my green zone. I loose, but not as much as I hoped for. I think I need to work out more. Starting weight at 257 current weight 219. Here's some Pixs: Me before surgery Two weeks after surgery I think about a month? 2 months ago Last month, shirt fit me big I got my old size but it didn't fit well, sadly I wore it once, and not again This is me now, with a shirt that marinated in my closet for two years. It fits and loose now.... Well everyone, I can really only count with the honesty that you lovely people can give me. It least I know you will be h…

I had my surgery in February and have lost 85 pounds so far!!! Yay!!!! I am a high school teacher and just started school again. I am teaching 6 Foods courses (pause for recognition of irony). We have increased from 787 students to over 1,000 since Spring. We are expecting another influx after Labor Day. We are bursting at the seams and doing everything we can to meet the needs of the students. Ahhh the joys of living in the Bakken. I absolutely LOVE my job, but there is a high amount of stress right now. I know stalls are to be expected, but could my current stall be the result of the stress? Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

I dared to order this dress and when I tried it on I had my first "I actually see the loss" moment. WOW. My husband loves it! I told him you actually have a "hot" wife. He said no my wife has always been hot now she is "flaming" LOL 3 1/2 months post op 57 pounds down and just 3 more to get to my personal goal of 180.

I'm happy to say that the clothes I've had in my closet that I couldnt' imagine wearing again are now too big for me! They fit perfectly 2 years ago during my phentermine weight loss days and slowly ended up becoming too small as I gradually packed the pounds back on once the pill became ineffective. Today, I am wearing a pair of jeans that use to fit like a glove a couple of years ago and they are hanging off of me.

I've been away on vacation so not as active on this board as usual...but I'm back! Here are a couple of photos--the first one is (I think) my last known photo taken before I reached the decision, one year ago, to start my weight loss surgery research. I would go on to gain 8 kilos (about 17.5 pounds) before I actually had the surgery in March 2013. So very very glad I did. The second photo was taken yesterday morning. I was leaving for work and, when stopping by the mirror to make sure my dress wasn't tucked into my underpants or something equally mortifying, I said to myself "Wow..even I can see a difference now!

I have absolutely Zero complaints..my weight is well within normal range, as is my Body fat%... My PCP sat back and asked if could remember where I was a few years ago?? He could say it now, that I was a real mess...literally one foot in the grave....didn't know if I would make it much longer or not.... I have lost a little more than 100lbs and have about 30 - 40 to go. I thought it would be a great idea to start a thread for others who are close to goal so we can share our stories, habits and get advice from the vets that have made it to goal. Losing may get more difficult as we get closer to goal and if there are any tips to get there, I'd know I'd love to hear them. My hope is to to be down 30lbs by the end of October 2013. I'd love to hear tips and about the journey of others.

Yesterday I turned 30 years old... it's so crazy to think that at the age of 30 I am the healthiest I have EVER been. I even think back to elementary school when I was in 6th grade wearing a size 12. I am not 30 and wearing a size 11 in juniors!!! This has got to be the most unbelievable feeling. Not only do I feel amazing, but my life has had so many positive changes over the past year that at times its hard to believe that this is my new life! My sleeve not only changed my life, but saved it! I am so grateful that I have had this opportunity.

Hey Everyone! Almost three years ago I signed up for this page and was so excited about my journey and getting sleeved. Shortly after that I moved over to ObesityHelp.com and spent most of my time getting support over there. Well, I decided to check out this site again and boy, has it sure changed! This is a happening place! I'll have to stick around and see what the fuss is all about. Anywho, I love my sleeve and don't regret my decision for a second. I have been loving life and living all sorts of new adventures. Here's a couple of pics. It's been very inspiring spending some time here today and reading about everyone's triumphs. Rock on! I can play with my energetic little dog (who has taught me to fetch Lol) I can bend over and straighten up again without back pain. I can work all day and still have energy when I get home. I can change my clothes in the front seat of my jeep (don't ask, Lol) I can go upstairs and not need to recover from the trip. I can't wait to see what else I can do as time goes on... :-)

Hello all! I'm self pay so I actually don't know who to talk to about this but I'm 5'5" size 24/26 315 lb I'm guesstimating that I'll hopefully be right under 300 on the day of surgery 10/7/13. I'm thinking that I hope to make it to 170 when it's all said and done and be a 12/14. I feel like I'll never be in single digit sizes. Has anyone my size gotten down to like a 8? And if you are a size 8 how much do you weigh?

I like to say congrats to everyone who made this decision to have the surgery. Before my date (4-8-13) with the knife, I read so many success stories on this board. I couldn't wait to be one of u. I now am one of u. I went from 343 to 229 (weighted in this morn). I can't believe I lost 114lbs in 4 1/2 months. I have so much energy now that I've been running over 2 miles now for the last few weeks. Started off walking with little bursts of a jog. The effect it has had on my 3 boys is the reason I took this journey. We do some much together now that I tire them out lol. Good luck to everyone and never look back

I will be 7 months post op on 8/31/13 and have lost 66 lbs. so far. I am a little bummed cause I am not losing much. I am battling thyroid issues as well. Had total thyroidectomy 5 years ago and now with the weight loss my levels are all out of wack. I am guessing that probably has a lot to do with it. I have people all the time tell me how great I look but I still see myself as "fat" and I hate that. When will I ever be " normal" or will I ever?

Very unexpected but i have lost so much padding around my butt that now i am getting presure points. it is hard to sit in a chair for any length of time, even with 75 pounds off . I guess that is a victory of sorts. I am feeling bony prominences that i never knew i had and when i lay down they also cause presure points ( shoulder, hip) I hope i adjust to this and dont have to keep shifting my position in chairs and beds constantly.

Okay I was sure hoping to lose at least 15 pounds the first month. But yesterday got on the doctors scale and was happy to find I had lost 16 pounds in just 19 days since banding! Yeah! I know there are a lot of stories of good losses here, however I had lost 176 pounds prior to banding so I thought it might be slower for me. My surgeon told me I could expect to lose 30-40 pounds in the first couple months. But like I said I just did not expect such a good loss! Puts me just 8 pounds away from the 200 gone point! Maybe by my 1 month point who knows? Have a blessed day one and all!

  36. Hey everyone! I simply cannot believe how time flies. It seems like yesterday I was still contemplating surgery and going to my first informational meeting. At that time, my biggest goal was to fit back into my size 14 Old Navy jeans I've had for 10 years. Well, I've quite surpassed that. I now wear a size 12 jeans (size 10 in dress pants), and can go as far down as a Medium in blouses. I can't express how wonderful it is to be able to walk into a store and go into the "regular" section. My biggest problem now is that size 10's and 12's are apparently very popular, because I have a hard time finding THOSE now. Here's a pic of me the night before surgery (sorry it's …

I have been losing and gaining the same pound for the last ten days, and my loss for the last 30 days is "only" about 8 pounds. My clothes are getting a wee bit looser but nothing significant. This slow loss certainly isn't what I signed up for when I chose to have WLS because I just knew I was going to be one of those people who loses 20-30 pounds a month, blah blah blah.
