"You're losing too much weight"

  • Popular Post

I just got my first "you're losing too much weight" comment today. I ran into someone I haven't seen since I was sleeved, she told me how good I looked and told me not to lose anymore weight. I told her I still need to lose at least another 40. She said no just stop now! you're going to look sick! Now I'm 198 @ 5'3 so far from being a healthy weight... which is what I'm aiming for!

You will get that from time to time. What I have found, is that I went from being 366 pounds and am right now sitting around 224 in about 11 months, for everyone else around us who doesn't see us all

  • I'm not worried to much about the number I just want to be healthy!

  • Yeah I just don't get that. You go girl! You are doing awesome and you do it until you are happy!

Thank You!

158 sounds like a great goal for your heighth! Keep up the great work! :) :) :)

People say the darndest things don't they. Once about 15 yrs ago when I lost a bunch of weight I was 25 lbs from goal which I never reached before I started going back up. Anyway I actually felt pretty good about myself and the way I looked, my activity level and the way clothes fit. So my female friends are saying you look great, you don't need to lose more, etc... The up walks one of the husbands and said, You'd really look great if you lost another 15-20 lbs. I said, Gee thanks! You're doing great and should do whatever feels best for you!!!

I have had people tell me not to lose anymore.. I'm 5'5 and 224 is not where I want to be at.... I know its hard but try not to look too much into it. Losing a large amoutn of weight in a small amount of time not only makes you look at yourself in different ways but others as well. DO what makes you happy, until your Dr tells you that you are loosing too much weight, keep doing what you are doing. :)

Weird that one of the husbands said something, I would have giving my husband the death stare... It's so funny how people feel the need to comment on something so personal.

I know. They were neighbors & his wife wasn't there at the time but when I mentioned it she rolled her eyes & shook her head & said he's such a jerk.

I wasn't bothered by it, I just don't feel "small" or "skinny".

You're doing wonderfully, keep it up until you're satisfied, don't let others bring you down. You and your body will decide at what weight you need to be at. I think your goal weight sounds great.

I've been getting that lately as well, including from my wife. I still want to lose another 5-10 lbs, I only just today got to within the 'normal' range on the BMI chart, I want to get a little lower in case I bounce back a little in maintenance.

Congrats on being normal :)

I wouldn't say I'm normal, but at least my BMI is ;)

I've been getting the'' stop losing weight, don't lose no more weight your gonna look sick'' comments allot lately. I still have 27 pounds that I want to lose.My husband thinks 27 is too much. I wanna be in single digit pants size Im a 10 now. It can get to my head though but usually It makes me giggle inside when people say it to me because Ive been a Fatty all my life. My distant family were very open and obnoxious about how fat I was and how I need to lose weight and that how my husbands gonna cheat ect ect feels awesome to hear it from them because I know I look awesome but need a little more to look even more awesome heheheeee :) As everyone else said in the above comments do what makes you happy and feel healthy(and to piss relatives off lol ). Congrats on all the weight loss keep up the good work :)
