Saw the post"I need to get back on track",,, it jumped out at me.. I had my surgery in 2006.. Did so good, lost 77 pounds... Felt so good, looked much better.. Maintained my new weight for years.. (Never got to my full goal weight of 175).. Job became almost unbearable , stress stress and more stress. While on vacation in Albuquerque. Working the balloon festival october 2012 thought was having a heart attack, finally found it was extreme acid reflux, band was too tight,( hadn't been tightened in 18 month) after 2 days in NM. Hospital, then follow up visits after returning home, was told to open up band totally to let stomach and throat heal... Results, gained weight... …

I was crying so hard I had to pull over to the side of the road. I had just been to Sonic and wolfed down loaded tots, chicken fingers, a slush, and a blast. I felt so hopeless and alone. I was not truly enjoying life and I was ashamed of my addiction. I called my mom (who also has weight problems) and told her I couldn't do it anymore. I told her I was out of control and wanted surgery. I know the first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem but I had been admitting I had a problem for four years. It took those four years of constant yo-yoing to finally do something about it. Thankfully my parents helped pay for the surgery and I chose a doctor in Hattiesburg,…

Watching what I eat exercising, getting the adjustment but I still can't lose the last 20 times. I'm frustrated.

Hi all, I had me lapband installed Wednesday July 10th 2013. I've been home recovering and learning the art of sipping Water. I'm still having pain in my chest and back from all the air left in me, but it's getting much better. I have gone through all my "If I gain more weight" clothes and donated them to goodwill. Right now I'm having the weird hungry growls, but I feel like I ate an entire horse after a few sips of my water. What are some tips to help me keep track of my water and clear liquid intake? I've already loss three pounds since Wednesday!!!

Hi all!! My name is Nelly and I'm 24 yrs old. I had my first consultation July 3rd and surgery is expected for February 10. My insurance is requiring a 6 month medically supervised diet. Starting weight is 214 and goal weight is 120. Im only 4 feet 11 inches. I have always been on the thicker side, 145 when I got married, but it was always blamed on being a Latina with curves. After I got married the weight just started going up. My daughter is 4 yrs old now and I had a c-section with her and one month later my gallbladder removed. After I stopped breast feeding the weight seemed to double up again. I tried many methods and was even working out 2 hrs a day for 3 month…

Todays weight is 243.6 lbs, pants size is down to a 40 but it is loose and could probably go to a 38. Shirt size is a Large in most shirts, with some XL just because I still have them and their not that loose yet, lol. My daily intake numbers are less then 900 calories a day, less then 40 grams of carbs a day, more then 70 grams of protein, and a minimum of 120 oz hydration. Now for the pictures.

6 days out. Went to work today and it was really crazy because I had been out for 4 days. I was up and moving more than I anticipated but I handled it okay. My main issue is my bust. I don't own a non-underwire bra because of my bust size and so the weight of them, on the wire, on one of the the incisions is my biggest problem. But as soon as I got home I remedied that! My incisions itch a little and I am a little bored with the liquid stage ( 2 weeks to go ... Ugh) but other than that I feel great. Getting my fluids and protein in. Couldn't ask for better.

I live in Oklahoma, but am traveling to Houston in order to have the single incision (belly button) surgery. I lost 70 pounds and was well on my way to my 120 pound goal when my band slipped.(2011) I was not able to eat anything or drink anything and ended up having to have surgery. Afterward, I was afraid to put any fluid into the band for fear that I would slip again. I gained back 50 pounds before I decided to try and get back on track. After a couple of fills, I found myself vomiting and immediately asked that they remove fluid so I would not slip. My band is not in the "correct" position, but it has not slipped again. It is leaning a little. I eat mostly foods that slide down because I am afraid of what will happen. I have gained…

Anyway, I named this post accountability because we do need to be responsible for our actions. It is great to have the surgery and be successful. But what happens when all the glory subsides. You became relaxed in your diet, old habits begin to creep, etc. Yes, due to a recent job loss I allowed the depression to set in and begin those bad habits. Eating cookies, chips, etc. I had to…

I got down to about 100 lbs this past June, just in time for my birthday; but, ill admit I hadn't been consistently playing by the rules, I started smoking again, drinking alcohol, picking at foods when I'm cooking, not taking vitamins, not exercising and loading up on the carbs.
