Ok so i'm just about to 7 months post op, surgery date was December 10, 2012 preop weight of 379 lbs, pants size a tight 54 waist, Shirt size was a 3 to 4 xL. Todays weight is 243.6 lbs, pants size is down to a 40 but it is loose and could probably go to a 38. Shirt size is a Large in most shirts, with some XL just because I still have them and their not that loose yet, lol. My daily intake numbers are less then 900 calories a day, less then 40 grams of carbs a day, more then 70 grams of protein, and a minimum of 120 oz hydration. Now for the pictures.

You are doing great! I also am in Law Enforcement. Civilian in charge of planning and budget. I started at 455 back on Feb 1, 2013. My dr asked me to lose all I could while we do the three month evaluation and insurance stuff. I am 385 today and my surgery is July 25 in Dallas.

I know how much pressure you can put on yourself to be fit in law enforcement. Your success so far should make you so proud, and I'm with you buddy! Give us more updates soon and maybe I will be brave enough to post pics after a few months from now!

You're doing great! Congratulations!

Congratulations! Very inspiring!

Inspiring! What a difference 7 months makes!

That is incredible! Congratulations.

As I am a larger size as well, can you tell me what you think the keys to your success have been. And how much exercise you are doing?

Thanks

I believe the main thing to being successful is choosing the plan that works for you and sticking to it, it is way to easy to get discouraged especially when you go through the inevitable stalls but know that if you are doing what your supposed to be the weight will come off. As for exercising, during the winter months while the kids were going to school I was going to the gym 3 or 4 days a week, doing 20 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes of strength each day. Now that the kids are in summer break I don't get to go as often now only making it 1 or 2 times a week, so I increased the cardio to about 30 minutes and the strength to 45 minutes. I also find that I am now moving around and walking more then I ever did in the past which helps. Good Luck.
