I had my psych evaluation last September and just found out they never sent in the report to my dr so I can get my surgery. Tried calling and leaving messages 3 times this week since I found out. Don't know what to do. I guess I'm going to have to stop by but there is never anyone in the office

How many have flown home after surgery and Any advice? I have a prescription for compression hose and have a friend meeting me there but we are on different flight home. I will update here after surgery. Also I only ever lost 40 lbs with the band and gained 55 back after needed to be defilled. My bmi is 34, hoping to get down to …

  5. Hello all....I'm 5 weeks post op, lab band revised to sleeve, starting weight was 244, day of surgery I was 234 and today I'm at 217.5. Weight loss wise, I had a great first 2.5 weeks after surgery and dropped 16.5 consistently and quickly. But now for the past 2.5 weeks I haven't been able to lose even one pound! And I'm barely eating and doing exactly what I've been doing since surgery. I'm so frustrated! Is this normal? What can I do to start losing weight again? I have my doctors visit next week on May 3rd so then he will clear me for exercise I hope, not that I enjoy it, but I've heard it helps later with saggy skin. So please anyone out there, I'd love any advice …

The last 4 weeks have flown bye for me! I had my sleeve on February 15th and things went very well. I had a few days of pain, and it took the whole week to feel confident with my liquid diet. At three weeks I was able to move onto soft food and so far I have tolerated everything I have ate. The best part is I have lost a total of 30 pounds in 4 weeks! I feel amazing, and am already thankful for this surgery. I hope to continue on my journey and become the healthiest version of myself. I'm thankful for everyone's posts and information who prepared me for this new life journey, it really is quite the ride.

I am so bummed! My surgery is scheduled for one week from tomorrow - 4/25. I had my Pre-Op appointment this past Friday, started my "blended liquid" diet on Saturday. Saturday woke up with a bit of a rash. Thought it was spider bites. Woke up YESTERDAY with the rash having spread a bit and wasn't itchy. I decided since I'm having surgery soon, I better get it looked at and get on something if I need to so it can be GONE for surgery. The ER doc told me I have SHINGLES!!!!!!!! I'm 34yo and have the darn shingles. They don't hurt, I'm not having ANY symptoms other than the rash. I'm waiting for my surgeon to call me back now to find…

Then 5 hours later my pain changes to a soreness. Feels like i just did 500 abdominal crunches. And continues to this way for the next 5 days. I watched my blood presure and blood sugar drop several times a day. Taking no pre-surgery routine medications. Only needing pain med two times a day. Noticed on Sunday April 9th, that i was feeling out of air with any activity. Increse in sleeping throughout the day. On Monday morning I awakrned at 3:30am with a low blood sugar and a temperature. I'm 61 years young and I've raised 10 children with my hubby. We have 28 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. My RNY is not primarily about weight loss as I have precancerous nodules from Nexium and a hiatal hernia plus a ruptured diaphragm that needs fixing. I'm reading all of the info you all share and feel quite educated to help myself. I also see where this surgery is anything but a quick fix! I see some struggling with body issues and food addictions which are real! I've found in my life if I didn't like myself, it wouldn't matter what size I am. Big or small we must love ourselves! Yes, thinner people are taken more serious in workplaces as a whole... healthy needs t…

So....surgery was yesterday! And man, did yesterday suck!! But now I'm home and feeling better today. I'm a bit worried that I have a slight fever, but Doc says it's ok as long as it stays below 101. Currently 99.4, so I guess I'm good for now. It's been near impossible to keep liquid without nausea. But I'm pushing it as I definitely don't want to be dehydrated. I will post my experience later. I would have loved to know specifics beforehand. I'm in vegas with Dr Atkinson whose procedures are almost completely different than most of the accounts I've read. Anyway....I'm firmly on this path now!![emoji4]

My surgery went amazing. Only had to stay over night and was released the next day. I came home with a pain pump and a prescription to give myself 1 shot a day for 10 days of blood thinners. I have almost no pain at all except the small amount of gas left inside my chest and abominal cavity. I have been walking alot and even went grovery shopping at Walmart 2 days after surgery. Today, I had to remove the pain pump tubes on my own. Didnt hurt at all. 3 days post op here are my stats HW225 SW217 CW213 GW140.

If I even swallowed my own saliva, I began to get pukey. Luckily, I had no surgery or gas pain other than my incisions. So I get home, first few days are cool, and then my husband ate two large hotdogs covered in relish, mustard, and ketchup, with potatoe salad and Cheetos infront of me. My dog and I sat and watched him eat almost every bite, and when I realized that I had become just like my dog, I cried and went into instant surgery regret, like wtf did I do to myself? 19. I chose to have my vertigo sleeve surgery on my birthday 3 and a half years ago. It was the best gift I have ever given myself. Dr Fang at Bridges Weight Loss Center Phoenix Az.was my surgeon. My surgery was very successful, I haven't found anything I cannot eat as long as it is in moderation. I do not use straws, i do not drink anything carbonated per advised by my surgeon. My biggest challenge is taking the vitamins, I got lax for a while and it affected my hair i got pale you really need to take them your body cannot get enough from what you eat. My scars have all healed there is a tiny mark that is fading.

I seem to be losing between 5-8 lbs a week... all in all, I think I'm doing good. I had surgery Monday 4/17 and I had a bit of a scare yesterday. My calves have been tight for a few days. My left leg would loosen as I walked, but my right calf was still very painful and tight even after a long walk. I have bad knees. I've had multiple surgeries for my left knee, and my right knee has gotten increasingly worse just before surgery. So.....I was worried and called the Bariatric nurse, who contacted my surgeon and they ordered me to the ER to check for blood clots. I was really scared. But, thankfully, after some bloodwork and ultra sounds on both legs....I was given great news that nothing was wrong!! Even though I HATED going to the ER, I'm so glad I did…

On this most auspicious of dates, I was a 38 year old homemaker. Wife to an Army man, mother to 3 pre/teens. I didn't particularly relish staying at home, but felt the family schedule would strain under my employment. I awoke with a sudden, unbeckoned thought. "Sarah, you need weight loss surgery!"
