  1. I'm a lazy pagan... I don't practice nearly as much as I should... I do play WoW, though! Ally on Scarlet Crusade, when I can afford to play. Sent from my SM-G930V using BariatricPal mobile app

  4. Just wanted to say that I have been tracking steps and such as well. However, instead of buying extra stuff to do it with, I simply use an app on my phone. I use one called S Health. I also use Mysugr to keep track of my blood glucose levels. It beats having to lug around extra stuff. I do that naturally at the moment. >,> Sent from my SM-G930V using BariatricPal mobile app

  6. Hi. I had my surgery 3/27/17 and went from 216lbs on the day of surgery to 209 9 days out. I weighed myself yesterday and am concerned about the fact that I have put 2lbs back on. Is that due to being able to eat actual food again for the first time since surgery? Sent from my SM-G930V using BariatricPal mobile app

  10. I'm pretty sure mine doesn't... However, your local welfare might. If you get public assistance at all (I get food stamps/SNAP) they do ask if you have out of pocket medical expenses not paid for by insurance. I'm thinking you can get some kind of reimbursement for it. My care coordinator pointed that out to me yesterday. That could be something to look into? 14. They gave me sponge-on-a-stick to use for the dry mouth. It's not really helping, but at least it's something.

  16. Just got sleeved at 9:55 this morning! It is now 7:23pm. I'm a bit sore, but no real pain, except in my collarbones. Incredibly tired and severe dry-mouth otherwise. Too tired to be excited, otherwise I would be!

  20. My mom wants weekly update pics, so we're doing them on Mondays. I can see a difference already and it's kind of weird to me. Is that a normal reaction?
  21. I've seen a lot of people posting progress pictures and was curious on how important everyone thinks it is to have them? I am sure I'm not the only camera shy person here...
  22. You know... Now that I've had a few days to sleep on it, I've come to realize that I'm not nervous. Excited, yes. Determined, yes. Ready, yes. I'm sure that as the day approaches, the nervousness will set in, but for now the nervousness is nowhere in sight.
  23. So I just got my surgery date! I got for surgery on the 27th at 10am. I am so excited! A little nervous, too, I think...
  24. So as a type 2 diabetic and lactose intolerant on top of it, what is good for me to use for the high protein all liquid diet before surgery?
  25. OMG I can relate to everything I've been reading here. I also have fibromyalgia, type 2 diabetes, possibly GERD, osteoarthritis, PCOS... I've talked to a doctor about this, but not my PCP. I'm going tomorrow after work to talk to my PCP and tell him what I've decided to do. I've had family members tell me my whole life that I could lose the weight if I wanted to. All I have to do is eat better, exercise... You know how it goes. I've been there I've done that, I'm tired of the yo-yoing with the weight. I'm tired of looking in the mirror and not seeing what I feel. It's time for change, and this is my first step. I just wish people could be happy for me. Instead I keep hearing "why are you doing that?", "why do you need that?", "you could do it on your own". But clearly I can't I've tried. So far I've had my initial consult, I've seen the psychiatrist, I've had my pulmonary test, and I'm going for my sleep study next month. I don't see this happening before the end of the year, however that would be wonderful. I keep feeling that I'm getting too old for things, and certain people in my life (my mother) likes to point out that I'm not getting any younger and the older you get the harder it is on you to have children. I know she's not doing it to be malicious but that doesn't change how it feels... Scary enough, I'm not afraid. I'm ready for change. Sent from my XT1096 using the BariatricPal App
  26. I just don't know why they care... I mean, I'm doing what I feel I need to do to be a better me. Sent from my XT1096 using the BariatricPal App
  27. I know that feeling! I tell ppl how much I weigh and I always get 'Where?' I hate looking in the mirror or at photos of myself because I don't feel as heavy as I clearly am. It drives me crazy that I can't see what the mirror shows... Sent from my XT1096 using the BariatricPal App
  28. Hi. I'm brand new to the site. I'm in Chautauqua county; Westfield. I'm pre op with no date currently. I'd love to have a buddy or two to talk to.
