  1. Started by ArixS,

I started my journey March 18,2014 and it's been a great one best decisions I ever made. I stated at 280 and I'm now at 165. This is the first month I haven't lost any weight. My question is does it look like or sound like something that's happen to any of you? Is this he end of my weight loss? Overall I'm very happy and wouldn't bother me. But just thought I'd ask:)

I'M OBSESSED WITH MY COLLARBONES! I'm just shy of being a month out (I make a month on the 14th). I've lost just about 30 pounds so far. I'm basically on losing a pound a day. My collarbones are now showing! My face has gotten noticeably smaller and I've been getting all of the compliments! My aunt even asked if I photoshopped my face on one of my pictures! Yes, I take that as a compliment. My body in general looks smaller, my breasts are pretty much gone with the wind but my booty is still plump! I guess since it's hereditary! I can fit a medium/large now in pants and shirts. Depends on the material. My legs are smaller, stomach smaller, I'm just so happy. 10 pounds…

I've recently decided to join after visiting many times for information along the process leading up to the decision for surgery. Tons of great info and tips. I want to thank you all for that. It all eventually lead me to the decision in September to go through gastric bypass surgery to lose weight but also to try to better my overall health so I can be there as my daughter grows. I am disabled and have several health issues that I hope can get better after weight loss. If not, then maybe after weight loss the dosages of my medicines could be reduced cause they tend to do more damage then good. Sadly, many of them are the only ones that work and I'm allergic to…

Like many I have always had a weight problem. Chubby kid, that grew into a chubby teen and eventually turned into a morbidly obese adult. The one thing different is I always thought I was cute. I was't ashamed of my curves and had an active and happy social life. However in my 40's things started to change. I got uterine cancer and was told that excess weight could put me in a line for a recurrence. I would diet on and off, losing and gaining 30 - 50 lbs each time. I was a frequent exercisers but slowly things like walking became more of a challenge. At 45 I had a wake up call. I got a severe bout of facial shingles that completely knocked me on my butt. I'm thankful every day that I finally made the decision to have this surgery. I am down 13 lbs since being sleeved on 11/18/14, and if I only enjoyed the benefits I feel right now, I would be happy! I can walk, dance, and stand for extended periods. I'm doing dishes and cleaning the house, which I haven't been able to do in two years. (Don't worry, I've had a housekeeper part time helping. I haven't been living in filth lol, but I've let her go now and see the housekeeping as part of my fitness regimen. My least favorite part, I may add.) Then out of the blue 6-8wks later I couldn't get even liquids in I really felt I had some thing stuck. After having telephone calls I had 0.2ml removed and was instantly better.the nurse agreed there must have been something stuck. I'm new to this... My name is Chelsea and I'm having gastric bypass surgery on the 29th. I went to support group last night and when I walked into the hospital, it all became so real. This is where this is happening. My life will change here. I'm 330 pounds right now. My goal is 180. I'm only 24 and I can't remember being under a size 14. I'm scared and excited. I'm mad and sad in a bittersweet kind of way. Sad that the girl looking back at me in the mirror, the girl I've forced myself to love no matter what will disappear. Does anyone have any advise for settling the nerves pre op? Thank you!

For lunch I had refried Beans with salsa and yogurt. I was sleeved 11/18. HW 285 SW 266 CW 256 I had no complications and my recuperation has been much easier than I expected. I'm working from home until I am one month out. I still like to take a nap in the afternoon, but I'm walking better and further every day.

Hey everyone just joined the group and am excited to be here! I had gastric bypass on monday and will hopefully be released from the hospital today. I've had to stay longer as i had complications on day one and 2 post opp. I had some pooled blood that only wanted to come up one way trough my mouth! I was vomitting blood for the first 2 days and it was scary! On day 2 surgeons went in to see if it was a leak of some sort, but thankfully it was just left over blood from surgery that my body hadn't absorbed. They sucked out most of it and i have been doing better! Can't wait to go home and take thing by the horns! Anybody else go through something similar post opp?

Well, it's Day 3 of my pre-surgery diet (Protein shakes and no more than 250 calories of greens per day) and I am feeling pretty darn good, considering I have had nothing substantial to eat since Wednesday, December 3rd. The amazing thing - I'm not 'that' hungry. I love that SWLC lets me eat low G.I. veggies as well as the Protein Shakes. This is helping me get through these long days. I'm not prone to headaches, but Deez416 warned me I might get one once I start the pre-op diet, and boy was she right. I've had a constant low grade headache for 2 days. My appetite is also gone, but in a good way. I feel content almost all day without hunger. I never really cared about what I was eating, but I care even less at this point. food is just to meet my Protein requirements and to follow my surgeon's instructions. Now if I would start losing weight, that would be thrilling. I'm just wondering how long this feeling is going to last, It's great right now.

So what is an average calorie intake for u guys? I am struggling. I have cut out sugars, carbs, and starches. and I am finding it very difficult to hit calorie goals. For the most part I am hitting protein goals. I still struggle with my water intake. I pushed myself to hit 700 calories yesterday. And I was down a pound today. But normal days I'm lucky to hit 500. Since my 3 week stall, I'm only down 2 pounds. Putting my total loss at 31 pounds. (Which I'm very pleased with) I just feel like I'm missing something! I want to do this the right way!
