decemeber 2014 sleevers post up

Anyone having gastric sleeve december 2014?

My story

I am 26 from Toledo ohio and I have chosen to have the gastric sleeve because I know it will change my life. I went to my first consult with mercy weight management in sept 2014 I was told paramount advantage(medicaid) would cover with 6 month diet. I had four month diet with my primary care provider so I only had to do 2 months with them. I was approved on 11/13/14 and that has been the best news of my life. I went for my EGD yesterday and I have a hernia. I go to my pre op appointment with my suregon matthrew fourman in a few days and I will ask him his plans for the hernia. In addition, I have my precsription processing through ensure nutrition for Proteins shakes, scar cream, and as and added bonsus I was told I would get free vititmins. Two days ago I bought a month supply of vitimins from vitimin shoppe for 39.00 they are bariatric so I will use them for now until I find out what I can get my insurance to pay for. I started this thread so us december sleevers could track our progess, modivate, and offer advice to one another. Good luck to all!

Prayers going up for you. You're going to be just fine. Save me a seat on three loser's bench ????❤

Oh my gosh! Three more days and I will be sleeved. I am so anxious. Last night was my last night at work till after the New Year. Everyone was giving me hugs and telling me they can't wait to see the "new me" and reassuring me that I will not die on the table! That is my big fear. I know I will be fine after the surgery, its just making it to that point! I cannot wait to get this over with. My mantra....patience grasshopper. Good luck everyone....hope to see you all on the other side of the process!! p.s. prayers are most certainly welcome :)

You'll do fine. Prayers for you. ❤

I am new here and my surgery date is December 15 at 730 AM. I am so nervous and excited at the same time. Maybe it would not be a bad thing to find a buddy since no one I know knows what I am feeling or going through.

I was sleeved in September on the 15th. I had a hernia. Didn't know I had it. No complications! Good luck to all!!!!

Waiting to set a date with the Dr.'s office, but it will be around December 18th.

I was blessed that the six month process and medical approval for surgery (Medicaid) went through so quickly and without any denial hassles.

We should all get on here throughout the month and support each other, we're going through a life changing event this month/holiday season.

Novelist, Wanting to sleep the day away - I understand that feeling completely! You are gonna do great!!! I'll be thinking of you, keep us posted.

Bought all sorts of goodies today. New flavor protein powder, calcium chews & flavored liquid calcium citrate, chewable b complex & biotin (currently taking pills) and I even found liquid black cohosh which I'm totally stoked about. Can't wait to try the new proteins. I bought cinnamon graham cracker, banana marshmallow and vanilla caramel. Hopefully I'll like all of them but luckily my hubby is on liquids too and he's not as picky as me ;)
