I am revising from the Sleeve to Bypass, and after reading how many people still fail with the bypass, I am really afraid I will be one of them. I started out at 250 before my sleeve 15 months ago, and now I am 185. I am 5ft 3in. I still need to lose another 50-60 lbs. I stopped losing after 6 months with my sleeve, and was approved for revision a couple weeks ago. I admit that I lost all motivation after my weight loss with the sleeve came to a halt. I have a really powerful appetite and ZERO willpower, and I am afraid this wont work for me and I will f*** this up too. I already feel pathetic enough, and I'm really hoping that this second surgery will kick my butt into g…

I thought those days are over but here I am fighting with food again. I really need to up my calories to 1000 a day and my Protein to 60-80 but I'm still barely making 800 calories and 60-80 protein. I drink two Protein shakes a day so that's what is currently helping me get that high. The problem is, either it tastes bad or the texture is bothering me. Having to chew the hell out of everything is making me notice texture things that I never noticed before and it's grossing me out. The only things that taste ok to me don't have protein and I NEED the protein. The shakes are bugging me because absolutely everything tastes too sweet now. If I could just eat carbs I…

I don't know why but for some reason, my pouch is not tolerating things very well today at all. About the only thing that it does like is a protein shake. It even complained about yogurt! I have had almost no problems at all with eating and have been very lucky. I don't know, maybe I pushed it too far too fast? At any rate, did anyone else have this problem and if so, how long did it take for it to calm down? Everything I eat today feels like I'm trying to shove a ping pong ball through a balloon!

Good evening everyone just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Doreen I'm 57 and was banded May 4th of 2011. I was 239 when I was approved for the band and 229 the day I was banded. I now weigh 206 . I was 197 at my lightest but my band was giving me trouble so they took out 1/2 cc and I gained 8 lbs back and can't shake it. Saw my surgeon and talked to her about a revision. She agreed and wanted to do the sleeve but the results could be about the same as the band 30 to 60% of weight loss, not from where i am now but from where i started at 239 so I told her I wanted the bypass and she was fine with that. I got my blood work and upper GI in one visit then the nutriti…

My name is Becca. I'm 41 and 281 pounds. I've had moderate success with Weight Watchers and exercise, but the weight always comes back. I'm now "pre" everything - pre-diabetic, pre-hypertensive. It's time for me to take this seriously. I've completed all of the requirements and been cleared by my surgeon. The paperwork was submitted to the insurance company on Monday and they're confident it will be approved. All good, right? Now I'm second guessing everything! I keep feeling guilty that I should be able to do this "on my own" without surgery. Just had a friend start Ideal Protein and lose 10.5 pounds and 4 inches in one week. You get the picture. I have a r…

So I am on the first month of my doctor supervised diet (I was previously told I needed no supervised diet and now apparently I do). I am just getting a little antsy I guess. But I have two insurances (first doesn't cover it, second does) but I only have the second insurance for either 6 months or a year (they never could tell me which one). All of my doctors say there is no reason for them to deny me but I just have to wait. Well, I am scared to death that my insurance is going to lapse before I am able to get all my months in. I know I probably have nothing to worry about but I feel trapped. Ugh, I just needed to get that off of my chest.

Hello fellow teachers, Is everyone back at school by now? The first week is over for me, it was a very hectic, busy week as we settled in the new kindies and adjusted to being full day and dealing with lunches and sleepy kiddies etc. :-) Our lunch time is only 50 minutes and by the time I made sure all kids were safe and accounted for with the lunch supervisor, it was much shorter! That coupled by the higher than summer stress level, twice last week I was unable to eat :-(. Thankfully I was able to drink a shake, hopefully as things get more settled I will get better and making myself calm down and eat slowly. So how was everyone else's first week? I hope you are…

I am two weeks post op today. I have lost a total of 14 lb, but that was as of last wed., so I have stayed the same for 5 days! How is this possible when I am eating well under 1000 calories a day. I am getting right around 60 g of protein per day. I have not been exercising yet though.....is this what a stall is?? I am just so impatient, and now I think I am never gonna get 100+ lb off!

I am 12 days post op, and have followed the rules fairly well up until tonight. I don't know what got into me, but the old me was like, "lets see if you really feel full" because I have a fear my pouch is large due to band bypass conversion...I ate about 1/2 c of Kraft Mac n cheese followed by 5 Pringles, a handful of shredded mozzarella cheese and 3 chessman cookies and milk! Wtf was I thinking.....a no traditional binge, but a binge none the less. I did feel full, and cramps, but no puking or diarrhea. Now I am so afraid I am going to screw this up to and not lose the weight....please just tell me all hope is not lost?!

I am doing pretty good now with the exception of this awful cold I have now. I have to admit that the first 3 days were not as much of a cakewalk as the band surgery.....everyone is different! Now I am sick to death of the Protein shakes and any other fake sweet liquids like Jello, Popsicles, pudding. I cannot wait to add eggs and purées in a few days. Any suggestions on the purée of meat? Does it have to be liquified or just cut up super tiny like in a chicken salad? I don't feel any restriction with the fluids - I cheated tonight and ate a slice of Kraft singles and felt nothing (but happy to chew).....how will I know I am full? My nut. Says to aim for 1/4c per …

I am considering RNY, have questions....My cursor and Enter functions don't work on this sight, so I used spaces. 1. Did you find your long term experience to be a smooth"ish" life? 2. Has dumping ever happened to you in public? 3. Just how bad do you need hour to hour care at home post-op? 4. If so, for how long? 5. I have a desk job that requires getting up and down a lot, as well as a fair amount of walking. How long would I be out of work? 6. If the GB is a restrictive diet, how is it any different then than the Band I have now? 7. I have had my band for 6 years. Unfilled 1 yr out. My pouch can hold a large meal with little effort and I drink pop th…

Ok, I get that everyone has gas from abdominal surgery. I'd had it before and it sure didn't last this long. I'd like to blame it on fatty food but by far the largest part of my diet is protein shakes right now so that's not it. I am really hoping that I'm not going to go from being fat to being a permanent gas bag lol. Yuck!

I am 1 week post op and don't know what to do with myself. I am depressed I guess - liquids suck-, but also my whole routine is changing....so much of my life revolved around food. Stopping at chick fil a every morning for a biscuit and coke is what I did. Today I stopped by for a water. Seriously. I couldn't pass up the drive thru and had to get a water! My tummy is not hungry - not at all, but my head , my head will play games with me all day long making me think I need this or that. I have to be stronger than those thoughts!

WHAT IS TOURIST VISA TO VIETNAM visa vietnam online Processing a visa application takes five working days in Bangkok ( two days for an express visa), 5 days in Malaysia, five to 10 days in Hongkong and 10 working days in Taiwan.
