My daughter was operated on April 9th 2014.I was told that she went into cardiac arrest (after the fact). The entire surgery was a cover up, These doctors are crooks and will drug you with anesthesia far beyond what you should have. They butchered my daughter and she is now on life support. Had I not had her transferred to the United States I am sure she would have died in Mexico. She is on life support in Chula Vista as we speak. I am looking for others that know this man is a but…

Hi. I am almost three months post out. For the most part I can get my fluids in and my Proteins, but I have had hardly no veggies or fruits. There just isn't room in my tiny tummy. But I've very constipated even with taking colace. Nurse told me today to add Metamucil. Any recommendations on how to start adding vegetables into my day? Please no pinto or black Beans (too much gas)! I am tempted to buy a nutri bullet and to make shakes/smoothies and add unflavored Protein to it. Thanks!!

For the pass few years my weight has been up and down. I've tried every diet, spent $1000's on gym memberships, diet pills and anything else that I thought would help me lose the weight. I have sizes 10 to 20 clothes to select from and it seems I may be moving up a size. My job requires me to dress business casual, but being a big girl, I spend more just to feel comfortable and look nice. I've have had people come and say, you getting a little thick but you still cute. It's funny that some people think overweight people are suppose to be unattractive. I just say thanks and keep it moving. Glad I don't have a self esteem issue or else I would have given up. Nov. 26, 201…

I am 3 days post op. Doing well. Slight discomfort. Had more gas released today and my first BM!! I don't really know who much I should be drinking. But I am not making my self sick. I am drinking water, boost, broth, and eating jello. I ate 3 spoons of yougurt. Then realized I was suppose to have that. I have not vomited. Thank goodness. How has your process been. Any April 14th sleevers out there?

I want/need to lose 60lbs, but absolutely no more than that. Is it possible to stop the weight loss? I am planning on Dr. Alvarez in Mexico. I realize I put this in the wrong section. Sorry! I had my Pre op appointment yesterday and il'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. All the info about risks and complications has me freaked out! I know they have to o over it all, but geez, talk about scary!! My two week liquid diet starts today. It consists of three Protein shakes per day. That's it!! Only decaf tea, coffee, Crystal Light, or Water between meals. I did buy some sugar free popsicles and Jello because I know they are virtually calorie free and still considered liquid. I'm not trying to complain, but as I said, just feeling overwhelmed. Words of comfort or advice through this phase are greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Im new to this group. My mother told me to try it after hearing great things about it from a coworker. I'm having surgery in 2 days! I started my pre-op liquid diet this morning. I'm getting a little more nervous as the surgery approaches, mostly because I've never had a major surgery before. I'm sure everything will be fine though. I've done all the research and I know how a lot of people have felt after surgery, but I'm sure I will be in for a rude awakening afterward. Lol. But anyways, I just thought I would introduce myself and I can't wait for my journey to a healthier me to begin!!

Today is my third day post-op. On the day of surgery I was in surgery by 8am and I don't remember much until about 1pm when I was already in my room. Anesthesia really knocks me out as well as the morphine. I was so out of it that during my first two walks the nurse kept telling me to open my eyes and to wake up. After that I stopped pressing the morphine button because it made it so hard for me to wake up and walk. After walking I would get pain in my shoulder so I would get the hot compress and it helped so much. The only part that really hurt was getting in and out of the bed it made the whole left side of my belly hurt like hell. Throughout the night I was walk…

I also kept over filling myself with the liquid coz I'm still trying to learn when to stop but feel like my body gives me mixed signals.... Only time I realise iv had too much is when the pain and discomfort starts. I have been successful with diets in the past and have lost a significant amount of weigh but have always gained it back plus more should I be honest on this paperwork? I don't want to write the wrong thing and get denied. I don't want them to feel that I'm just being lazy now and don't want to do the other stuff again!

I have tried all types of diets and was able to lose weight but I was never able to keep it off. After doing some research, I decided that weight loss surgery was the best option for me. I went for my initial consultation with Dr. Yatco at Lenox Hill Hospital on January 31st. We decided together that the gastric sleeve would be the best option for me. Now I am just dealing with all the requirements for my insurance (and there are a lot). I am hoping to schedule my surgery for late May, early June. My doctor recommended this f…

I'm amazed at how easy this process was. I was banded on 4/11/14. This, was after a four year decision process encouraged on by continued weight gain and insurance cooperation. I did a one week pre-op Adkins diet which provided positive results but I know I could not have done that one for long. I need variety. The surgery was minimally evasive which was plus. I was in by 6am and out by noon. This would include registration, waiting, surgical prep, waiting, visit from the anesthesiologist, chaplain (prayer is always good before surgery) and doctor. A bit nauseas post op, but a shot took care of that and knocked me out again. Then home to sleep it off. Went out th…

He stuck me twice, to no avail and then told me there was too much inflammation to do the fill. He told me to come back in two weeks. He didn't order an X-ray, and he didn't say anything about my port being flipped. Anyone else experience anything like this? If so, what were your results?
