Surgery on tuesday the 15th!

Im new to this group. My mother told me to try it after hearing great things about it from a coworker. I'm having surgery in 2 days! I started my pre-op liquid diet this morning. I'm getting a little more nervous as the surgery approaches, mostly because I've never had a major surgery before. I'm sure everything will be fine though. I've done all the research and I know how a lot of people have felt after surgery, but I'm sure I will be in for a rude awakening afterward. Lol. But anyways, I just thought I would introduce myself and I can't wait for my journey to a healthier me to begin!!

Hey, I have surgery tomorrow, so scared and excited all at the same time!!! Best of luck!

Let me know how it goes!! Good luck :) how exciting!!

It will be 10 times easier than you expect. One night in hospital, 1 dose of pain meds at home, and shopping several hours at the mall about 4 days later. I felt fabulous and still do!

2 days post op! And I'm feeling alright. The gas was and still is the biggest issue with me. But I'm hangin in there. I had a 2 hour drive home that wasn't the most comfortable yesterday either. Can't wait to recover and start to get some results. The only thing I'm afraid of is drinking water and protein shakes. I don't want to overdo it but I don't want to get dehydrated. Any tips?

I was sleeved on the 15th too. Hope to be discharged today. It eas my first surgery ever, as well. The gas was the hardest part for me. Pain every time I drank but it's better today. I'm glad I did this and look forward to hearing more about your recovery.

My tip is SIP all day!! Once you finish your protein shake get you a big thing of water and sip on it all day....
