hi all, i am really new to this!! i am really desperate to know if anyone has had a gastric band fitted in Beligum by Dr chris de bruyne?? if so was it ok. thing is i have made up my mind that i am definitely having a gastric band, just need to know if its a good idea to travel to Belgium to possibly make the operation a little more affordable (as money is tight) or weather to wait and have it done in the uk when we can afford it. anyone that can give me some advice or there own experience would be kindly received

Hi everyone! Its official, i booked my flight today and will be getting my band to sleeve revision on feb 10th with Dr Kelly! i am soooo excited, but im also very nervous. im doing this all by myself and im praying that there will be someone else there on or around the same time as me. also, if anyone has a list of things to buy before surgery and a list of things i should take with me that would be great. i want to send a big thank you to everyone on this site. i have learned so much and appreciate all the support and suggestions during the last couple of months. cant waith to hear from all of you! shaundra

Hi guys I am new to this forum I have been reading some of your advice very helpful !! thanks i 'm having my OP on the 25th of february very excited but scared at the same time. Is anyone scheduled on the same day? I'm from london i'll be travelling with husband and daughter on the eurostar. I will start my low calorie diet tomorrow for about 1 week then go on a liquid diet in the last 2 weeks prior OP, I am not sure what I should be doing to be honest , Any advice on the pre op and post op diet are welcome. Dr. Daniel Fang is my surgeon for the Lap Band. I have had consults with him and I found him to be caring and professional. He made sure whatever questions I had were answered and I can't wait for him to be with me in the operating room!!!

I am scheduled to go in for the Super Sleeve in 4 days (YEA!!) and I want to know if anyone else is going then.

So, the original plan was to go to Dr. Ramos Kelly with my sis which fell through. I was going to wait for her to get some things together and then go, but Capt (my husband) offered to pay the diff b/t Dr. RK and Aceves if I wanted to go to him. Well, um, yeah! So, I am officially scheduled!

I think I will go with Dr.feiz in Beverly hills has any one use him...

Not lost any weight Chest Pain galore, burping and vomiting. Any good healthy food comes back up. sugar and garbage stays down. Banded 9-9-10 . Anyone else care to share

I am looking for a surgeon for the sleeve in central Ohio. I'm fine with traveling a few hours in any direction to get someone who comes highly recommended not only as a surgeon but for their program. Obviously, since I would be long distance I'd need a program that's flexible with "distance learning". Anyone with recommendations from Ohio, Pittsburgh, Detroit, I've love to hear. Thanks.

well here i am entering wk 4 of post op it consist of soft foods i'm kinda disappointed i got on the scale and instead of losing more weight i actually gained 10 pds, i'm just feeling so hungry all day, if anyone is or went thru this problem please respond and give me some hope i know its just the begining i need help

Need to know if anybody has any information or advice on this topic... O.K., so my surgery is next week on the 20th with Dr. Ramos Kelly. I am so excited! However, even though I expidited and overnighted my passports they have not arrived yet and neither has my mother's. We still have 7 days for them to arrive. However, my coordinator Sandy Johnston, assures me I can still get back and forth with a birth certificate and driver's license. She says she had done it many times.

I saw Dr. Billy for the first time. What a great doctor! He answered so many questioned and gave me so many good tips. I was going to go down to TJ to see Dr Lopez but when I found out an upper GI costs as much down there as it does here. (I am without insurance of any kind) I would be a fool to ever go back to TJ. I understand that this is a long shot, but has anyone had/heard of anyone who had a Lap-band done in Russia? I live in Canada, but I am originally from Russia and have family there, so this is a very viable option for me , as language barrier is not a concern, the cost is much less, and I'd have relatives helping me out through the post-op period. I've located a clinic that performs these surgeries, but I'm hoping that I could find someone who can share their experience.

Does Hospital INT have WiFi in the rooms? I am scheduled to be there with Dr. Rod on Jan 22. I plan to Skype or Oovoo with my husband. Also, do the phone work well?

I 'm real pleased with Dr. Shin. I stayed in the hospital overnight (Women and Children's) and have had no major problems. It took me a long time to get approved (ended up changing insurances, which did the trick) but it was worth the wait. I'd recommend him to anyone.

I had surgery about 10 months ago, I have not lost any weight and now I am having pain in my left upper back, also I am belching a whole lot. And have to throw up to get relief sometimes. I can't go back to the doctor that did the surgery right now, because I no longer have insurance. Is anyone having this problem, or have any idea why this could be happening.

I was banded by Dr. Adam Glasgow, son of Dr. Arthur Glasgow, but have seen Dr. Arthur Glasgow a few times when Dr. Adam Glasgow wasn't available. He is great! He's experienced, kind, gentle, and caring. Their office staff is great too! They genuinely care for their patients and their success with their LapBands. Has anyone used Dr Dean Mc Daniel in Victoria, TX to get Sleeved? This is the doctor that I am seeing right now. He suggested the sleeve for me. I'm just looking for reviews on him.....a little reassurance for me. He seems to know what he is doing and is very nice. So is his staff!

I had Lapband surgery on 9/4/08 with Dr. Neil Floch @ Norwalk Hospital. He is a wonderful surgeon. He took his time with me in the weeks leading up to surgery making sure I understood everything. He was patient and understanding when I got cold feet and postponed my surgery for the summer. There was never any pressure at all. His office staff was great and his bedside manner is fantastic. I felt very well cared for and never felt like I was bothering them with my questions or concerns. Dr. Mueller completed my Lap-Band yesterday and it was such a smooth experience. My pain is well controlled with the medication, I am walking around my property up here in Pine Valley, things are going well.

How long is the process with medicaid to complete the approval for surgery??..I know that it's long process but how long is long?? Texas

This is an awesome Doctor. He is very caring and does his best to make you feel special :puke: I moved and have to use another doctor in California for my fills and he is VERY much the opposite. I wish I could have packed up Dr. Sufficool and took him with me. It is very hard to find a doctor this nice and helpful. Also my surgery went without a hitch.. My ex roomate / and three coworkers have all had this surgery with the doctor with no complications. The man knows what he's doing.

Hi All, Just wondering if anyone has experience with Dr. Philippe Quilici out of Burbank, Ca? I went to the consultation and they told me that he was one of the best doctors in California and I even spoke to patients in the waiting room waiting for a fill who said they loved him. The feeling I got from his office staff was that they were pretty busy and wouldnt start working on my paperwork until I had my psych eval.... I was just curious to see if anyone else on here has used him for their surgery?? Thanks, Stacy

I am just starting my journey to lap band surgery and would like to know the following: Has anyone used Beverly Hills Physicians (that is the group name)? If your insurance gave you authorization, how much was the out of pocket expense and do they work with you on that? From start to actual surgery, how long is the process? I haven't necessarily talked to my surgeon yet about doing a single incision.....not sure if he does. But has anyone got a single incision VSG in Michigan? What surgeon did you use?
