  2. I was banding on 4/5/11 and went through www.westernbariatric.com Dr. Krahn is an amazing dr!!! There were no hidden fees or out of pocket expenses, the only thing I had to pay were my copays. I went through an HMO insurance and though it took me nearly 18 months to finally get banded, it was well worth the wait. From what I have heard and read, Dr. Krahn is the best dr. around. He actually fixes patients who were banded by other drs and needed to get their fixed :-) So I can honestly say he's the best! Good Luck on your quest! Jenn Banded 4/5/11
  3. Ok, my surgery is tomorrow morning and I am on the final stretch of the Clear liquids diet of 48 hours. My question is, I'm sooo hungry for food right now and I know I can't eat anything, but is egg drop Soup ok for the clear liquids or no? I'm just tired of drinking Isopure RTD! Help please :-) Jenn Surgery 4/5/11 Starting/Current/Goal 265/248/170
  4. What about insurance? All I have had to pay is my copays at the drs. office when I go. I'm pretty sure I won't have to pay anything on the day of surgery either, or if I do, it will only be my deductible which is like $150 for surgeries. You should look into it! Surgery is on the way, just waiting for the approval from insurance! :-)
  5. That's awesome! So excited for you, let me know how it goes :-)
  6. I'm new to this site, but I have been on the path to getting the lap band for almost a year and a half now! I just went to my Dr. today and they were finally able to submit to insurance for approval! I had to wait to loose 14 pounds of excess weight (insurance requirement) in addition to all the other hoops I had to jump through. I have Anthem Blue Cross HMO (California) and my Dr. told me we should know within 2 weeks. After that, I have to take a 3 hour class provided by my Dr, the nurse practitioner and the dietician! I will keep everyone updated on my progress, hopefully in the next month I will have the surgery :-) Thanks - Jenn
