Has anyone used Dr Dean Mc Daniel in Victoria, TX to get Sleeved? This is the doctor that I am seeing right now. He suggested the sleeve for me. I'm just looking for reviews on him.....a little reassurance for me. He seems to know what he is doing and is very nice. So is his staff!

''I am sorry, I haven't been on the forum in a while and didn't see your post. I had my sleeve done with Dr. McDaniel in March with no problems. Have you had your surgery done yet?

No but I am set for January 11th!! THANK YOU SO MUCH for the reply. I'm excited and nervous if you know what I mean! LOL I'm glad to hear all went GOOD with no problems. I've only talked to the doctor once. I go back to see him on Jan 6th. Other then that I've talked to Vicki a lot!

It went great! Today has been a hard day but it is the 3rd day and you are always more sore on the 3rd day. I got to come home early yesterday. I did my leak test and we booked it out of there! LOL Yesterday I slept a lot but today I stayed up...sitting up...as much as I could. Drinking my 1oz every 15 minutes. Trying to get ride of the gas pressure. I think that is what hurt the most!

THANKS for asking! I hope you are still doing good. I've read the 6th day is a GREAT day! I know each day will be better!

      Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
