Had Gastric Sleeve on 8/23. Started out at 287, now 224. So things are moving along great. I use BariatricPAL Vitamin Patch. I did stop take the Ferrcon (Iron Supplement) due to constipation. For the past two days - I've woken up with what I thought was simple congestion - but when I blew my nose - it was ALL blood. (no - I did not pick my nose ;)). Bright Pink mixed with Dark Red. The odd part, its only one nostril. Is it possible that this is just a cut or tear or something related to an iron deficiency or what have you?

is there anyone else that is having a problem not getting full. I feel like I am starving all the time I am constantly snacking to try to feel full. I think the surgeon made a mistake and left my stomach in. I am 5 weeks post op I snack on cheddar cheese and beef jerky all day but am still starving by end of day. I have learned to stay away from chips because I can eat a whole bag and not realize it. I have a friend that had same surgery and he said he has same problem with chips.

Hello everyone, I’m new to the group. I have GB on 10/10/17. Yesterday I got this pain on the left lower side of the abdomen. Nothing seems to dull the pain. Just curious to see if anyone else has had this problem. Thank you in advance.

Hey everyone! I'm exactly two months post op and down 56lbs I haven't had any trouble with eating or drinking and have been slowly going at my own pace, but I can essentially eat anything with no side effects Anyway, considering my bounce back, I feel like I can easily manage a couple drinks and I'm absolutely dying to go out and relax. I thought it would take 6 months, but I honestly can't see how 4 months from now anything would be different. I'm healed and cleared for all foods, so if I feel ready isn't that enough of a reason to try? So, when did everyone have their first drink after their op? No negative comments please (: Sent from my LG-H850 using BariatricPal mob…

Had RNY yesterday morning and am so excited to feel normal. The doctor had to do some extra work because of my anatomy, but I don’t know what that means other excruciating pain. I have an insanely high pain tolerance...gave birth naturally once, had had multiple large kidneys stones and managed through it. This is truly the worst pain I’ve ever experienced. I never say my pain is a 10, but it was for several hours. It’s finally manageable at 6-8 as long as I stay on top of it with morphine every 2 hours. Hopefully I can wean that down soon. Have an upper gi in a few hours and once that’s clear I can start on the every 30 minutes ounce of clear liquid. Praying that doesn’…

Hello. I had surgery 10/9/17. I'm 4 days out today. Everyday my pain is getting less and less. But I don't find myself being hungry. I sip my water all day and almost got in my 60 oz today. I'm working on getting in my two protein shakes a day too. So far it's been about1 1/2. How has everyone else been doing in their first week after being sleeved? I think I will try a cream soup tonight for dinner. Fingers crossed it stays down. So far I haven't had gas pain or nausea. I've also been getting up to walk as much as possible. I do find myself getting tired faster tho

I have some fear about my plane ride home after surgery. I will be traveling from Mexico to Connecticut and an extra 2 hour car ride home, @3 days Post-Op. Anyone out there traveled far? How did you come with any pain, oozing, walking to prevent clots, keeping hydrated? Thank you for your feedback.

I'm curious when most people felt well enough to go to a show? I'm trying to plan for my surgery in late nov and between holidays and kids' events I'm really struggling. Do you think I will be able to sit through my daughter's ballet recital 7 days out? Maybe 10 days out? Will o be miserable on xmas if it's 10days post op. I do have young children so want to enjoy it with them. TIA

I'm not saying I'm having second thoughts, BUT I'm losing quite a bit of weight with this tortuous liquid diet. I love food, so I know this wouldn't work long-term for me; however, what does research say about liquid diets? I've never been on one before and no other diets have worked after the first 20 pounds. Today, I'm down 19 pounds from the start of the diet, and 23 pounds from my heaviest. I can't help but wonder. Thanks for any information you can share.

Well I’m not losing fast AT all. After a week stalled I lost on the one month mark, the scale moved 1 lb. I don’t know how to change my start date weight and current weight in my profile. But here is a pic 4 days post op and then yesterday at a month but only lost 11lbs since surgery but lost 20 before so 31 total. Hoping next month is better.

I have a bunch of questions to ask my surgeon before surgery (scheduled for November 6) but I’m wondering if I’m forgetting to ask something important. Are there any surgery or recovery- specific questions you wish you had asked your surgeon? Or maybe somebody could direct me to a specific post for some suggestions? Thanks for any help!

Hello, I had the sleeve procedure almost 3 months ago. I had a lower BMI but decided to do the procedure because of high blood pressure and diabetes. My BP has been up and down, but it seems to be going up some days- not to the point of before surgery. I must admit I stress a lot. I just started checking the morning blood levels - last 3 days, and they had ranged from 60s to 140s. Has anyone experienced this? Has any of the conditions gone into remission? If yes, how long did it take? Thank you.

I was sleeved on September 26th. Today marks 3 weeks and my weight loss has stalled. I haven’t lost a single pound in a few days. Not sure if this is normal or if I’m doing something wrong. Who else stalled around 3 weeks?

I am 5 weeks post op, and I’ve been getting terrible headaches daily. Most days I wake up in the morning with a headache, and then have started getting them during the day now too. Does anyone else have this problem? If so what do you do for it? I don’t want to have to keep taking Tylenol every day.

Has anyone experienced this? I don't know what else to eat/do! I'm starting to worry myself that I'm going to get malnourished and sick because I'm no having my protein! My weight is still the same as of last WK 237! I'm taking my pills and drinking my water but I'm feeling hopeless! Your inputs are greatly appreciate!

I had my sleeve surgery 2 weeks ago. Today was the first day that I could have pureed foods. I ate about a cup of bean mash with cheese and a dollop of sour cream, and I didn't feel any restriction in my stomach. Is this unusual? It makes me a bit concerned that it was so easy to eat that much.

I just graduated to soft foods where I was assured I would feel restricted. My husband cooked me my first soft meal, 2 scrambled eggs. I ate both and still don't feel full. [emoji17] [emoji17] [emoji17] Sent from my SM-G920W8 using BariatricPal mobile app

Since surgery I've only lost 1 pound a week and I'm 106 days out (a little over 3 months). I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I'm losing hope and faith and I've been finding it hard to stay with the diet because of my little loss. I've lost about 50 and I'm happy about that is just that a majority of it was the first 2 weeks and very little after that Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

Hey, so I had my surgery 4 days ago and I'm realising that my booty is slowly dissapearing. I knew this would be the case because when I was loosing weight working out I noticed the first place id loose fat from is my butt. I was just wondering if anyone has any tips on still being able to keep some of that. If not then I guess itll all be about intense gyming in a few months time.

My weight loss seems to be kinda slow since post op... I've lost 17 pounds since surgery on 9/11/17, and lost 14 pounds prior to surgery, for a total of 31 pounds since 8/25. But today I went to Walmart and figured I'd try on some jeans. I have not worn jeans in almost a year. Much to my surprise, I was able to get into a size I have not been able to get into in years. Then when I did the math in jean sizes, I've dropped from a size 16/18 to a size 10!! I just couldn't believe it!! This road is not easy, but seeing the inches coming off by being able to wear clothes I haven't been in was a nice reward. So, sticking with this is so worth it!! Best of luck to everyone out …

Anyone experienced being cold alot after surgery? I'm naturally hot natured and now I'm cold all the time. Feeling sad that I'm bored, lonely, and feeling like I missed my best friend. I guess I'm realizing I was a foodie before surgery and now I need to fill the void without shopping and eating. I need a new hobby. Just sharing my feelings..

I use to frequent the site for a lot of support pre-op and shortly for post op. This is a place where I felt VERY comfortable talking, asking questions and to seek advice. 2 years post op I have slow started the road back to my old self. I find myself taking a couple extra cookies when I bake for my kids, having an extra ... QUITE a few extra bites of dinner regardless of how full I am. Regretting it as I do it, but it tastes so good. I have not gained any of the weight back, except a couple pounds which is normal fluctuation of weight for me. Between 149 and 153, nothing big. I know I need to get my **** back together because I will NOT go back to …

So pre surgery and until yesterday (5 days post) I have been using muscle good labs Isolate mixed with cashew milk its great protein but its a mix and a bit flat on the flavor. My Doctors gives suggested recipes for shakes but all they use is Premier from cost co so I say what the heck I am in need of a switch a roo and hubby picks up a case of every flavor ( he really is the best) So yesterday I make the recipe as written and they say to blend it which causes all kinds of foam and I drank it any way I know I know dumb idea really bad gas felt awful ended up missing all my numbers yesterday. I'm almost done, im on day 11 but this last week has been very taxing mentally. Post op you can't do much physically and are supposed to stay home and recover. What did most of us do when we sat home ? We ate. That's how we all got here. So strictly liquids for 2 weeks after surgery is so tough. It's worth it too see the scale keep going down but I can't wait to finally get back to regular healthy food I was eating in the months leading up to my surgery on Oct 5th. How did everybody else handle the liquid regime ? Any tips or something too look forward too would be great to hear. As 89hduof now my Starting Weight=280 Surgery Weight=245 Current =232 Goal 180.
