Hello everyone. after 1 year of hiatus I called my doctors office to make an appointment and I found out she is no longer with the Mercy Health System in Harvard IL. Is there any other patients of Dr. McClellan out there or know where she went? If I dont find her sounds like i will have to find a new doctor. (not cool) Thanks, Juan

I have been wanting to get the lapband surgery but I just found out today from my insurance but I have to jump through hoops and wait for 6 months before I'm able to get my band.

Through the search on this site, I have found 3 different groups/doctors in my area. The first is Bariatric/Comprehensive Weight Management through Kaleida Health Care at Buffalo General Hospital, with Dr. Posner and Dr. Hoffman. The second is Synergy Bariatrics with Dr. Caruana, and the third is Buffalo Minimally Invasive Weight Loss Surgical Solutions with Dr. Pham. I would love any and all opinions! Thanks!

My dr. is dr. Dyas at mobile infirmary. Have any of you had your surgery done by him? Scared I'm 60 with high blood pressure had a stint put in 2007 And have thyroid problem 5ft 4 245lbs not very active ad I seem not to have a high energy level and depression. I'm not a pity party person. So I'm really hoping loosing this weight will give Mr back an active life. I love to walk but out of breathe and knees keep me from doing a whole lot. Can any of you tell me things to do to get in shape for my surgery as I know it will be better for me all the way around if I do. Thanks in advance for all your help

Hello Everyone! I plan on having the VSG at the end of January and I've been deciding between Dr. Ramos Kelly and Dr. Cabrera/Valenzuela. I've only read 2 reviews for the latter doctors and I'm having trouble finding people that have been sleeved by them. Has anyone here used them? If so, did you like them? Did you feel secure with your decision? Any complications? Please share your experience. I would so greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

I will soon be moving to NC for most of the year, and need to transfer my primary bariatric physician to one in North Carolina, preferably in the western part of the state. I've had a difficult time in locating these specialty qualified surgeons in NC. Does anyone have suggestions to point me towards a good bariatric surgeon in NC? My surgeon was Dr. Carlin with Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI. I was originally going through Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, and things just didn't feel right with their office. I'm sure they have wonderful surgeons, it just didn't feel like a right fit for me. A friend of mine informed me that he had the surgery a year before and had already lost 200 lbs and that he loved his surgeon and the whole team. His surgeon was Dr. Carlin as well. I'm so pleased that I changed and went through Henry Ford. Has anyone else here had Dr. Kruger? Met him for all of two minutes in my consultation, and just want to see what other patients have experienced in his care. He seems like a very competent and friendly physician--it was just hard to get to know him very well in under 120 seconds, and he sure didn't get much of a chance to know me! I'm hoping that as surgery gets closer, there will be other opportunities for having a more in-depth discussion. What was your experience?

Has anyone used Dr. Ian Soriano for weight loss surgery other than the band? I had my band done by Dr. Patel in 2009 and lost about 100 pounds. I felt amazing and was living the healthy life I wanted. Then we were blessed with another child! Around the same time Dr. Patel left the practice so I switched to Dr. Soriano. (I like him much better). Anyway, post baby #2 my band is just not working right. We've made adjustments several times and even when it is at my old "sweet spot" number I am not losing. I had planned on going to Dr (Don't want specifics) and there are many reasons I changed my mind. I researched and can only tell you the facts of what I found out and why I changed my mind. My experience was so great, I believe everyone deserves the treatment I received (best treatment in any hospital EVER). I researched other Dr's but these were the 2 I went back and forth with. Just left my surgeons office. Tri State Bariatrics Dr Kwon in Middletown Ny. I am About 6 months post op with LapBand. I've lost 67 pounds. The staff there are great. Very supportive. I have monthly appts now. I have access to nutritionists and psychologist if i needed and weekly support groups. I am so glad i found this group!

Hello everyone! This is my first post, I have decided to undergo the lap band surgery and am trying to decide on where to go. My two front runners are Dr Colbourne at SWLC and Bluewater surgical center. I was very impressed with the followup plan and dietician at Bluewater, however the consultation felt rushed and I didn't even get to meet the surgeon. Makes me wonder if they will deliver on their promises post op. Dr Colbourne was very informative and professional. He answered all my questions and did not make me feel rushed. However I live a few hours away so would not be able to take advantage of onsite nutritionalists. Any feedback from former patients…

Dr. Micheal Feiz is the best. He specializes in all of the procedures. He is the man that teaches the other surgeons in and around Los Angeles the updates, upgrades, and new techniques for surgery. So to have him as your surgeon would be having your pick of the very best. He is a very busy man working 6 days a week to ensure he serves the many locations. Check out the Beverly Hills Physicians today for an office closest to you. I had mine at the encino location on sept 7th 2011 and have already lost 70 lbs. I'm so happy. Oh yeah, and he's a HOTTIE!
