I had to wait 6 month for insurance to pay. During that time I was well educated my staff about lap band. My mother had hers done within 3 weeks being self pay. She hasn't done nearly as well as I have. We are both 4 and a half years out but she is still clueless about what she needs to eat or when she is too tight mostly because her surgeon (different from mine) doesn't have a good education program. who is your insurance with? I am with Tricare and was told the same thing. But, I got mine done in 3. Id love to help you
