My husband and friend want to go to 6flags great America next weekend. I haven't been there since I was probably 16/17. The last time I tried a regular wooden roller coaster at mount Olympus, I got turned away because of my hips, at that time I believe I was a size 28. Before I started the surgery journey I was up to a size 30 and obviously could never fit in a roller coaster. Well, I am now 90 lbs down from that and now in a size 24 pant. If you are anywhere near Grand Rapids (they have patients from all over Michigan, Indiana and Illinois.) This is a great bariatric practice with superior surgeons. I HIGHLY recommend it. I had Dr. Foote who is very skilled. I had no complications, feel great and have lost 31 lbs in 6 weeks. I am 67 years old.

I just had my sleeve done yesterday ! Feeling great. Just a little gas pains that meds have taken care of. In the 16 hours since surgery I have managed to get down 3 Protein shakes with no nausea! I had an appointment with a surgeon a few days ago and I really like him alot, but he has a mandatory post surgery program that isn't covered by insurance and costs over $5000. It's a great plan that includes all follow-up appointment with him and the nutritionist for 5 years post surgery. His theory is if patients prepay for these services they are more likely to follow-up and follow through. They offer accessibility via email, phone, web meetings, and in person. Curious why does apple juice go down better than water??? I can drink apple juice all day long not have any issues but soon as I drink water it seems like it gets stuck or hard for it to go down and I'm only sipping??

All - just need to vent regarding my experience with St. Alexius NewStart in St. Louis MO. I won't go on and on about how they provided me absolutely no customer service. I also won't go on and on about how I basically had to call the different hospitals myself to gain my records or how I had to get my PCP to do the medically necessary letter. I also won't go on about how they never answer my phone calls, or gave me any status reports. I also won't go on about how their NUT was out for 3 weeks and I wasn't told.
