Yep, true results in Dallas. I am pleases with them but you either have to ask tons of questions or do your own research. They gave me a book but that's it. LBT is probably the best resource. Where are you located?

Anyone have firsthand experience with True Results?

True Results Downtown Houston. They are awesome and I'm happy I made that phone call in April...this band is the best thing I could have done for myself! They are very caring and supportive, I don't know of anyone that has gone through them that isn't satisfied with their care.

I'm on the schedule for THIS Friday! How did you do the first few days/weeks?

Good luck! I'm sure everything will go well for you. Who is your surgeon? Mine was Marsden. My first week was kind of tough. I would say many have it better than me and a few had a worse experience. The main reason is I don't think I was realistic before the surgery that there would be real pain/discomfort and a lot of it. Your ab muscles will hurt when you get up, cough, laugh, etc. Keep a pillow handy to hold against your stomach during those times. Nausea was bad for me right after surgery, on the way home, and the morning of the 3rd day. If they didn't give you anti nausea meds ask for them now. You may not experience nausea, but if you do you will need medicine. It really helps. The gas was bad from day 3 to maybe day 7. Walk a lot and use a heating pad. All the tricks you read on LBT really do help. Post any problems or just how you are feeling. It helps to know other people are or have gone through the same thing. After a week, you will (or should) feel like normal again. :)

My surgeon is Marsden as well! I have been going thru as many of the forum questions as possible before Friday. I'm not too worried about the pain. I have an extremely high tolerance, and I've had another laparoscopic procedure before for female stuff, plus two c-sections. Thanks for the tips!

Then you will do just fine with the pain. I never had surgery prior to banding so it was a rude awakening. Probably my biggest fear that first week was vomiting. I didn't want to mess up the band. Thankfully the meds worked and I never threw up.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
