Thrush?
Ok, I haven't had surgery, BUT I have had thrush. I couldn't eat or hardly drink anything for about a week. They had to give me liquid medicine to clear it up. I hope you get it taken care of whatever it may be. I think mine was from a combination of birth control and antibiotics.

What a wonderful day!
So I'm down yet another pound again today!!! What am I doing....uping my water intake and cut out fast food (my downfall). Trying to stay within the 1400 kcal diet my NUT wants and proving to myself although I'm not perfect I am changing my ways! I'm so close to the 10% weight loss they want before surgery!!! I may go over that LOL!

ladies just a suggestion
Lol I loved taking care of people your age in the hospital! Didn't care how they looked as long as their bottom wasn't mooning the nurses station!!! I had surgery a few years ago....lived in pjs and wore a bandana. Probably will do the same this time around as well!

- Three months pre-op and new to this site! :)
More excited than anything- Three months pre-op and new to this site! :)
Welcome!!! I hope to be having surgery sometime in August or Sept as well!!! I started my process in Feb and meet with my surgeon next month.- Feeling REALLY down
I just want to say, you are a beautiful person and just because you don't see many starting at your weight, there are some. Although I many not be where you are, I was headed that way almost 4 years ago. It has taken me 4 years to get 60 lbs off. But, I know that having this surgery will help change my lifestyle. Everyone else has said what I would have said. You will do great and we are all here for you!- The pre-op diet is NOT a punishment ... it's an opportunity.
Thank you for the motivation! Although I have a few months before my pre op diet, I am trying to cut out as much as I can. I have seen a difference in how I am feeling as well. I have lost 20 pounds so far from changing my eating habits since I started meeting with my NUT in Feb. Which means by their standards I only have 10 more to lose for their 10% the ask their patients to lose before surgery. It's also inspiring to see someone that started at my weight when I started all of this that it is possible to get to my first goal of 150 lbs.- exercise..
I have a somewhat physically demanding job. Any thoughts on how to track my exercise for the day at work? I'm on my feet all day, walking, twisting, turning and lifting parts that are anywhere from 3-75 lbs a day.- nurtimed program?
Cool! Hopefully I will only be about a month behind you!! I'm in Indiana. I am going to talk to my NUT this month a little more about what it will be like.- ladies just a suggestion
Well, I grew up on a farm and I am more of a tomboy. It takes me 5 mins to get ready after my shower. Add makeup, damn looking at 15-20 mins.- ladies just a suggestion
I don't wear make up. Makes me look too fake. I will however get my hair cut and my purple highlights before surgery.
