Yup I get thrush from antibiotics. To solve the problem I will either rinse my mouth out with vinegar and this makes it easier to peel up the white stuff or you can take a slower approach and eat some

Thrush would mean a VERY compromised immune system, so I'm voting with the MD. Can you see a medical professional?

Yeah but not today tomorrow i can

I read somewhere that a symptom of serious dehydration is white on the tongue. Maybe that is the issue?

Yes! I had this problem after surgery and it went away on its own after a couple of weeks. I've seen a lot of other people post the same issue over the last year. I wonder why your Dr isn't aware of this?

I was thinking the same thing but i have a really bad taste that wont go away.

I had thrush after surgery my bariatric doc said it was from the antibiotic and having 85% of my stomach removed compromised my immune system. He gave me a mouthwash and I started eating Greek yogurt to rebalance my stomachs PH, yes it is true it generally happens with a compromised or weak immune system but being on that antibiotic and the stomach removal my system was pretty compromised.

And I had a bad taste with a white film on my tongue, before I went and saw my bariatric doc I thought it was dehydration but all my labs were perfect and I looked great.

Oh and I got a yeast infection too...that was awesome. So I also went on diflucan.

Thanks. I think i have one too. So what should do? Go to my pcp?

Yes same thing happen to me and I got a yeast infection as well. I hate yogurt so I just try to drink a lot of water and I put vinegar in my bath water (natural way to cure yeast infection)

Go to your pcp or if you can't I would go to an urgent care or quick care. You need diflucan if you have a yeast infection. If its thrush they give you some crappy mouthwash that doesn't work. Can you eat yogurt yet?

Yes but everything makes me very nauseous i can only drink Water. But im gonna have to try cause i have 4 days without eating anything i only drink water. Im almost 4weeks post op

Is your bariatric surgeon the one who said that wasn't thrush?? Did you tell him you had yeast infection signs to, because usually if you are having thrush symptoms and a yeast infection pops up that usually is thrush. You can try what the other poster said sit in water with vinegar. But for thrush you need a med...
