  1. I am a seasoned sleeve patient. Yesterday I had a endoscopy because of pain in my stomach and uncontrollable reflux/gerd. Doctor told me I have a hiatal hernia with a twisted stomach. We did not have time to discuss this and I have a follow up appointment in a few days. Has anyone here experienced this?? I'm not sure how this happens? I'm not sure how you fix it, again I'm going to talk with my doctor in a few days, but I want to hear if others have had this experience. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  3. Bypass solved everything! I’m the healthiest I have ever been, plus I’m no longer on any type of acid controlling meds. I had reflux so bad that not even 280mg of omeprazole a day coupled with tums would relieve it. The obstruction pain was terrible, that was towards the end.

  5. Yes. I had gastric bypass.
  6. So I had my follow up, he is sending me to the Cleveland clinic. My case is far to complicated. I should add prior to my sleeve I had a band, which was revised once.   8. Thank you so much for your kind words! I started with the treadmill. Then once I was within 50 lbs of goal I started Jillian Michaels 30 day shred, ripped in 30 and Hard Body. I alternate weights with cardio. 20-25 mins a day.
  9. I was a revision patient and I don't think I would of just went to anyone. That is why I chose Dr. Garcia. He is extremely skilled. When you have a revision you need to be careful of leaks. The probability is higher in revision patients. He did a phenomenal job and I am almost a year out. I went to Mi Doctor Hospital. HW 343 SW 258 CW 159. Good luck to you. Surgery Feb. 25, 2013. I also went alone and the staff was great.

    Did you exercise a lot? You look terrific!!Thank you. I started with the treadmill. Then once I was within 50lbs of goal I started Jillian Michaels weight lifting tapes. 30 Day Shred, Ripped in 30 and Hard Body. I mix them up.

  12. I had my surgery February 25, 2013. As of this morning I am 111 lbs down. I had a Lapband in 2006 and had it removed Dec 2011. I was pregnant so I gained 120 of the my 200 lost. My highest weight was 343 in 2006. I love to do Jillian Michaels and Tae Bo. Probably should consider surgery for excess skin but I just can't care about it right now. I thought I would never be thin again. What an amazing year I have had and my husband has been my soul support. God love him!!!!!! HW 343 SW 258 CW 159 Height 5'8

  14. I started exercising as soon as I was cleared by my doctor. So I think 3 weeks out. Just the treadmill. Then once I was within 50 lbs of goal I started lifting weights. I do Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred and Ripped in 30. I have also done Hard Body. I lift every other day. Days off I do kickboxing.
  15. 9 months out. I have restarted the 30 Day Shred. Almost done with my weight loss. I'm so excited. Surgery was Feb 25 2013. HW 343 SW 258 CW 164 I'm losing probably 3-4 lbs a month for the last 2-3 months. But I don't care it's going to come off eventually!!!!! Happy holidays everyone!!!!!

    Thank you. I started out just walking. I did that 7 days a week. At least 20 mins a day. Then once I got to 197, I started lifting weights. Jillian Michaels is a god to me. I started with her 30 day shred, then ripped in 30, then hard body and now back to Ripped in 30. I do one week on of circuit training and cardio and one week off just cardio. I exercise 5-6 days a week. I will be going down to 3-4 days a week. I need to keep it realistic. I'm a mom of 2, I run a household and go to nursing school full time. So exercising 5-6 days a week is not realistic. I started at 270. Surgery was 2/25/13. As of today I'm 168.

  21. Month 7 for me and I am finally at 175 lbs. it's 95 lbs now and size 11 junior jeans!!! 15 lbs to go!! I am almost home!

    I HATE working out!

    I only lost 10lbs but I went down 2 sizes and lost a ton of inches. Especially in my butt and midsection. I had no rest days. I did it 30 days continuously. 10, 10, 10. I did not go to the next level until I could get as close to Natalie as I could. I still can't do a military push up. But I did as advanced as I could before I moved on.

    I HATE working out!

    Op I hated working out too. I lost my first 73lbs just walking on the treadmill. Attached is my 30 day shred. No gym! No crazy equipment. I was on my last 40lbs also. 20 mins a day. This was 30 days, 20 mins a day. All I needed was hand weights. 9 bucks at Walmart. I wouldn't join a gym if you paid me:-) that's just my opinion!
