  2. I'm not sure where to put this. I was wondering if anyone who has already had their surgery done in Mexico been back for plastic surgery? If so would you mind sharing your story with me?
  3. Hi! I haven't been on here in awhile, but I had my surgery with Dr. Ponce De Leon on June 10th! No real complaints here! I have pics from the trip on my FB if you want to see them. I was a nervous wreck the whole time, but it was all fine and I'm down 75 lbs now. I'm here if you have any questions. 2 of my friends used Dr. Ponce also. Is trish your coordinator?
  4. I completely understand. I did too!!!! Surprised I didn't have a heart attack! I just sent u a private msg. Try to think of it as a vacation.
  5. Oh and I thought they told me to take the steri strips off in the shower but that's not what they meant. They were trying to say its ok if one came off in the shower. So don't do that either! Lol
  6. I was too! It's ok. I'm sure I had a breathing tube not sure about at cath. No foley and yes did have a drain! The drain was the worst part for me. Just remember to get up every hour and walk on ur plane ride home. I got a blood clot the day after I got home and had to go back in the hospital here for 4 more days and nights!!! :-(
  7. Oh yay! Well that's good. :-) I hope she has eased ur fears a little bit.
  8. I got the same thing in the beginning. It was very frustrating. But once we got there she explained herself a little more. I'll see what i can do about getting her to contact you.

  10. I remember that feeling!!!! Honestly I didn't relax until I got back home and realized that I had a good trip. I do think Trish made all the difference though. I couldn't have even navigated the city without her. I'm 2 months post op as of yesterday. :-) Feel free to ask any questions to eas ur fears. :-)
  11. Yes. I tried to do 2 weeks but just couldn't! I kept cheating :'( ... you have to adhere to the 3 day yogurt and water only though! No cheating. It about killed me!!!!!! I'm not going to lie, it was rough. I also didn't realize until the last second that u can't eat any yogurt with anything in it! Not even tiny seeds. That's hard to find!
  12. Kind of, but I chose not to go bc it's going to cost between $150 to $650 just for the visit and that's not counting any blood work etc. My pcp (primary care physician) can do the same blood work and it's covered by my insurance.

  14. Oh yes! That's probably what it is. Dr. P does use the blue dye test before the swallow study.
