Hi All, I am wondering how everyone else is dealing with their rings and sizing. I am about half way to goal and my wedding band has gotten real loose. I don't want to get it sized because I am hoping to lose anymore. I don't want to put tape on it or stop wearing it what all do you do? Nancy

I haven't seen this addressed, but maybe I've overlooked it. Ever since my surgery last week, I've noticed an odor. Let me be specific, and sorry if it's TMI, but when I sit down on the toilet, there is a smell wafting from me that I've never smelled before. I'm showering and cleaning all parts of me, so it's not from poor hygiene. Did anyone else experience this?

Okay... now this really is the FIRST time this has ever happened to me so I'm a little distraught over here!! OMG... I'm so discouraged - and I'm ALREADY starting to think about having my ta-ta's re-inflated. It looks weird on me!! I hate it!! Before surgery I was wearing a 40D. Ok, I can now wear Victoria Secret's bras (yay me!) -- BUT, I have NO idea which bras are good, etc. I need some recommendations! I am a 38 D right now (my 42 DDs are huge on me) -- basically I need my girls to go up and together I would really appreciate any input because I have to order online (yep, sucks) -- so any guidance would be HIGHLY appreciated

So has anyone's cycle been REALLY irregular since being banded? I haven't had a period since Easter. And I'm definately not pregnant, I actually went to the doctor tday for a test, it was negative. They did a pap and blood work.. But I'm really hoping that it's just the weightloss and maybe stress. But I have never been this late before. Anyone have a similar problem??

I am 7 weeks out and every time that my husband and I have sex I get sick to my stomach, I dont throw up cause I havent throwed up yet, I get that quizy feeling and mouth watering like im going to throw up, I dont know if its the motions with my stomach moving around or what but I have noticed if I take a drive I will sometimes get sick to my stomach also. So my husband and I both got banded about 5 weeks ago. Pre-surgery to say I had a strong sex drive would be putting it mildly. However, since surgery I just don't really care so much. Has anyone else experienced this? Are my hormones out of whack from the sudden weightloss?

Ok. So, I've been wanting to ask this but didn't quote know how. I still don't but...here it goes. Obviously, I am fat. I have all the parts of a big girl including the pouch above my girlie parts. I have come to terms with the fact that my belly will hang be ause it's so big. For those who have lost a significant amount: does this pouch just...deflate? I have to share the fairly hilarious thing one of my coworkers said to me. I have been very open about the fact that I am planning to have this surgery and I finally got a date of Feb 23. When I told my coworker that, she says, "Just think, soon you'll look like Kim Kardashian." I said that I hoped I looked like her, but without the enormous butt. Hi everyone, I don't post much on the site, but I need to vent and rant for just a second. I'm devastated because I finally worked up the nerves to ask this cute guy at work if he wanted to go to lunch, and he replied that today wouldn't work because he was really busy. the 2 lumps that used to be on my chest, any idea where they might have gone???? Seriously I am about 68 pounds done from Jan of 2010 and one month post op and suddenly I have lost my breasts! I look down and all I see is baggy shirt material where they used to be. I am not sure how I feel about that.

I want to delete this post because I guess I am the only one with this issue and there is no need to keep it up. How do you delete a post? After working out on the eliptical for 20 min I get on the stationary bike for another 20 min. Around 10 min in on the bike I start to get really horny!! Oh my!!! I almost came at the freaking gym!! Blushing!!! I had to slow down because I was starting to make noises!! LMBO!!!! It only happens after I get off the eliptical but if I start out on the bike I am good. Is this normal? My husband and I have been married for two years. We have been together since 2005. We have always had a up and down relationship but for the most part he has always supported me in any choices I have ever made. We have discussed me getting the band and my weight loss he is also over weight and I tried to get him to go through this with me. So I have PCOS - and have since I was 17years old. I have never had regular periods, at most 1 a year, and that one was "normal". So to my suprise, I started my period - which wouldn't have been such a big deal, but it's been going on now for 5 weeks!!!! KILL ME NOW... I am wearing a size 20 currently, but can't find jeans that actually fit decently. I guess I'm shaped wrong. I definitely don't have an hourglass shape like most plus size jeans are meant to fit. I have a huge waist, so when I find jeans that actually fit well in the waist, my butt and legs are swimming. I look just as sloppy as in my big ol' 26s from pre-op. I wish I could lose weight in my waist, but it's been slow going there. Does anyone know of any brand/cut of jeans that are a little more forgiving in the waist? Or maybe there's another kind of pants I can wear? I have usually worn Lane Bryant clothes, and they are just not fitting me right at all when I tried them …

Bret Michaels was putting on a show down here this past weekend. He stopped by our base and did a meet & greet with military members and families. It was very nostalgic as the Poison album "Flesh and Blood" was the first cassette I ever bought. My parents were very strict, and didn't allow that type of music. My surger pre-op is tomorrow and I had a call from the hospital today to get some information. During the call I was told that the doctor has requested a room for me to stay overnight. Of couse she didn't know why. I will see the dr for pre-op instructions tomorrow afternoon but I'm worried about why he'd arrange for me to stay overnight for outpatient surgery. I am diabetic and on insulin....could that be why? Anyone else have to stay overnight and why?

Hi All, How is it that some of my parts are smaller today then when I was younger and weighed less? Case in point I am wearing my high school grad ring its been way too small for decades. I also in certain light can see my rib bones on my chest I have never seen those not even at my thinnest which was 40lbs lighter then I am now. Do our bodies really change that much with age?

So, How often do you have a bowel movement? i know this is an off color topic that most women dont talk about but honestly, I work in healthcare and I am not real shy about bodily functions. Since surgery I am only going about every 4 days. Is that a normal time frame for a bandster? Also, TMI, Its pretty difficult to actually go. Before surgery it was pretty much on schedule every day. you know the routine....Sh*t, shower, shave, lol Now its really unpredictable, hard as a rock, and difficult. Any suggestions?

10 mos. out things are not so great at home. My Dr. just called and I have to have my left ovary out before Christmas. Laproscopic (spelling) ? surgery. I am suppose to have my sleeve surgery in January. Do you think my Dr.'s will agree on this schedule? Anyone had an ovary taken out? Doc said should be on my feet in 4 days... that seems long compared to what I read about the Sleeve surgery. Lately a few of my skinny friends have been making comments about how they are so jealous that I am getting the sleeve. This bugs me so stinkin much! I get it that I am getting a lifelong tool to help me control my weight but why do these skinny girls always have to make comments as if they are fat and really need it?? Take my best friend for example, she wears a size 6. I havent worn that size in probably 15 years at least and Im only 27! About 6 months post-op I started "shedding" hair - as it's so delicately put by some sources. Now at 11 months post-op it's finally starting to grow back in. The only complaint is that it looks like all the new hair is GRAY!!! OK, I'm no spring chicken I admit. I'll be 50 in a few months. But all of a sudden my "roots" look like the pure driven snow and not mostly pepper with a little salt. It looks like the Age Fairy sprinkled magic silver dust all over the top of my head. yesterday i started my monthly cycle....a week early. i am on birth control pills. i was given IV antibotics during surgery. since antibotics weaken BC pills, i expected this to happen. i'm just curious if any other ladies had this happen as well. if so, did it just last a normal cycle? i do plan on using a backup method of BC until my next months cycle just in case. thank you.

My husband of only 5 months told me he wants a divorce. And that we should have never gotten married and he wasn't ready for it. He did this back in October, and got over it and things were great! OK, I have lost about 27 lbs since my surgery! I can't EVEN believe it. Although no one really has noticed yet:001_unsure:. But, I'm feeling great......so great in fact, that I believe my sex drive is returning! LOL! Hi All I have never been well endowed at my heaviest my cup size was almost a D cup. Well 12 weeks out my girls are looking like two tiny deflated air balloons! B cups are too small and C cups way too big it is not pretty ladies! To make matters worse is the fact that I have never been smaller the a 36 (40 at my largest). I was supposed to go to the lab on Friday and get my blood drawn for a pregnancy test and I totally forgot!!! I was dealing with my DH in the hosptial that day and work and kid and UGH! I have a question... I was banded on 10/14/10 and for the last few days have had a lot of pain in my lower left side of my stomach- under my scars, so much pain that I haven't been able to sleep. I haven't had a fill yet. Can anyone help?

I have never been the kind of woman to have cravings around the time of her cycle. Maybe I was, but never knew it because I always indulged my taste buds every day of the month and so didn't notice a change in what I ate. So I am finishing up all my pre-op meetings, went to the Nut yesterday for my last meeting. She said even though I am all the way into menopause, I could possibly pop out of menopause and get pregnant during weight loss, and at my age there is a huge chance of having twins! Since we are all going to be wearing a swim suit soon, has anybody had experience with this? Waxing vs laser hair removal. I am modest, but really, everbody does it now, even the Brazilian wax, is pretty normal in most salons.

I started my monthly cycle about 2 days after surgery (which was early) and it's STILL GOING. Um, it's been almost a month. Should I be making a GYN appointment? Does this normally happen?

Hi ladies! I know ive seen threads about this before, but now that I want one, i cant find any! Im 3 1/2 weeks post-op and noticed in tonights shower that i pulled out gobs of hair while washing. I have lots of really thick long hair, so its typical I lose a lot in the shower but tonight was about twice the typical amount. How soon did any of you start noticing some hair loss, and how long before you noticed an end to it (if ever?)

Not only do I have the lap band but I work in surgery and see patients all the time have this procedure done. I have run across old and new threads about all three being months post op. Well here is the thing and I hate when people get frantic because they dont know what is wrong and want to take their band out or get the by pass done just sayin. I am 10 months post op. I often had and have shoulder pain but shoulder pain comes from over eating. Hello all I am really concerned with my lower extremity edema-right leg/ankle is worse than left. I began Kaiser classes in June 21. The first week I lost 2lbs. Two weeks later I was back 315;the original weight. July 12 weigh-in was a 10lb lost. A week later was a 12lb gain, which puts me at 317. I weigh in again on Monday, so hopefully that digital scale won't fail me. Let me say with doing a food log every day and turning in all logs and weigh-ins, how many minutes I walk a day is wonderful, because it helps. the instructor looked over my food log and mentioned that everything looks good. just go to zero calorie sodas if I have to have one. and my weakness…

Maybe others out here can relate to this topic, but I thought I would toss it out there for discussion. I realized a long time ago that I really didn't see myself as a morbidly obese person. I knew I was fat, but I never realized just how huge I was pre-op. I weighed 270lbs and I'm only 5'2" short. I was literally as wide as I was tall. But, I never really allowed my weight to affect how I felt about myself. Ok, so I thought I was doing well yesterday, but i didn't. 1100 calories and 140 carbs!! I can't believe it, i got to get back on track.
