Stomach Virus + Band = NO FUN!
Thank you for posting this. I've had this crud all weekend, and have been a nervous wreck because I've been so afraid that I was going to make my band slip. This gives me some peace of mind. Still calling my surgeon in the a.m. tho.

Lap Band and the "Stomach Flu"
Same thing with me. Only today was my 4th day. I was finally able to eat something today without it bothering me too much, but it was vegetable Soup and pudding. I'm too scared to try anything more solid. I'm so scared I slipped my band.

Lap Band and the "Stomach Flu"
I'm dealing with this right now. Only I've actually vomitted a couple of times and I dry heaved for a day and a half. Now it feels really tight when I try to eat. I don't know if I slipped my band or if maybe it's just swollen and irritated from all the vomiting, dry heaving, and muscles spasms.....

Indegestion and Foamy vomit
@LaMonica: First, WOW! so proud of you! 134 is OUTSTANDING!! lol Secondly, I'm so sorry you had all of that on your plate. It had to have been soooo stressful. I'm so scared I'm going to mess my band up. I've already had to have my port replaced less than 3 months after getting banded. I'm afraid to do ab workouts now! I was just asking because I had read some other posts and seen where they'd gone to or called their doctors and they were told it was just acid refulx. So I tried the prilosec for a week and it helped with the belching and the foam. But I still had pain when I ate small amounts and I was sooo scared I was going to cause a slippage or band erosion, so I went in to talk to my doctor about it. I had a small unfill done, and I feel great now. I just have to get back in the routine of working out everyday.... cause when you take a 2 week break b/c you don't have the energy to walk out to the mailbox.... it's hard to get back in to the groove of things. I've gained 4 of the 9 pounds I lost last month

Indegestion and Foamy vomit
Thanks everyone I went and had .5cc taken out today. I was miserable! I was staying hungry and had hardly any energy (because I could only eat such a very small amount before I would be in such pain I'd have to stop eating. I could only eat 3 or 4 small bites of fish and even less chicken. Even yougurt hurt.) I can't eat until tomorrow, but I hope I can eat a little, feel some restriction, but not be in pain or throw up. Thanks again everyone

Where are you today?
Oh I know!! That's the worst! You want to eat, because you're just use to eating when you get bored or when everyone else eats. But, when you get filled, you just can't. But, that's good too

Where are you today?
Just wondering if any of you have any setbacks so far, where you are with weight-loss, and how your excercise is coming along? And anything else you'd like to share It's been 5 months since I had my surgery, and I'm down 31lbs. I thought it'd be more at this point, but I had a "setback" in Feburary, and had to have my port replaced. It flipped, and when they went to stitch it back the surgeon seen where 2 of the little hooks never deployed so they just switched it for a whole new port. A couple of weeks ago I got a "catch-up" fill and since then I have noticed the weight starting to come off a little more. Plus I walk/jog on the treadmill for 20 mins 3 times a week, I want to work up to 45 mins 5 times a week.... but baby steps are fine with me I would love to try P90X, but I'm so afraid to do any kind of ab or core workout, I really don't want to flip my port again. My insurance runs out in 4 months and I hope to either have some money saved up, or a job to help pay for the fills. I really don't want to have to stop in the middle of my journey!

Indegestion and Foamy vomit
Yeah, I'm starting to see the numbers go down, so I really don't want them to take any out. I already feel "behind" b/c I have to have a port revision back in Feburary. I talked to my aunt (who was also banded, just a few months before I was) She said her doc said it was most likely due to her stomach still producing enough acid to digest the volume of food she was eating. She had to take Prilosec for a couple of weeks and it's been fine since then she said. So I think I will try that. My next dr appointment is in 2 weeks, so if it hasn't stopped before then I will deffinitely ask him to tke just a little out. (And I have had sinus drainage too, I live in the south and they have just started plowing the feilds around my house, and all of the honeysuckle, azeleas, and dogwoods are in bloom. I'll deffinitely do the nasal solution, and drink the pineapple juice. I'll have to see my primary care for a refill on my allergy meds. Thanks )

Indegestion and Foamy vomit
I just got my 3rd "true" fill last week. Since then, whenever I eat I get really bad indegestion (belching and burping) to the point that I vomit. But when I vomit, it's not the food that comes up, but foam. Am I too tight? I have 5cc in my AP Standard LapBand. It's not painful to eat, and I don't throw up my food, just foam. I don't want to cause an erosion, or slippage of my band. But I know at 4cc I felt no restriction. This is the first time I've felt any restriction, so I don't know if this is normal for beginners, or if I'm eating too fast, or if it's acid reflux, or ..... lol I just don't know.

Excercising after the band
Idk where the Y is around here, or if we even have one... I hadn't thought about it tho, so I will look into that. Thanks I like my excercise time to be without the kids, but that's easier said than done.... I guess I just have to learn how to share my workout time with them.

Excercising after the band
I would love to go to the gym! Just can't afford it right now. I was doing Zumba twice a week, but my oldest just started soccer, and her practices overlap my classes :/

Just don't know anymore...
It's gotten somewhat better. Idk if he is talking to her still or not... he deleted that e-mail account. I use to check ohone records... but being military strange numbers show up all the time... so idk. We only see each other twice a month... this last time he camped out with the kids the first night, and the second night he was too tired and his back hurt too bad to be intimate But he's always been either hot or cold when it came to that department. My husband tends to be that typical "chameleon" guy who acts just like the group he's with is acting. And sometimes that worries me... cause he tends to choose the young single guys to hang out with. I told him that I'm uncortable with this... but I'm not about to tell him who he can and can't be friends with. Esp when they have a serious bond from being deployed together. .... It just stinks being apart all the time...
