Just curious about what experiences you all have had with the bariatric multivitamins? Do you all have any recommendations for or against any particular ones? The nutritionist I met with recommended the Bariatric Advantage Chewable Ultra Solo with Iron.

So last year i use to keep track of my blood pressure in a log book. It was always typically in the 130-140's over 70-80's with a pulse rate of 80-100 bpm. Since surgery i have kept a log book and its typically under 120/65 and pulse rate is typically in the 60's. Interesting change.

Hi Everyone, I had the sleeve done in FEB 2022. I've lost a total of 30 lbs, which considering I was losing 1/2 pound a month before surgery. I'll take it! Figured I would be honest with myself, my calorie count has sneaked up from 800-1200, not every day, but most. I'm also eating carbs. I do not lose when doing carbs, they have to be few and far between. The good news is, Salads are on the menu again! That makes life so much easier and easier to avoid carbs. This is disappointing and I'm a bit surprised because I'm physically hungry most of the time! Thought I would share to see if anyone else has this problem. I need to clean my diet up, resume meditating everyda…

Hello all, according to guide I have from my doctor: this is what I can take week 1 below. I am confused on how to make a creamed soup as I don’t soup. Are there suggestions for a soup for week 1? Something that is easy to make? Can I have chicken broth instead of a creamed soup? My second question is about light yogurt blended with skim milk as that it was it listed in the picture I have posted. Any recommendations of a yogurt I can pick from target or Walmart to satisfy this requirement?

Do any of y'all wear the patches? I've been looking into the patch aid brand. Just wondering if your blood work looked good with just wearing the patches. I can't remember to take my vitamins by mouth. So I was hoping these actually worked.

So alot of you are aware I have been in a full on stall for 5 weeks now..ugh.....anyway today or I should say within the last few days I have broke the stall and lost 4.6 lbs FINALLY!!! How many have noticed the inches coming off even tho no weight loss occurred? I have lost alot in my chest area, my bra band was a 46/48 circumference. I am now in a 42. I have noticed the way clothes fit looser and especially my shirts in the bust and some off my belly. I am pleased and thankful for the non scale victories I am starting to see.

I have just realised that I have joined the Hundred Club. I weighed my self this morning and forgot to log it. I am crying with joy at the minute. Last week my dietician said I was smashing it and now I truly believe I am. My surgery was only 6 months and 3 weeks ago. Tomorrow I go abroad on holiday for 2 weeks. The last few holidays I put 12 pounds on. How will WLS help me keep my down wards trend I wonder ?

Everytime I get hungry just the thought of the soft food that I'm suppose to eat makes me want to vomit. I get up go to the fridge and sit back down because I can't stomach anything. I'm currently forcing a protein shake down my throat because I feel so sick and weak. I feel like I'm constantly car sick. I have no energy to get up and do house work. I'm in a lost... Is anyone else struggling this bad? I'm still drinking water all day but I can't eat... I hate food.

Good afternoon to one and all. I have taken my first step on the journey to being able to schedule my surgery. This Wednesday, June 8 I have my webinar session needed to be able to see the doctor. I know this is required but what did other people think of it when you had to watch it?

Good Afternoon All, Was wondering if anybody had any advice on working out post surgery? I am an avid gym goer (average 3-5x/week). I know for the 1st month you're not really supposed to do anything but walking. After that though, what did some of you all do and how long did it take for you to get back to some form of normal in the gym?

Hi WLS family! Tried searching for this but too broad options came up. Lately when I eat meat like skinless chicken I don’t even get a few bites in and I’m having a fullness indicator. This after I’ve also chewed it to bits as well and also well before I’ve drank anything. I stop drinking 30 minutes before I eat just experiment. I don’t FEEL gassy or anything. It’s been this way for the past couple weeks. I always had a normal appetite, my stomach gets pretty upset when I don’t eat but it’s like a total letdown when I prepare, 2oz of chicken, with sweet potatoes and or salmon & vegetables and I’m full after a couple bites ? It’s like my stomach is getting more restr…

This may be a silly question and truthfully I'm just impatient. Anyone that has gotten any tattoos pre/post opp, what was your time frame? I'd like to get a small forearm tattoo in memory of my brother that passed a year ago. I haven't gotten my surgery date but I know they will be contacting me this week to set it up in mid-late July. I clearly don't want to risk any hold up on my surgery, but I'm also just trying to get a time frame. Any insight is appreciated. [emoji4]

I have lost 100% off my excess weight, as I now sit at a “healthy” BIM. My loss just stopped when I hit 168. I thought, ok fine, maybe this is ever I was meant to land. 3 months later…the scale has started going down again. I didn’t really change what I’m doing food wise, just started walking more as the weather has improved. So a year out, things can still go down ?

So this kicks off month two post sleeve surgery and my weight loss has slowed down some. I had the three week stall; had a little movement last week and then nothing again. I havent changed much; the only thing I've added is veggies (zucchini, tomato, and mushrooms have been added back). PRotein is still the same, exercise is still the same or higher since now I can swim. I'm sure hormones are just f'ing with me, but is this common?

As someone who used to work at Starbucks from 2017-2020, the post floating around from 2014 is making me cringe just a bit. Because a lot of people on there have been drinking things under the assumption that it’s low in sugar or decaf. And unfortunately that isn’t always the case. -The chai pumps are caffeinated and HIGH in sugar because it’s a concentrate and not actual tea. I’d say the best way to get it to avoid the sugar is to ask for only 1 pump, tell them to add water, and get it with non-fat or 1% milk. I believe there used to be a reduced sugar version of the chai, but I believe it was phased out. You could also just buy your own chai tea bags and heat up s…

So i started the pre op diet on April 4th. Surgery April 18th. So far these are my stats 6 weeks post op. Always do my measurements on the 4th of the month. Not bad. Wish it was a little quicker but not bad for 6 weeks post op.

Yes, got my period on day 2 of post op. So I don't know if I'm cramping because of my period or it's hunger pains. I've never had cramps during my period in the past but I've always had heavy periods. Can someone help me figure this out. I'm in pain, seriously [emoji52]

I'm a newbie so maybe I am obsessing about nothing but I am about 2 weeks post-op and losing weight as expected. I'm not worried about the scale too much but I am so tired of the big middle I had and the thing is - it's still there!! The inches seem to be dropping everywhere EXCEPT my stomach. WTH? Is this normal? is the weight around your middle the last to go? This is depressing.

Im so disappointed in myself. I have been craving foods that aren't good for you. Up until the last couple of days. I have been able to fight it off. But today I have eaten all day long. My food choices are not as bad as they were before WLS (most everything has Protein in it). but I can't believe I have eaten so much. Today I've eaten : breakfast: Greek yogurt w/ protein granola. Snacks all day ?♀️ (unknown amounts) I've gone back several times for a handful of granola and bbq Pork rinds lunch 4oz of honey baked ham and 2oz of mashed potatoes supper Greek yogurt w/ protein granola I never got any restriction feeling but I am…

Am I the only one who some days has no appetite and then turn around the next and feel almost no restriction? I’m only three months post op. I have been increasing my workouts recently so I don’t know if that is playing a part. I just feel like some days my appetite is non stop and I’m so afraid of stretching my pouch.

I’m juuuuust about 3 weeks out and as a die hard New Englander, i drink iced coffee year round. I haven’t had any caffeine in over a month. I cut it out during the pre op diet. When did everyone start adding coffee back in? I’m a milk only person with my iced coffee so no, I’m not missing the sugar, just my delicious iced coffee on warm sunny days.

Hi! My surgery was on 4/4/2022 so I'm 6 days post op today. I was sent home with 28 days worth of Lovenox injections to prevent blood clotting. I understand how important they are and 100% plan on doing what I need to do with them, however, I am bruising up after some of the injections. I already have the bruises from the incisions which look ROUGH, but I feel like these bruises might be contributing to the chaos that is my torso right now. I also saw in the side effects and papers about the injections to contact the doctor if you start to bruise, but it's listed as a "minor side effect" and I don't feel sick or anything from it so I've kept on with them and will say some…

It feels completely rediculous putting this into words but its how I’m feeling. im about a month post op and I have had a good experience overall. Nothing ive tried so far has made me sick, im losing pretty steadily. but i have heavy restriction, i can eat like 1.5 oz today was a really bad, hard day and i am just feeling so overwhelmed and frustrated with life and upset that i can’t have a meal. That i can’t find comfort in food. this is the first time ive really come to terms with my food addiction. Im desperately wanting to just eat and my body wont tolerate it so i wont even try so its just making me feel sad and upset. i know its stupid and crazy. I…

In a week and a half, I'll be able to introduce vegetables back into my diet which I am SUPER excited about. Does anyone have any good ideas for what vegetables to reintroduce and methods of preparation? I've been advised to avoid a lot of fibrous veggies (broccoli, cauliflower) at first and to not eat raw vegetables. I'm thinking thinly sliced cucumber, cooked zucchini, steamed green beans would be great starters.

I was sleeved in August 2021. Since then I have lost 108 pounds and have exercised around 1.25 hours per day, mostly walking and occasional bike rides. My heart rate has slowly gone down but recently I am seeing a resting heart rate of 46-48 routinely. The doctor does not seem concerned but at 58 years old I am a little worried. Has anyone else seen similar changes in heart rate? For reference, my BP is 120/70. I am off all meds except a very small does of lisinopril which the Doc wants to keep me on due to a family history of heart disease and HBP.

Hooray, I finally made it to the puréed stage! So many choices that it was hard to decide. I had 1% cottage cheese with two teaspoons of puréed pineapple. My stomach did fine, but my head got a little dizzy towards the end. Probably a blood sugar spike. It was worth it! I’m going to try refried beans (runny) with cheese for dinner. Today is three weeks from my sleeve surgery. I’ve only lost 10 pounds since my surgery, but 29 pounds overall. I can really feel the difference in my legs when we go for a walk and no more body aches. We walked a steep hill in our neighborhood yesterday and I didn’t have to stop to catch my breath. It’s weird because I look the same when I s…

Hi all! Hope you are all doing well! I will start my week 6 tomorrow. Where I can have a lot more of a variety of foods. I’m nervous, but excited. I do have some questions though. I’m meeting my protein goal of 60g minimum, and most of the time, my water goals as well. But, I’m hungry a lot. Surgery was 4/28 and I loved for the first week and for the first time in my life, I wasn’t hungry. It was so nice to not think about food…lol. But, it didn’t last long. I’m following my doctors program to the tee as much as I am physically able to! I don’t know if I’m not eating enough or what. I am worried about eating too much in a sitting, and I’m wanting to develop good habits, s…

I have not had my surgery as of yet, its May 3rd but I was wondering about sleeping in an upright position post op. I had heard a few ppl say they had to sleep upright to keep the heartburn at bay. One person said she slept in an upright position for 3 months post op to cut the awful heartburn she was having. She said she never had GERD or any form of it before the surgery but afterwards she described it as liquid fire. She didnt say if she still has problems with this currently (its been over a year for her since her surgery).
