I am beyond ecstatic. I am now below 300 pounds! I started at 540 pounds on October 29, 2015 when I started this whole journey. I had surgery on May 29, 2016 at 480 pounds and Now, 10 1/2 months later I weigh 297.8! I have not had a 2 in the front of my weight in FOREVER. I only have 98 pounds to go until I hit my goal! (Which may change, I'm more going for a clothing size goal now more than a number goal ) I used to have to be on oxygen all the time because I was so fat I could not breathe properly. Now I can walk for over an hour with no break and not be out of breath! I am so extremely happy with my progress! I used to HATE getting my picture t…

I am about 18 months out and the weight loss has slowed down considerably. Not to work, I am EXTATIC to have lost a full size man, even as I have a ways to go before my goal. The Victory I am writing about is this - My 21 Year Old Son (College Lacrosse Player with about 5% body fat) borrowed a pair of shorts from me AND THEY FIT HIM!!!!! There are many victories on the Weight Loss Journey, and the scale in only one of them!

Has any one received the free nutrition shakes from Premier nutrition? Or, it may be called Insure Nutrition. I received a supply of free nutritional drinks and noticed I did not receive them this month. I called and was told they lost a contract in the state of North Carolina therefore I will not be receiving them anymore. Sent from my VS995 using BariatricPal mobile app

I will be 8 weeks out on Tuesday 8/16. I've been at same weight since 6 weeks. Now that I am able to eat regular foods I am finding it hard to eat right. Surgery was last hope for me and I don't want to fail. Started excercising more and hasn't changed anything on scale. Does anyone have any thoughts on things I can do?

YAY! I'm 6 weeks post-op today and I can wear my size 16 jeans that I haven't fit into in probably 4-5 years!!! I am so happy with my progress and my doctor said he is impressed also because he was only expecting me to have lost 5-6 pounds from my 2 week check-up, but I lost 11! Some people are losing faster than me, but hey, as long as that scale is going down, I'm okay with any loss! I'm now released from all restrictions and I can go to the gym and start lifting and toning and doing more than just walking nowhere on that dang treadmill! Another NSV for me lately is that I can walk up 2 flights of stairs and not get winded! Before I would try to walk up 2 flight…

Hi Everyone! I wanted to give an update as I recently hit my one year mark. The results have been unbelievable, much better than expected. HW-380 SW-361 CW-180 Wow! I never imagined I would lose 200 pounds when I was thick in the misery of weighing 380 pounds. My initial goal was 220 with a stretch goal of 190. I flew past both of those in about ten months and have now stabilized at the 180 mark for a couple of months. I can do SO many more things now that I couldn't do before, it's amazing. On a recent trip to San Fran I could charge up down the hills without stopping every 20 feet. I nearly kept up with my 18 year old son and was w…

  12. I am almost at goal! Took a lot longer than I expected but I am loving this new body! Not so much for the extra skin though. I want to start researching plastic surgeons to tighten up my tummy, arms and legs. I only lost about 70 pounds but it's jiggly for sure, not hanging over or anything though - so no way will insurance cover it. Anyone have great results with an affordable surgeon? I don;t mind going to Mexico or Central America to save some money either! Thanks~!

Hello friends, I just wanted to share something that I am really happy about. I was approved for WLS last August. At that time, I weighed 334 (highest weight). I had 2 incisional hernias from previous open abdominal surgeries. I have been in constant pain ever since. My surgeon, who is super, told me that I needed to lose 80 pounds before he would perform the hernia surgery on me. Yesterday I went in for my 6 month sleeve check (my sleeve was 11-14) and also to discuss hernia surgery. I have lost 100 pounds! I can now safely have my hernia surgery.... he said that I am no longer considered "high risk". The news as to what the open hernia surgery will …

Just sleeved 4/7, so tomorrow will be officially one week. I'm so excited to have had it done! Now that the production is over, I already feel behind. I was behind prior to leaving the hospital....received so much Fluid I couldn't possibly get it all down. Now that I can have Soups, I'm wondering how many oz of Soup per sitting? I'm trying to get use or distinguish between the "full" versus "gas" feeling.

  17. I just had the most fun I've had in a while last night...GOING THROUGH CLOTHES!! Never thought that would be considered a "fun" experience. Trying on clothes that I haven't worn in YEARS (and some only a few months), and comparing how they look now to pictures of when they were in active rotation, was at the same time fun, a bit depressing, and cathartic. I'm down a size almost 2 months after surgery, in both shirts and pants. Most of my shirts flap on me now, pants are quickly catching up. I'm very glad (now) that I don't often clean out my closet - I realized I have a bunch of stuff that is getting me through this first purge without a shopping spree (alt…

  22. Well.....Happy New Year? I can't believe I haven't posted since December! This is the first time I've posted here in 2017! I guess as time goes on, you just kind of adjust to the new "normal" and it because less "new" if that makes sense. That's probably why you don't see as many people 3+ years post op on the online forums. You just kind of settle into the new routine and you don't have to work at it as much to maintain. Here are some recent pics. One is just me and the other two are with my daughter (I'm the one on the right in both). I also have lots of pictures before/after surgery and tummy tuck in my blog (themeiamnow.blogspot.com). So...where am I…

While I didn't find it such an issue until I got down to 122 and find it hard not to loose. I even have gone back to eating more carbs then usual. I look too thin now, and my face is very thin, and starting to look very old. Has anyone else had this issue. I'd like to gain back about 5-8 lbs

I really thought my weight loss ended lol but I changed things around and I started to lose again! the stall sucked!! it made me feel awful for some reason..then my co workers reminded me how far I've come already. this surgery wasn't an easy way out, it still takes a lot of work mentally and physically to get to where we want to be! so for those of u who are at a stall just remember its temporary and don't beat yourself up. I had a great feeling today. I went for a walk with my parents in my neighborhood and I haven't really walked around the neighborhood in a long time. It brought back memories from over a year ago when I couldn't even walk one small flat block. Now I'm walking around multiple blocks and up and down hills. Without getting even a little out of breath. It was a great reminder of where I started and how far I've come.

Hit a big milestone today...I'm 9 months post-op & lost 100 lbs! So happy for myself though Still working towards goal. Couldn't be happier with my results & my decision to take this step towards a happier-healthier life. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner! I have wonderful support system and for that I'm so grateful. It's funny tho certain people (mostly co-workers) have not commented or asked me 1 question since surgery 9 months ago (which I was open about from the get go). I'm not sure what to make of that but truthfully my family & my "true" friends opinions are what matter to me. I feel like an ugly/angry weight has been lifted from my shoulder…

  34. Has anyone heard of regaining skin elasticity? I a year out and lost oh I don't know only maybe 65 pounds but from a lifetime of yo-yo dieting and sunbathing I have lots of very loose skin. Other than surgery, I don't like the scars, have you heard of supplements or treatments that can get skin elasticity back? I've heard of some kind of roller thing that people brag about but that's the only thing.

My ideal weight is around 16 stone and no less as I've got a big frame and will look ill if I loose anymore. When you reach each your target weight are you able to Maintain without losing anymore weight by increasing your calories? If so how is this done when you are still only able to eat a fraction of the amount of food you could before. Any advice would ould be very much appreciated. Many thanks

  38. No, dermabellix has zero reactions dermabellix on the skin since it is a verified equation to deal with the facial skin after the age of at least 30. In the event that you wish to have protected and solid results, then it is vital to adhere to its suggested application. There is no compelling reason to experience its surpassed application since it may be hurtful to your skin. Aside from it, pregnant and nursing moms are entirely disallowed of its utilization. Youngsters must avoid its range. On the off chance that these circumstances are satisfied, then it will give precise and beneficial yields in a matter of seconds. http://www.besthealthdiet.com/dermabellix-review…
