  4. Thankyou! Are you Aussie? Who did your sleeve? I had Adam Skidmore he was fantastic and has worked overseas & spoken at conferences overseas too! I'm seeing Dean Trotter. Check him out on his website. He seems very good! I haven't got costs yet, waiting for the quote and therefore the heart attack
  5. Saw the surgeon, have decided to go with a breast lift, body lift & fix my arms. He said I'll be either a B or C cup which I'm happy with I don't want big breasts & I wanted to avoid implants if I could. I will need to go back to get legs done another time.

  7. Hi everyone So excited today I'm going to see a reconstructive surgeon in Melbourne for my excess skin removal initial consult. I had sleeve surgery in March 2016. I weighed 140.2 and I now weigh 87.2 heaviest weight was around the 160 mark. I have a lot of excess skin so really looking forward to this day!

  15. Yep! Can't stand the taste anymore. Shattered because I really did love eggs
  16. Hey, good luck for your surgery! I see the surgeon in a fortnight to work out what I need done, one thing for sure is my arms they are similar to yours. I'll follow your journey!
  17. I'm 1 year post op and still can't stand the taste of eggs. Yet I loved eggs pre op. Theres a few other things I've gone off too which isn't bad i.e. Chocolate but I'm a bit shattered I'm off eggs
  18. I loved optifast pre op but post op I found it too sweet. I loved the shakes, the soups not as much to be honest
  19. No but I didn't really talk a great deal to him to be honest. How are you going anyway? I see my reconstructive surgeon in a fortnight!!! Super excited!!!
  20. Looks like your going overseas then! Good luck
  21. If you started paying private health now, 12 months flies pretty quick. To see Adam you need to see him as a private patient not a public one. You can make an appointment for a consultation even if you don't have private health yet.
  22. I had my surgery done in Melbourne by Adam Skidmore. He's brilliant. Can't you just pay the health insurance in advance ? Much cheaper that way? Surgery cost just over 5k, hospital $500, anesthetist $1500 all done. I struggled with a 3 hour drive back to my house, don't know how I'd cope in a plane for that long even if it was a week after

  25. Since having my surgery, I've found out a friends daughter had it so we got in contact and chat regularly, not just about the sleeve but life in general. Point of story, she got her reconstructive surgery completed a few months ago and they used super to pay for it. That will be a big relief if I can also get approval from super, I was thinking I'd have to take out a loan! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  26. I didn't, I paid for it myself but I will use my super to pay for my reconstructive surgery. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
