NSV!!! 6 weeks Post-Op today!

YAY! I'm 6 weeks post-op today and I can wear my size 16 jeans that I haven't fit into in probably 4-5 years!!! :D I am so happy with my progress and my doctor said he is impressed also because he was only expecting me to have lost 5-6 pounds from my 2 week check-up, but I lost 11! Some people are losing faster than me, but hey, as long as that scale is going down, I'm okay with any loss! I'm now released from all restrictions and I can go to the gym and start lifting and toning and doing more than just walking nowhere on that dang treadmill!

Another NSV for me lately is that I can walk up 2 flights of stairs and not get winded! Before I would try to walk up 2 flights at once and be huffing and puffing and feeling like an elephant was standing on my chest, not to mention my knees and legs hurting and feeling like spaghetti.

Y'all have a great weekend! My family and I are all going fishing on Sunday so hopefully we'll catch something other than a sunburn! :D

I am 3 weeks post op and i hit a stall! I am worried its going to stay like that.. i am just getting into the regular foods phase and i totally lost ( before & after surgery ) 48 lbs - and even though i work out daily and drinking my almost 80 grams of protein - i haven't been losing any weight past week... hopefully this will go away soon because i got long ways to go yet!

I was at a stall beginning on day 17. I was so scared and nervous that I was doing something wrong. Everyone told me judo that stress and keep doing what I have been which is following the plan and walking. Your body just needs time to regulate to its new normal. Give it a few days and you will be fine and losing weight quickly!! Good luck!!

That's an amazing feeling! Congrats on your success!

I think just about everyone on this forum has hit the dreaded 3 week stall. It will pass. Don't get frustrated and try to keep a positive attitude.

Yes, I hit the stall around 3 weeks but again at 6 weeks. I'm now 7.5 weeks out and my weight hasn't changed since beginning of week 6. Actually, it went up a few pounds which really had me stressing. Now it's back to where it was, but hopefully it will start going down again!

  • 2 weeks later...

So glad to read these posts I have been stalled so many times. I lost 35 pounds in the first 6 weeks and I was disappointed. Then I have been at a stall for the last couple of weeks. I actually fluctuated up and down by a pound. Now that I can eat just about anything I find myself eating wrong. Sometimes I feel like I am eating too much of wrong things. I get hungry a lot!! I'm trying to do some sort of excercise daily. I just don't want to fail...
