Food Before and After Photos

Like weight loss before and after photos but of your new diet !

I'm especially interested in before and after meal photos (take a pic at the point you feel restriction) but it can be of recipe substitutions, your refrigerator/pantry/shopping cart/etc

So I made shakshuka for the fam this morning. There was tomato gravy left that I later heated and cracked two eggs in with a slice of sesame sourdough.

What I plated (very ambitious, but what’s new)

How I did. Has almost one whole white and two bites of the sourdough.

Butter chicken and a vegetable samosa. First picture is before dinner, then after dinner; the third is after second dinner.

WLS has turned me into a hobbit. I eat Breakfast, second breakfast, elevensies, lunch, dinner, second dinner. I feel like I eat every 2 hours and all the time.

Looks good! I feel you! I eat all the time too but it's very important to eat meals. I work out a lot and have to eat! My body is always like HELLO time to eat! I'm kinda on a schedule. So far it has worked for me eating frequently. Weight loss is still consistent about 2 to 2.5 pounds per week. I also stick to FULL fats keeps me fuller longer! P.S also because the food noise/cravings are gone sometimes I eat like a body builder the same S!#t everyday ?

Reckon it was that half bun?

possibly, i've read lots of folks on here saying they to have "issues" digesting bread/pasta/rice...you may be one too.

i would like your recipe, please!

This is pretty similar to the one I use. They key to a good recipe is a high egg to milk ratio, so you get proper height and rise. I do alter it a bit though. I add finely diced fresh herbs and garlic. And I used lard as the fat, as t's easily available and has a high smoke point.

Have to admit I’ve never made them either. I remember mum making toad in the hole when we were young but never plain Yorkshire puddings. Watch them making them on all the UK cooking shows and I think one day.

PS. Mentioning UK cooking shows, does anyone else find Prue Leith annoying. Forcing myself to watch her Cotswold Kitchen at the moment & find myself criticising her & complaining the whole time. She’s annoying on Bake-off too. Yet I enjoyed her back in the day on Great British Menu. I’m team Mary berry all the way.

I am also team Mary Berry ? but ultimately I gave up on TGBBO because I found everyone very very whiny.

Now if you watch American cooking shows, I find Ree Drummond (The pioneer woman) annoying.

The Mary Berry era was much better on TGBBO. Mel & Sue too (though I do like Noel - think that’s tied to him being in The IT Crowd sitcom which I enjoyed ?). Though if you want really bad watch the NZ version. The Australian one has a lot if forced laughter at very bad jokes & puns by the bakers but the NZ one is the worst. We don’t get a lot of US cooking shows here in Aust but I will avoid Ree Drummond if she ever starts here.

I got a Mary Berry cook book as a wedding present 49 years a go. I [and my family ] am eternally greatful to the lady for the simple recipes and good pictures in it. I enjoy cooking because of that thoughtful present.

I don't mind Pru Leith on the show, she plays second fiddle to Paul Hollywood but I admit she needs to loosen up a bit. I do look forward to seeing what bad clothes and plastic 'jewels' she has on. Noel and Alison are a good team but she is everywhere on English TV and its a bit same old, same old zany stuff. I don't want to see her anymore for a few years.

I have never seen the NZ GBBO but oh boy the Aussies have murdered Masterchef.

My badge of hate goes to the one time footballer and now advert for face lifts, Gordon Ramsey. He is a proper tit. Why would you want to watch an ego that big. I would smash his unperfect face with a big cast iron frying pan for ever daring to speak to me like he does. The people on the show just need help. They should not need embarrassing along the way

Made high protein absolutely decadent chocolate mousse using silken tofu, melted stevia orange dark chocolate, cocoa powder, vanilla and cafe latte whey protein. This is so creamy, chocolatey and tastes like the real deal. I had one of the smaller ramekins.

Trying this high protein, lower sugar cereal that’s supposed resemble Cheerios. Served myself 1/3 cup with 1/3 skim milk. It was okay but way too sweet for my liking.

What a wonderful gift. I have her Baking Bible as an e-book. I agree straight forward easy to follow recipes (not that I bake any more ☹️).

Prue talks down to everyone and o don’t like her superior upper class air that actually seems fake. Excessively pretentious. I don’t mind Alison but she can get a bit loud and over the top sometimes.

But oh God yes the Aust Masterchef is appalling. Watched one episode when it began and said nope, never again. Did watch the final episode of last year’s season only because I was away with a friend and she loves it. I have no words and begged her to watch the UK version to see what it should really be like. An aunt lives it the Aust version & was very upset with my mum & I when we called it very poor copy of the original. She was adamant it began in Australia. Had to break it to her that the current UK show (with John & Greg which was when I started watching it) began in 2005 but had been around for years before that in a slightly different format.

Gordon Ramsay in the face with a big cast iron frypan ???.

oh dear god, i bet you $100 (CAD, lol) that the Canadian version is EVEN WORSE. i still watch it though (cuz i loooove cooking shows), i just fast forward all the talking.

love Mary, can tolerate Prue (but her ranking goes up if she's on a show with Noel, lol)).

ree bugs me too.

My fave cooking host of all time is Padma on Top chef. she's the perfect mix of constructive criticism, humour and disdain ahhahaha. plus she's super cool and dresses nice.

honourable mention is Phil Rosenthal on Someone Feed Phil. while not a cooking show (more like an eating show). he's honestly so endearing. and his parent's (r.i.p) cameos in his older shows were sooooo hilarious.

i used to hate him with a fire of a thousand suns too...until i watched Masterchef Junior several years ago and realized TV is fake (who knew?? lol). He employs TOTALLY different persona on the Junior shows. He's actually kinda sweet and nurturing on them. I figure his ass-hole-ery on Hell's Kitchen is all for show - or maybe it his schtick on Junior that is...either way, he's probably just a regular guy. ??‍♀️ (plus those people that appear on the shows probably already know what they are getting themselves into and have their own share of schtick going on...)

...in any case i watch it anyway cuz i love the food and cooking! i'll just fast forward if it gets to cringey.
