Non-food rewards

  • Popular Post

Hey, does anybody want to share their non-food rewards? I hit 60 lbs down today and I'm going to take a long lunch break from work and go see Night School. I've also just scheduled a massage and facial. Whee!

Anybody else? I'd love to build a list of non-food rewards that we can turn to when we deserve a treat but cheesecake is NOT it!

xo

  • My non food reward was to buy a motorcycle! I did not want to be heavy on one so I always told myself if I lost enough weight I would finally get one!

I have a charm bracelet (in the Pandora style, but it isn't Pandora-branded) that I'm adding a charm to, every time I lose 10 pounds.

At 90 lbs down I treated myself to a new fall coat and 3 new pairs of shoes.

I don’t know if this counts but I plan to burn my maternity jeans once they are too big and buy a some nice new ones for non-pregnant women. Really looking forward to doing that.

And Bettie will be sad and blue no longerm you'll fine her on the boutique side of life. No more in the back of the store next to the cleaning supplies, in Plus Sizes. She's free at last, yes free at last, bless the surgeon that done it and Bettie Blue that mad it so!?

Hell yeah this counts! You go girl!

Ohh I like this one... other than clothes and shoes I bought myself a custom made leather purse/bag. I’d hoped to do it for my 100 lb loss but actually went a little early (98ish).

When I get closer to goal I’ll have my eyes on a leather jacket. There might also be jewelry.

Non material I’ve got some trips planned. I’ve done Spa days too for incremental goals.

My next milestone: less than 220 lbs means a double-digit weight in kilograms (I know, I'm a nerd). That will be a pedicure. Next milestone after that: 216, which will be halfway to my goal. Not sure what my reward will be for that. And then the big Onederland milestone. Might try to get out of town for a weekend with the hubby when I get there!

I'm still pre-op but I set up the following NSV milestones:

55lbs golf lessons

65lbs dance lessons

75lbs standup comedy or voice lessons

85lbs SCUBA certification

95lbs a used set of golf clubs

105lbs a SCUBA trip to Monterey

I'm also in the man/pedi club when I reach milestones. Although in a pound I'll be in the piercing/tattoo club! My first tattoo...if I got a piercing that wouldn't be the first but apparently body modification is my BIG present to myself at final goal :D

My next milestone is 220 as well

Great list! I need to recommit to goal rewards... I keep losing my list ?

Every 10 pounds I buy a sack of flour and set it in a stack next to fridge. I'm 2 bags in since surgery (Sept 27) Good motivator when I want to open fridge for a unnecessary bite!

I’ve been doing tattoos. Ever since i was 4 years old I’ve loved tattoos. I had a few done before surgery but never felt like I was pretty enough or worth the time and money to get beautiful art done on such a hideous body. Now post op, I’ve been going and having pieces done a that I’ve wanted for years.
