August Sleevers-How are you doing??

Recommended Posts

I love reading about everyone's success and its great to have a place to vent our struggles with those who understand.

What I find interesting is how different everyone's diet/meal plan restrictions are.

My Dr was pretty easy going and a 7 weeks I could eat anything I wanted, I've had no problems with salad, raw veggies or meat.

its interesting to read that other have been told to wait months before having steak, veggies etc.

Follow your plan and the weight will come off. Keep up the great work team August!

Well, I weighed in this morning and so far, I've lost another 0,8 kg. Yesterday, though, I went down to Denver to see a friend and before I left, she gave me a ziploc bag full of Cookies and a ziploc bag full of candy. Naturally, those things went into the trash once I got home.

Alright guys! Stats time! Put your surgery date, weight loss and starting weight up here for motivation.

My surgery was 8/23, I started at 335 and I'm down to 303! 32 pounds gone forever. emoji1430.png let me hear your stories!

My surgery was 8/21.

Original weight was 299. Surgery weight was 257. I'm down to 229 now so a total of 70 pounds lost. Getting rid of my biggest clothing because I won't need them again! I still have clothes of many sizes so I'm delaying buying more as long as I can. I'm very glad I did this.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
